  1. i do that to but not everyone thinks of doing that
  2. some of us don't have manuals with used gear
  3. Question for Bill Booth or any rigger: I watched that video and you show the part when your on the ground you have the system hooked up to cutaway on the ground. It looked like the cutaway cable that was attached to the skyhook side was shorter. If you have a skyhook should the cutaway cable on the side that has the skyhook hooked up be shorter than the other side?
  4. well i am kinda new to this sport but i have never heard of a student starting thier progression on a 195...
  5. when you start to watch your weight as a 20 year old male just for skydiving reasons
  6. i fly out of a tiny airport and they have the most anal security so i need to have the right papers or i am gonna have to check it which i would rather not do.
  7. i don't know where to get that info though. CSPA webpage has nothing on it or i just can't find it.
  8. I know this has been talked about a lot but the only info i can get is about traveling with your rig in the USA or leaving the usa with it. I am looking for exact canadian policies on a rig as carry on since the TSA has no ruling up here. I did do a search and it didn't answer my question.
  9. man stfu and quit complaining. People who are like you always want more and to people like me who jump at a cessna DZ it gets really annoying to hear people complain about shit like this. You wouldn't last 10 minutes at a cessna DZ.
  10. If this goes through what would happen to people from outside of the US who have a smaller canopy than what is mandated by the chart and want to jump in the US?
  11. or get a full face helmet like a guy i know who did that, solved his problem
  12. of course shorter elastics are good but if you don't have them then double stowing works good to.
  13. if thier to lose wrap the elastic around them one more time but if you do this do it to all of them so you don't get uneven line dump.
  14. hey rob what is the best way to get in touch with you about getting a canopy relined? Do you know what kind of prices i am looking at for getting my cobalt 135 relined with vectran?
  15. crosswind flyboyz film festival Both these DVDs are pretty good
  16. when doing a reline on a cobalt can you use vectran or hma lines or do you have to use spectra since that is what the manufacturer uses to make the canopy?
  17. listen to dave he is very wise.(not being sarcastic or anything here)
  18. i know someone at my dropzone that was like that he has around 200 jumps weighs 10 pounds more than me and started jumping a 135 at 90 something jumps with no real coaching. People always talk about me cause i don't hide the fact i want to learn stuff and doing stuff. He is jumping 119 crossfires and 119 safires and hooking them in and he has only done a few jumps on them. I know i haven't been around long but i think it is the people who keep to themselves about thier canopy progression that are gonna kill themselves before the ones who are out there saying what they want to do and what they are doing. He scares the shit out of me and i have been known scare the shit out of others. Just be really carefull with the progression that you take and make sure the people around you not just one person are comfortable with your canopy downsizing. Davelepka(sp?) told me something really important your instructers and coaches can still give you bad advice so be really carefull. Just so i stay on topic my canopy progression was: student 292 25 jumps (not sure what it was, was something chris steven's made) Sabre 190 15 jumps sabre 170 130 jumps sabre 150 4 jumps stilleto 150 4 jumps cobalt 135 15 jumps Not downsizing from here for at least 300 jumps
  19. uncompress the file then post what is inside the winzip file
  20. maybe that Atair guy who posts on these boards can comment on this
  21. taras out of pitt meadows is a huge guy. Not sure how much he weighs but he has to be at least 250 pounds and 6'4". He flies a GTI also. www.tarasmovies.com. That is him.
  22. i don't see what the big deal is. he is just trying to do a nice thing and even if the rig is not stolen thier is no harm done here by posting that ad.
  23. i used to own a C-16 javelin and i am 6'2 175 pounds and the thing fit me perfectly. Really comes down to body shape and how long your torso and legs are.
  24. that is one of the things i am looking forward to in AZ is all the coaching that i want will be right there. Only problem is i won't have enough time to get all the coaching i want
  25. i am trying to find what i want to do in skydiving and i don't see what is truly wrong with that. I will admit i am bit arrogant but i am far from cocky in skydiving. I just want to find what i really want to do in skydiving and i really like canopy flight which i have more jumps into than anything else and i just tried camera for the first time last weekend and was wanting to know some info on it.
