  1. Darius, being the great human rights activist that you are, I wonder where are all your posts about Syria/Turkey/Egypt/Lebanon/Yemmen, etc. just today hundreds of Egyptians lie dead in violent clashes yet, you chose to post your hatred towards Israel yet again... Is your hatred blinding you that much? O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  2. What do you know, we agree on something. maybe there is still hope :-) "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  3. No, not all critics of Israel ar anti semite, but many are. Since being an anti semite is a no no these days, this became the new way to many. Not saying what you are or aren't. But I find it VERY weird to drag Israel into this mess too. How exactly is Israel to blame for the mess going on in Syria? Really don't see why Israel should be discussed in this thread at all. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  4. While its hard to reply to your structured logic and well phrased arguements, actually yes, it is very easy to proove that... "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  5. Promised by no one. Simply being the Jewish homeland for 3000+ years with continuous presence in the land. Both nations have a claim in the land but saying Israel is "stolen land" because "Palestinians were there first" is: A) factually wrong (history doesn't start in 1900 AD) B) proves the opposite point as Jews were there long before Islam was invented c) disregards the fact that there was a division plan which the Jews accepted and the Arabs didn't, attacked, and lost. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  6. It's kind of sad that every artist/academic/etc, that plans to visit Israel is under a borderline violent pressure to cancel. Even more sad that some cave. Even more sad that I hardly see any calls to boycott Syria/Lebanon/Egypt/Yemen/etc from all of those "human rights" activists (including the joke that is called the UN) BUT, if you really want to boycott Israel, might as well do it the right way.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcHwyW9xOyI O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  7. No, just good intelligence. If Iran/Syria is transferring advanced weapons to Hezbollah, Israel has every right to intercept it. On the question between Assad and the AQ backed rebels, for me it's a choice between bad and worse. both are pretty crappy "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  8. Then why did they fire rockets at Jerusalem too? I guess they hate Israelis more than they love Jerusalem... Or to quote Golda Meir: "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.” O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  9. Similar idea, only much shorter range. I was in Israel during the Gulf war, those Patriot missiles caused more damage than the Scud missiles they were supposed to intercept O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  10. Yeah, it's pretty amazing. It's radar can also predict where the rocket will fall and prioritize based on that (i.e. ignore rockets that will fall in unpopulated areas. Still wish we didn't need it... "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  11. All I know Darius, is that whenever there is something (anything) that involves Israel, you are the first one to shout about human rights and anything that is messed up with this world. Shall we count how many threads you've started on what's going on in Syria, where civilians are being butchered for months? Did you post as many threads about Libya awhile ago? Didn't think so... You keep accusing everybody else of hypocrisy. while you do the same, if not worse. And Turkey bombs it's Kurd minority and fights the PKK all the time and now they bomb Syria after one mortar shell (unlike the thousands that Israel gets all the time). So really, Turkey should check it's own act before pointing fingers at others. And btw, a couple of weeks ago, a few mortar shells flew from Syria to Israel too. Israel didn't retaliate... And yes, what happens in Syria is a disaster and I don't know what is worse. Having Assad in power (which sux), or having an ongoing civil war between the different tribes like what happened in Iraq or Lebanon. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  12. So, what would you say if a country strikes back after mortar shells fly over the border and kills civilians? Apparently the response varies whether it's Israel or Turkey that is being attacked... http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/10/03/us-syria-crisis-turkey-strikes-idUSBRE89219920121003 "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  13. Makes you wonder why none of the others are doing much about it... maybe they were traning our Special Forces "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  14. So, a Coptic Egyptian nobody makes a stupid movie. A random French newspaper publishes some cartoons and a Jewish store get blown up. Sure, that makes sense... I'm tempted to post the endless list of clips and cartoons published all over the Arab worls (which make both that stupid movie and the French cartoons look like child's play) oh , wait. looks like the NY Times did just that... http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/19/opinion/friedman-look-in-your-mirror.html?smid=fb-share&_rmoc.semityn.www O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  15. Or in this case, Coptic Egyptian Americans "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  16. The US aid to Egypt is 2B. Im sure you would expect more than burning US flags and breaking into the embassy. Regardless, i don't buy the "scheduling issues" excuse. It doesn't make sense and its a little insulting "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  17. Oh, and by the way... http://www.theatlanticwire.com/global/2012/09/sam-bacile-mysterious-filmmaker-who-set-muslim-world-fire/56777/ "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  18. At least we finally agree that Israel is the jewish people's homeland I don't know who this guy is and I don't give a damn what's his nationality. I haven't seen the movie, but insulting another religion is not a good idea. Having said that, nothing that may be shown in a stupid movie made by a nobody can justify breaking in to embassies and murdering people. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  19. This could have been amusing if it wasn't so sad... Finally, there is an answer to why the Syrian government has been killing thousands of its own citizens over the past few months. I wonder if there is anything these people won't try to blame Israel for... Osama Al-Mallouhi of the Syrian Opposition Suggests Jews Use Syrian Blood for Passover Matzos "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  20. What shouldn't have happened is them giving him 30+ hours of prime time coverage before going in. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  21. Why don't you start a poll and see if most people associate "female circucission" with "an elective procedure that heightens sexual pleasure" or with the one done to young girls in some places to prevent them from having any sexual pleasure. I believe you'll find that "we" is everybody but you... "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  22. You can find examples of every level, from the mildest to the most extreme. May be, but we were talking about the procedure preformed in some African and ME countries to young girls and the reason they do that is anything BUT to heighten sexual pleasure... "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  23. No, you are wrong. and in many cases they remove much more. There is also a huge difference in the goal and reasoning, being mostly to prevent sexual pleasure from women. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  24. No, they are not. One is a small piece of skin and the other is the whole organ. To make your analogy stick you'll have to compare removing the clitoris to removing the entire penis. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
  25. It still doesn't explain the initial tat... "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
