my only reserve ride is with a wingsuit: #full flight (Skyflyer) opening with a Mirage G3 (no modifications), the bag started to spin and caused severe line twists in my Contrail 105 (loaded 1.5). I use a full face helmet almost always when I'm flying wingsuit. (And almost always with a camera) The only jumps I may choose not to wear one are some warm sunset solo flights in nice scenery, where I really want to feel everything that is possible. So that is about 2 to 5 jumps in a year. And on those jumps I have planned not to swoop my FX. I have been saved by a helmet twice. Yep, It's me. eWave, I owe you a beer ;) I suppose the exit speed of the An-26 is around 200kts, so you really do not need too much prop blast in addition to it... Only things I was worried about were if my suit can take the speed without breaking from seams and the lenght of the tail section of the plane that continues quite far behind the ramp. Yes, this is the way it all happens In_An_Ideal_Situation. How about thinking what happens when one or more of these things happen: you are low, spinning, do not see the handle, can't use your right hand (how do you pul the main with your right hand disabled? do you rely solely to right hand?) have cold hands or/and poor feel in your hands because of cold or gloves, have a wingsuit on and so on... We should be concider also the not_so_perfect situations. They do happen. At least your last chance (the reserve handle type) should be concidered these things in mind.
