  1. (Baxter) woof, woof.......woof woof. (Ron Burgundy) You pooped in the refrigerator and eat an entire wheel of cheese………..really wow, I’m not even mad, that’s amazing! “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 2. "Any thoughts about what I can do to stop this activity?" If the hole thing continues you can fill the hole with water, make sure she sees you doing this. Then you stick here head in it. Dont drowned her but make sure she gets the point. It sounds harsh but I promises it works. Some dog trainers will tell you this is a bad idea unless you want them to be scared of water. I have done this with several different dogs and none of them ever ended up being scared of water. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 4. Ya but Im not talking about knowing where 12 grand is. Im talking about glancing at the altimiter and knowing where Im at just by the needle. You know, If some one says to you "You got a bandit on you six" you know he is right behind you, at your six o'clock. If some one says " check out the hottie at 3 o'clock then you know to look 90deg right. If you just move the 12 on the barigo up to the center then 1,000 is in the 2 o'clock position and so on. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 5. It's pretty trivial to make either the 12 or the 0 straight up. Take the altimeter out of the metal case/strap, and put it back in at the angle you want. Yes but the 12 and 0 are not in the same upright position no matter how you move it. they are separated. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 7. Ya except it is $300 dollars. You can get a protrack for about $200 and an analog alti for about $150. So for a little bit more you can have an audible and a visual, plus the log. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 8. I think the years of starring at the clock in school have trained my eyes for analog. I dont even think I would need numbers on it. On the other hand my buddy has a Barigo altimeter and the 12 and 0 are not straight up. I think this would be very counter productive for me. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 9. But really, don't worry about the money, it'll work itself out. Ya, it works itself out. You pretty much give up everything and eat top ramen for lunch and dinner. At least thats what I did, but it is worth it! Now if I can just sell my truck that will free up enough money for about 30 more jumps per month “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 16. I was watching Crosswind last night and I saw something that made me think of this thread. At the end of the movie there is a freeflyer (Olav I think), who ties his cheststrap in a knot after the buckle. It seems to me that is would take away any chance of it causing an incident. Even if it was misrouted I think the knot would stop it at the buckle. Dose anyone else do this? “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 22. Im with you on this one Hazarrd. When Im hiring people I like to know what type of person they are, not just what jobs they have done in the past. Also from the employee standpoint. If you are up front with them about it to begin with it will make it very hard for them to fire you for it down the road. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 23. Spearmint Rhino is by far the best dude. I have been to all of them. They are very liberal with their lap dances. Oh Ya the chicks are also very hot. Another good part is the atmosphere, clean, well decorated, and you can get very stiff drinks there. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 24. Ya I'm going to have a thorough discussion with my DZO about this. He has jumped where we are going to before. Im sure he will be supportive because we are just looking for something to do in the times we cant make it up to his place, you know weekdays and things like that. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. 25. I have thought about all the things you mentioned and they are valid concerns. I am very comfortable spotting. This is a huge landing area and there will only be two of us getting out of the plane so that will not be a problem. I am also confident in my ability to give a gear check and also my partners ability to do the same. We will have a person on the ground to call for help in case of a emergency and also be in contact with the plane in case of condition change on the ground. This is something that we will only be doing a couple of times a month and only in Ideal conditions. We are not looking for a substitute to our normal dropzone, just something to get us by when we cant get there. “Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
