  1. When he's not home, go into the garage and look at his chainsaw. If it is perfectly clean and has no wood chips on it, that might be a sign.
  2. It depends on what level you play the game. Hackers can go out and hack away. Serious golfers work hard at the game, and it's a hard game. So, I say yes. Golfers are atheletes. Hackers don't have to be. FORE
  3. Direct Hit, I was flying an F-16 and saw a bright flash and felt like I'd been hit on the head with a hammer. My wingman was very impressed. Airplane flew on with no problem. It was pilot error, I was in a place I shouldn't have been. Cheers, Mo
  4. Focused Leadership. They started with a simple plan, they implemented it, they haven't been distracted from it. The energy of the leadership is transmitted to the workforce and viola', an overnight success (25 years in the making) I work for a legacy airline and I marvel at their accomplishments. Bravo for them!! Mo
  5. Try Sand Point, by the Marina on US 1. From the DZ, take Williams St. to Garden, go East on Garden to the second light at US 1 go North about half a mile or so, turn into the marina and bear left past all the boats and right out onto that little spit of land there. Won't be as crowded as by the mall and the view is, pretty good. Enjoy, God Speed the STS crew. Mo

  7. This thread brought back some happy memories. In 19seventy something I was working on my commercial license, building hours on cross countries. I was stationed at Myrtle Beach SC and my family lived in Titusville, FL, so it was natural that I would fly down the coast to visit. On one trip I got nose to nose with a giant thunderstorm and needed a place to land. I ducked into Amelia Island. Taxiied in to a ramp and started tying the plane down. Before I knew it there was a truck next to the plane and some guy was helping me, the rain started coming down hard, I was very grateful for this guy. I'll have to find that old logbook, but I think the guy was Bill Smith. He took us out with a group of friends to a Pizza Hut where we had a fantastic time talking of planes and jumping. I spent the night at the airport, can't remember the exact floor that I slept on, but with the storm raging outside, I was so happy. The next morning it was quite foggy so I was delayed again. When the fog lifted, (inside and out) I headed down the coast again to Titusville. I remember that 185 Charlie Hotel sitting on the ramp and the talk of the skydiving. If memory serves correctly, it was nearly brand new at the time. Thanks for the post, it's going to force me to find that old logbook for exact dates and maybe a name. Blue Skies, Mo

    1000!!!!

