  1. Forgive me i'm english! Fair enough - i just hope i get to 11 years and 3000 jumps without doing any serious damage!!! Good point - i guess i am just interested in how it does start. Steve sees himself as a skydiver who flies camera (and takes damn good pictures from what i have seen!). so i guess it doesn't matter! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  2. Steady on - i was just curious on peoples opinions - there is no judgement involved whatsoever. I learnt to skydive by AFF - does that make me any less of a jumper than someone who did it the hard way via rounds and static line etc? (Edited to add - such as yourself guessing from your profile) Maybe, maybe not. I am not even intending to put a stills on my head for quite some time yet (doing too much 4-way!) - my interest in this forum is in the photography aspect of it thats all and thats what i was asking about! If you have taken offence sorry, but don't take it out on me!!! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  3. Before slapping a stills camera on their head? A couple of posts recently made me wonder as well as the ability of some camera flyers i have seen. Do people rely too much on the electronics? I learnt with a full manual camera, black and white film (that i developed myself!) and a lightmeter and greycard, thats not to say i use them now, but i know pretty much what all the main functions are for and how to use them. What about you? were you a photographer first or did you pick it up as you went along? Just curious! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  4. Have you spoken to Jana at Perris? she is pretty helpful (i am there next month) PM me if you want an email address for her. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  13. Thats weird, sounds exactly like my evening last night!!!! (I was one of the virgins and before you say it, yes, beer is owed!!!) I have nothing to compare it to but it was amazing - comments from people who did know included "cleanest air ever" and it was amazing watching people do sitflying in there - apparently they can stick you to the ceiling if they crank it up. But the grin is still here this morning (as are the aching muscles) and i am about to route my salary straight to Paul to cut out the middleman... Sorry arizona, you get title of biggest tunnel for about a week! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  14. It would help a little if you put some more info in your profile - specifically where your home dropzone is. Someone might be able to give you some more specific info. There is at least one instructor on these forums from the uk and probably more..... Never try to eat more than you can lift

  24. Nice one k - i started writing almost exactly that and then gave up and didn't bother. Most of the surfers i know live life exactly the same as the skydivers i know, the only difference is that they spend all their spare time in the water doing aerobic exercise rather than in the sky. And it ain't just the girls - i was in a lot better shape when i was surfing. Its very hard to maintain that level of fitness. Never try to eat more than you can lift
