On Friday Bill Oriley of the FOX TV show The Factor, was in Cuba at the detention center. He was allowed open access to report on his findings. He Stated he was there because of the numours reports of mistreatment. The report and the pictures will be on his show Monday night. Arch look reach pull is the old way. Now all contianers are BOC/throught out OR PUD/pull out deployment. Both are located on the Bottom of the contianer. Hence BOC. Looking for something you cannot see is pointless. Our school teaches Arch, Reach, PUll! When the student switches to Pull out from Spring loaded ripcords. He has never heard the word look for is main deployment secquence. However our school teaches two handed EP's which teaches the student to LOOK for E-handles. On another note I was trained on the S/L method and Arch look reach pull was the way I was trained. Well the rental program seems interesting for a new guy just starting out. I don't like the third droug release on the breakaway handle. IMO it's just asking for a mishap. Unlike the sigma/vector2 there is only one side to deploy reserve, and there is no "trap door" or so I have been told. I kinda depend on it both for letting me know the deployment secquence has started, and it looks cool on video/plan with the video flyer. There thats all. If someone went in with a reserve malfunction on one of those rigs I would bet someone could be charged with criminal negligence causing death. The rigger and the dropzone that the rigger worked for, even if they had no idea he was doing it. If it was proved that a pencil pack had occured (not sure how it would be) there would be people going to jail (and there should be). If he pencil packed my reserve with a fatal flaw in it without my knowledge I would pursue legal action against him.

I'm not sure what State you are a licensed attorney in, but unless you live in Mayberry, you are not going to be able to detain someone and confiscate their gear calling it "citizens arrest." You are likely to be liable for the civil offenses of conversion and false imprisionment. Of course, my knowledge only extends to the United States legal system, and I expessly cannot speak to the laws of other Countries.