Awesome, Heres to the next thousand, soft openings, nice landings and tons of fun with new and old friends. Mo
  9. MY dad worked in the space program, so I've been watching rockets all my life. When I saw the first one go up back in 81 I was overwhelmed. It is awesome!!Not like the saturn launcher at all. Gotta love those saturns, but STS has a certain sound and look that nothing else comes close to. I'd highly recommend seeing it. Take your rig and make some jumps at Skydive Space Center which is right there. Also go through the visitors center at the Space Center, very cool stuff. Those are some brave people to sit on top of that thing. Mo
  10. How about a suit that is loaded with sensors connected to a microprocessor that record every body position in flight. On the ground the readout recommends "a little more right leg pressure will speed up that block move." Or how about a four way team all connected in the same way where the computor recommends movements for the team. Sync it in time to the video guy and have the recommended movement highlighted in some way on the video. Something to the effect of this is what you did, this is what you should've done. Hook it up to the comm system that everyone will be wearing. Instead of having five voices on a 4 way jump (4 plus video) there will be six, four plus the video plus bitching betty. Whoever designs and builds this needs to have me on their team as a consultant and test jumper. World Peace Mo
  11. I wouldn't piss on mine if she were on fire. She's greedy and ungrateful, but at least she's smug.
  12. Fun reading, I'm not sure I ever do anything the same way twice, even if I meant to. One thing I try to do is say, "It's good to be flying again after every takeoff" I mean it, I love flying and feel quite content there. I don't say it when I'm jumping though, only from the front seat. Must think if there are other things. Any fork is fine. I don't like pineapples, but I don't hate them either. Fan on, fan off, don't care. cereal with milk, yogurt, dry, whatever. If a girl wants to suck on my nipple I just want equal time on hers. Money goes in the wallet any way at all. Sometimes it does go in with the largest on the outside and the smallest on the inside, but not always. Laundry, OH WAIT, here's one. Laundry is still folded in the drawer the same way they told us to do it in basic training. No demerits that way. Imagine if we were all the same?
  13. Frenchy, She's gotcha on this one. Let's all talk about boobies. That's manly.
  14. My all time ever best friend called and said he was in town for the day. We went to see a baseball game and are now preparing dinner. Drop him off at the airport tomorrow at 6 am and head for the DZ, should be a fun day of jumping. Cielos Azures, Mo
  15. Work witrh what ya got. No tunnel, oh well. Make jumps. another thing that I believe is a good learning tool is watching videos of yourself or others. Get a couple jumps on video. I love watching the super teams doing their 20+ jumps. (on video). It helps me visualize. Maybe someday I'll be turning five, then eight, then ten. In time. Have fun. Mo
  16. I blew a tire once on an overweight landing following an engine failure in a 747. I think the tire went flat when the fuse plugs overheated on landing rollout. Higher weight, higher landing speed, something about velocity squared in the brake energy equation. I'm not good with math. They told me to be a pilot you had to be really good in math and like girls. I just got a waiver on the math thing. Cheers, Mo
  17. Working on my 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, like skydiving, keeps me humble and striving to improve. So much to learn. Cheers, Mo
  18. Mbird, Congrats on your progress so far. As a fellow newbie I wonder if you live near a tunnel. I did a 15 minute session with an instructor and found that to be a tremendous help in slowing things down when I went out the door of the plane. If there isn't one nearby it might be an idea to consider going to the tunnel, make a mini vacation out of it. I can't compare my confidence level to others with similar experience, but I'll tell you, I feel pretty darn good for my limited experience. This is a very relative statement. I know how little I know, but I still feel good about getting out there and trying new things. My struggle right now is the exit, as part of a formation. I'd rather dive out after the group and dock. At some point I need to conquer this "hill" thing and start flying right out of the door. All things in time. Meanwhile, WHAT A RUSH!! Keep working at it. Looking forward to jumping with you somewhere. Cheers, Mo
  19. Look for me on the deck at the Perfect Spot, I'm the guy squinting up at the dots above. Today, however, I hope to be one of those dots doing a two or three way. Cielos Azures
  20. Don't know anything about your position, but don't choose a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Death is sort of irreversable. Once you select that all future choices are sort of off the table so to speak. Find a way to make small progress. Go to the dog pound and ask them to hold a kitten. Take that kitten and put it close to your face. Breath in deeply the smell and feel of that little kitten. Do it a couple of times. It won't change your position, but you'll have spent a couple of seconds doing something wonderful. Vaya con Dios
  21. Depending on how far it is, I would go. There is always something to learn. My dream is to jump in big ways, with 50 some jumps I'm a long way from getting invited. I would love to lurk one of those weekends at the major dropzones to see how it goes. Should I stay home and do a couple two or three ways or go feed my dream at a dz that will only let me watch? I'd go watch, hang out, ask questions, etc.

Heather, We've not met, I'm an old guy who graduated a long time ago. Maybe before you were born. I took time off. It worked for me. When I went back I was focused, motivated and ready. I wish you well in your decision. Life really is short. Don't let the bastards grind you down. Cheers. Mo
  23. Great question, In my life I've spent time with both. One of the all time hottest girls I loved was as flat as a board. After all, it's their mind that we love, the rest is just extra stuff. This girl turned me upside down and inside out. I loved every second of it. Another girl I've loved had the surgery and as much as I liked looking at those beauties she had a little problem. When they inserted the bags she lost sensitivity around her nipples. I love spending time in that area, it did nothing for her. Major bummer. I'd rather have tiny little sensitive boobies than giant things that don't have feeling in them. I am a visual being and if a girl is displaying prominent real estate, my eyes will enjoy. In the end, it's the mind that counts. Cielos Azures, Mo
  24. That should be against the law. Don't they have security at events like that? Fresh from the Jerry Springer Show
