it was really neat because at the closing ceremonies, they had a woman speak who was diagnosed, treated and SAVED with money from the avon events. so we got to put a face with the cause. then they gave a ONE MILLION DOLLAR check to the local treatment group where she had been treated. that money came directly from LA donations alone. they won't be able to give us the total money raised until the final walk (NYC 9/20-21) is completed, but i'm sure it will blow everyone away. we also heard from a woman in her sixties who has walked with the Avon Crusade since they started the walks 5 years ago, and has raised over $200,000 for the cause over that time. amazing! it's some crazy stuff to wrap your head around. again...a life-changing event.

hey party peeps! the LA avon walk for breast cancer was this past weekend and it was amazing. jake and i successfully walked all 40 miles together in honor of the over $4,000 in donations that our supporters sent with us to help this very important cause. my super cool dz.com supporters were: shark katiebear marcandalysse titaniumlegs brains rebecca kenknight michele luna thanks guys for helping me to be a part of something so special! this was a life-changing experience for both of us. we will continue to support this cause, and i hope you do to. stay educated, stay healthy, and keep fighting for a cure. breast cancer takes another life every 14 minutes…but we can change that. thanks for this jimbo...my dad just came into my office grumbling about johnny depp the communist...i was like huh? oh... so i sent him this and he enjoyed voting... sigh depp is such a talented actor, i really enjoy his work...but he is one of those that likes the whole shock value thing...and that can get irritating. i'm all for expressing your different opinions, but at least present it in a way i can take seriously and consider as intelligent input.

hey this is a fun idear! ummmm....i sang louder and jumped higher than all the "younger kids" at the 311 concert last night. i haven't been to a concert in like 3 years...and it was really wierd to be at this one with lots of 18 year olds looking at me like i was some old fart...at 25!!! had a blast though!

how about a little thread resurrection? any new input on the 2kcomposites helmets? especially from those people that have had theirs now for a while... (good info in this thread, but thought somebody might have some new tidbits...) anyone able to make some more decent camparisons between the FF2 and the FFX? have they upgraded the chin cups or are people still modifying them? it sounds like they've changed them, but i wasn't sure. thanks to any and all that have helpful info to share. i don't know many people with 2kcomposites, but i really like their anti-snag design and i'd like to hear more of their pros and cons...

(you know who he is yeah?) he usually has an idea of where i am floating around. you actually didn't miss me while you were there this weekend. i was only out on saturday. we'll catch up sometime soon! i promise! i won't be out next weekend (the avon walk) or the one after that (orlando), but i'll be out there every weekend after that for a while. and if all else fails, we'll for sure see each other at the chick boogie! right?

dave have you considered that speed dating stuff? i think there are a few different organizations that do it. and it is supposed to be a lot of fun, it gets a low pain in the ass rating, and offers easy in person time. (no commitment to exchange information unless both individuals mark on their sheet "interested" or whatever...) i've tried to convince my brother and other single friends to do it, but they are all hesitant...which is lame because i know they'd do well. of course, i guess i understand their hesitation. you seem like an outgoing, good looking guy and that is probably the best kind of person for speed dating. someone not afraid to be out there and make a good first impression. and crimany, you have one hell of an openning line..."i like to skydive, what do you like to do...?" so easy! if i were single, i think i would give it a go. just a thought... good luck with the hunt!
