  1. I nearly got a Mac, then I decided to build a pc, twice as fast half the price
  2. Good Call, just built my own system for speed as we give the customer ther tandem jump on DVD 15 mins after we land and then get on the next load.6 mins to edit 10 mins of AVCHD footage with all the trimmings for a tandem video and then 3 mins to render and burn:) Specs. I7 3770 quad asrock B75 usb3-m motherboard 8 gb 1333 ram 120 gb ssd for OS and APPS 1TB external HDD to store raw footage Micro form tower 450w psu windows 7 Cyberlink powerdirector 11 ultra external dvd burner. And thats it, Powerdirector 11 uses intels quick sync which is hardware encoding on the CPU, 3rd gen ivybridge have it and it is quick. Check out Intels web site to see which editing software supports it and also that your motherboard chipset does to, B75 and Z77 sets do. My first PC build and it works a treat all for about £600.00 GBP.
  3. come and jump in the UK everything will cost you twice as much!! BPA membership - $300 per year Aff - $2500.00 10 consol jumps - $600.00 jump tickets - $40.00 each to 12000 ft reserve repack - $80.00 new rig - $7000.00 but hey you cant take it with you
  4. has any one tried re-stowing the good toggle to put the brakes back on and then fly and land on the rear risers without having to worry about holding down one toggle and flare both risers? just a thought.
  5. actually at my home dz in the uk the going rate of pay for video and stills is £50 thats just short of $90!
  6. I think the main was packed at the loft. Speaking to the jumper the mal was end cells on one side caught in the lines that would not inflate causing a spiral, just one of those things. I get my reserve packed at the same place and I saw the reserve deploy from the ground and it was fast and clean so if I need mine that will do nicley. All things said my rigger is awsome!
  7. A friend of mine had her first reserve ride in 700 jumps on a fresh repack ie. first jump after the repack, whats the chances of that?. Just for fun I wondered if anyone else has done the same thing
  8. 1st ride aff level 6 2nd ride jump 250 ish
  9. 2 in 370 jumps.First one was a total on aff level 6,2nd one was spinning line twists.
  10. 2 in 400 jumps aff level 6 total mal! reserve line twists!! be ready for it on your first and every jump. 2nd one was diving line twists. My first mal as a student made the 2nd cutaway a natural reflex to the situation, also I practice ep on every ride to the top.
  11. plenty of those here in the uk.had the pleasure of useing one last year.It opened sweet and flared well
