i would say it is not difficult to find your pc but i find that the rig is in a slightly different place than on the ground due to the inflation. i have jumped only one other non monowing (prodigy 1) and there is a very different feel. the prodigy doesnt inflate at all and so it feels like a regular skydive pull. not good or bad, just different. dont let life pass you by

Dave, Can you elaborate as to why you shoot ISO 400. It would seem to be adding noise to your pictures that is not needed during all day light conditions other than noticeable sunset. I would caution against using this setting and recommend ISO 100 to the vast majority of skydiving applications. Use the lowest ISO setting possible for your conditions to eliminate noise and 100 is more than adequate for daylight skydiving. I agree with using TV most of the time unless you are requiring a specific DOF or effect. dont let life pass you by

i was bit very heavily as you were two years ago. i considered the very same things you consider. I have done 800 jumps in two years keeping my good paying job and jumping every minute of my off time. i still dream it, live it and think about it every day. and wait till the base bug bites you next. but here are the downsides to leaving your job and doing the trailer thing as the dz. no health insurance. no money. no money to jump. no money to eat. your are living the skydiving dream and you are happy. stay in your cube job and monday to friday you are dying (watch videos to help with the pain). but the weekend are alive and you have money to jump, buy gear, and get your ratings.. after a couple of years and a few hundred jumps if you are still gung ho,, i would say then give it up the cube job and be a full time instructor living in the dz trailer. when the first kiss gleam has worn off and you know exactly what you are getting into. in my humble opinion you can get there faster working a cube job with money than giving it up and moving to the dz and packing. dont let life pass you by

owc is pretty cool, i also recommend the projects wakeboard camp if you are serious wakeboarder, i have been there a couple of times and it rips.. pat panakos was running it,, but looks like it is under new ownership.. check it out. lot of pros ride there p dont let life pass you by

they do a lot of speed traps, laser from a bike or overpass,, more than most states.. due to their high drug traffic , highway patrol is very aggressive. 30 over should get u a nice rectal exam,, enjoy dont let life pass you by

rebel xt, xti, or xsi with a canon 15mm or canon 10-22.. it is high quality rugged equipment,, it is proven in the skydiving community, it is easy to find a bite/blow switch for it. and chicks really dig it.. dont let life pass you by

some people have used gaffers tape to cover any holes that allow wind into openings on camera that may cause it to shut off. other people sell non sony models to their wuffo friends and buy SONY. just saying. dont let life pass you by

Here are some pics from a rocket jump. This was a classified launch (star wars defense test)and we were very very lucky to even get a shot of it. We got a 12 minute estimated call as we were climbing Pilot did a great job of getting on jump run around the estimated launch time. Here are some pics from a 3 way night jump http://pablo.smugmug.com/gallery/6536432_8aWgb#415647992_FnZuh this was taken with a rebel xt, sigma 15mm, 580 ex II( set at M 1/1), 1/200(flash sinc), f5.0, iso 100 and shot in RAW. they were a little overexposed but corrected nicely by one stop in post editing. here are some pointers i learned the hard way. unplug your cameye,, it is way too bright for my liking,,,when u shoot video-use the super night shot and it will pick up during your flashes.. make sure everything is set up the way u want it and ready to go before you get in the plane cause u cant see dick ... carry your cell phone on night jumps to call the pizza guy when u land out. lastly, do more night jumps- they rock dont let life pass you by

i have made a dozen or so jumps with my cannon 580 ex II. i mount mine on top of my bh box with velcro and fastec strap on a ftp.. here is the deal,, it is freakin great when u get the distance right and the shot right.. you can really screw it up too. it is very heavy to add when u have video, stills and flash,, it is a very noticeable difference.. i have used them on night jumps and they work great. if you can really afford the 500 bucks and dont mind the weight... they are fantastic, but u might not use it as much as you want due to the negatives... if u have any questions,, pm p dont let life pass you by

i think there are like 3 hd cams in the bottom of the new river right now after BD feeding the local fish. that would be some expensive fish food. !!!!!!! i am sure they would love a gourmet ex cam. dont let life pass you by
