  1. If you drive the shit that I sometimes do I will see 4 holes appear in the bonnet as the pistons make a bid for freedom.
  2. I have had it happen to me and Gwains advice is sound, just stand on the brakes and the car will stop. There is more 'stop' in the brakes than 'go' in the motor. Do not use the park brake, unless you want run the risk of swopping ends and going into the tree backwards instead of forwards Additional things that can help the situation is using the gears. Some people suggested changing down a gear...don't ..change up to your highest gear ....this way the torque of the motor is muzzled to a large degree and the brakes have a much better time of it....this applies to manual cars. Auto boxes will tend to change down as this is how they are designed so pop the car into neutral and close your ears to the sound of the engine bouncing against the rev limiter. Or just switch the damn thing off
  3. I am curious if Trijicon could manufacture a sight that compensates for thread drift and if so, thread drift of this magnitude.

    Jokes

A guy is busy going down on a girl he picked up in a bar that evening. 30 seconds into the action he sucks out a pea and a piece of carrot. Shocked he looks up at the girl and asks "What is the matter with you? Are you sick?" She answers "No, but the guy before you was"

  10. From what I can understand He flew out to sea to dump fuel before trying an emergency landing. Speaking to someone who was there he was on approach to the airfield about 10km out when the aircraft went into a sudden dive. The pilot apparently reported an ejection seat malfunction prior to impact. Ejection seats malfunction every now and then, those designed in the 1960's probably more so
  11. I got this in my inbox today. It gives some idea as to what went wrong. My condolences

  14. This whole thread reminds me of when this place was still 'Talkback'. Some poster kept on getting booted and then re-registering. After the third or fourth attempt Sangiro explained nicely the difference in the amount of effort required to register and the amount of effort required to 'disappear' the registered. It stopped
  15. You forgot the 'box of condoms' 'cause if you can't fix it using those three......fuckit
  16. Nah I am not a spelling nazi. It's the fact that Catholic priests take a vow of celibacy and you claim that you had one as a father that I find amusing.....not that it is an impossible or unheard of situation mind you.
  17. Why does nobody else find this funny or at least worthy of comment?

  19. Many years ago when I was having girl trouble a good friend of mine told me to snap out of it as there is nothing about a woman that cannot be substituted with a crate of beer. I first though he was mad but after some thought I realised that he was quite right in what he was saying. So go buy beer and drink about it.
  20. Siiigh As my Pommy friends would say. "I was taking the piss you git"
  21. Because you may not have yet realised that the translation of "Womans Man" in Swiss/German dialect into "Virgin Burner" in English might not convey the desired expression.
