  1. Midwest Freefall, Michigan - Pabst Blue Ribbon ( we are just a bunch of red necks )
  2. You might want to use the services of a third party, such as a gear shop so they can do a full inspection after which they will fax you a complete report, before you send any money to the seller.
  3. Did you jump Liz ? Some friends from Napoleon went down - Chris and Theresa, did you see them down there ?

A guy I know who has got out of the sport is selling his stuff for a fair price.
  5. I have a classic 1 with the single zipper. Yes it is a bit of a pain in the butt to get into, but the price was right, so it was worth getting. Have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. so what are you going to do about our roads, they must be the worst in the country.
  7. i have always been led to beleive that darker colors absorbe uv more readily where as lighter colors reflect it more. As the sun is nylons worst enemy I have always steered towards the lighter colors.
  8. For those of you who know him. Long time Michigan skydiver Tom Racho did his 3,000th on Saturday at Midwest Freefall. We did a nice 8 way from 2 C-182,s flying in formation. Congrats Racho.

  14. I was able to jump with Jari during the Richmond boogie this past weekend, just wanted to say thanks for the instruction. It was great to watch during break off as he dove down then went max lift. COOL !
  15. I don't think the price is a reflection on the quality of the canopy. I think the labor market in South Africa together with the rand exchange rate is more the reason they are so cheap. Look at the Tempo reserve, they are one of the most popular reserves on the market and if there were any problems we would have heard about them by now......
  16. I used to live in Spain, so that was my local DZ. It was a great place to jump. Fantastic views of the coast line. Just 2 km to the sea. Night life is really good. In the summer months the town is really hopping. Anymore info, let me know. Bob.............
  17. I see Bill Coen from time to time at Midwest Freefall. He is doing well and is still jumping.
  18. I was lucky enough to pick up one of the ex demo suits at last years Richmond boogie for just $250. So if anyone is looking to buy a used suit check in with Kim at their booth toward the end of the boogie this year to see what they have for sale.
  19. I have to agree with Larry. It is a very nice dropzone to jump at. Everyone is very friendly. Have a great time. Bob...........
  20. I found your review. Thanks. I also looked in the gear section. People seem to be happy with their Hornets. You can't beat the price. I just called Mike at Pier Ltd and would you believe $850 for one of the shelf. Great deal................
  21. My wife is thinking about buying a Hornet 150. Does anyone have anything to say about these canopies, either good or bad. Thanks.
  22. I think one of the tasks on the new A licence profficiency card is a hop n pop from 3,500'
  23. I am both an AFF and tandem instructor. This past year I have been teaching the tandem progression method (first 3 jumps are tandem then 4 AFF) This I think has a big advantage over traditional AFF because the first 3 jumps you are there with the student during canopy control giving direct supervision. By the time they progress to the AFF portion canopy control is no longer a big mystery.
