  1. I know some people that are genuinely afraid of AADs. These are people that can afford them, but don't want to jump them. One was a guy that had an FXC misfire on him at high altitude. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yes, I have seen one FXC 12000 mis-fire at 7,000', however, the vast majority of FXC "mis-fires" occurred below 2,500'. Now a few people complain about their Cypri "mis-firing" below 1500'. Hah! Hah! Hah! Personally, I have 2 rigs, one with a cypres and one without. How many legitamate cypres misfires have there been? I wouldn't consider jumping with an FXC or what ever the Russian equivelant is with the same bad history of misfires!
  2. Happy birthday you old fuck! May you have many, many more......now bite him Herc, I'm so sure he deserves it! Good seeing ya'll at the Dublin boogie
  3. It was good to see you again Cora at Spaceland! The beer light was on by 3:00 Sunday when the real storm came thru! The landing area after that one passed was almost a lake. Hope that knee is better today. Amy got hauled off to the hospital Sunday afternoon after crashing down on top of Tom Jenkins back during a hybrid dive. The video was painful to watch! See ya again soon.
  4. Hi Rob, I went from a Crossfire1 99 to a Xaos 21-85 to a 27-79. If you like twitchy go with the VX. If you want Crossfire like openings load up a Xaos 27. It begs to be loaded to dive. I load mine about 2.4+ depending on 4way weights and love it.
  5. Random4nication was our TSL name 2 years ago. At the Spaceland meets the manifest girl would only announce us Random
  6. Good news friends! I went for a follow up exam which was a cystoscopy and I was found clean! Thanks for all the prayers because I think that they helped! I also believe that Mom had something had something to do with it!
  7. Blue skies to your Dad Matt, May your family and friends find inner peace in knowing his suffering has ended and he is in a better place than we can know on this earth. Prayers, Conway
  8. To the original question, yes he's off the fucking wall relgious afilliation is off the wall! Scientology?, Hello!
  9. Derek. You were my first rigger in my jumping career. When U left, I adopted you're protege. Chris. Enough said.
  10. I took the responsibility away from the dz and pilot. It was my fault for not knowing. I changed email addresses since the last repack and been relying on Square 1's reserve notification service. It was a week out of date. No excuse, just a reason.
  11. I use a stamp for this very reason. If someone pencil packs (forges my signature) my reserve pack job, I will charge them for that re-pack and refuse to ever pack their reserve again. Derek Derek, I meant changing the date to get thru the weekend. I'm very perticular about who packs my reserve. Chris always does my repacks. I did this while out of town for a competition and went Sunday to have a repack.
  12. Excuse me, doesn't anyone have a pen?
  13. Bullshit. I bought your XAOS 85-27 with the worn out lines!
  14. I heard about it on the radio and thought it very strange for sure. I doubt that anyone disputes that it was a terrible accident, BUT was it caused by Mr. Honefinger driving irresponsibly, e.g., taking a sharp turn very fast at the stop of a steep dropoff? I don't know, but one of the articles said she was "thrown" from the golf cart. I'm not making any accusations here, but I think the police would not be doing their job if they did not investigate the accident very thoroughly. After all, not only was there a fatality, but the person fell or was thrown from a vehicle in which she was a passenger and apparently there was not any collision involved. If Mr. Honefinger was intoxicated AND his wife's fall was caused by erratic driving on his part, should he not be held accountable? What if it had been you instead of his wife? Would that be a different situation? I'm sure the man is absolutely devasted and will be living with unimaginable guilt and anguish for the rest of his life and maybe that is punishment enough, but maybe that should be for a jury to decide, given the facts of the case. Walt, You still jumping somewhere? There was no steep drop off. He merely turned a corner and she didn't hold on. He will live the rest of his life with the guilt of his wifes death. This isn't a criminal offense. It's the DA trying to put another notch in his belt and should be dismissed. This reminds me of a case where a driver fell asleep at the wheel on the way back to Houston after spending the weekend at the lake house. He was the only of 4 to survive the accident and was totally sober. The others were not. The families of the others that died sent a petition to the DA to drop the case against him and he did. He is living with the death of his wife and 2 other friends today. That is punishment enough. And as you questioned if it were me? If I wasn't able to stay in the cart it's my fault and wouldn't want him prosicuted for my stupidity! What good will it do to put him in jail? Will it pay a debt to society? What's the point? My Dad's cart has the same gearing at the same country club that I was a member of. You freakin hang on! I have been thrown from his on the course when he turned and I wasn't paying attention. The point is there was no mallice intended, it was an accident and shouldn't be left to a jury to decide. God is all the jury he needs. It serves no purpose for us to pay to send him to prison.
