Wanted to give some major kudos to Abbie and Skydive Idaho for a chance to set the CRW state record this past weekend. In conjunction with the Leap of Faith Boogie, benefiting the Boise Rescue mission for the homeless, Abbie had put out an invite for CRW dawgs to come set the first CRW state record. We had dawgs from Idaho, Califronia, Washington and Texas. On Saturday we built a 7-way box to set the first state record. Then we broke and rebuilt it to set the sequential record. On Sunday we built an 8-way wedge, breaking the previous day's record. Additionally- there was a CCR, a CCS and in the spirit of sharing the CRW love we helped 3 pups get thier 4-stack. Overall a great weekend! Thanks to- Eric, Mike, Abbie, Jack, Bart, Dan. Pat, John, and Bill for the jumps. Hopefully someone else can post video, I lost my memory stick. doing runbacks or rebuilds can add some fun to your stacks. maybe you could see if you can find a CRW dawg or 2 that could come to your DZ for a camp. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

I have an 8 gig Scandisc Sansa Fuse. Paid less than $80 at Amazon. After doing lots of research went with this one because it has a micro card slot I can have more than the internal memory of tunes on tap at any time. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

currently- my distance from the stack when I come off the top during rotes. If you are above sashay to get down. Then switch to fronts and make adjustments to how much fronts you need to keep your canopy level with or a little below where you are docking. a tail pocket is an option for CRW canopies. and the canopy is free packed with out a D-bag. it gives faster openings but also increases the chance of a slammer if you over delay. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

people who don't wait to see if someone is getting off the elevator before charging right in. people in line at a stop light yapping on the phone causing them to have an extremely delayed reaction when the light turns green. if you can't talk and drive in a timely manner, hang up or pull over! diamonds are a dawgs best friend

Broke my ankle and had hardware installed and was out of jumping for several months back in 09'. Under Dr. supervision I did sports medecine rehab to get the range of motion and stability back. And I waited extra time after I was cleared to return to sports activity before skydiving again. Because it sure would have sucked to go back too quick and re-injure and be grounded even longer. So listen to your docs, do your rehab even when you don't want to, listen to your body and the sky will be there when the time is right. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

bring extra layers (long johns/ under armor) and glove liners. crw dawgs stay up longer and temps aloft can be pretty chilly. bring at least 1 extra pair of shoes, and jump in shoes you wont mind losing if necessary. relax, the working time of a crw jumps is measured in minutes instead of seconds. it's also a good idea to circle up at the beginning of each jump day to go over winds and emergency procedures. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

really? if your profile is correct- at 50 jumps you're on a HP canopy at 1.3 and when you need your reserve it'll be loaded at 1.4. and you're asking for thoughts about someone else with low time under canopy loading a Rage at 1.4. i think you're both pushing it. diamonds are a dawgs best friend
