  1. You've had several litters of them...I'm impressed. Yeah! Pretty neat trick huh?
  2. I'm pretty sure it's a Shi-Tzu. I've had several litters of them and that's exactly what our puppys looked like.
  3. ZoneAlarm is pretty good (and use to be free, don't know if it still is). I use Norton Internet Pro now, will cost you $$ but it has AV/Spyware/Spam/Firewall all in one package.

    TekSystems

    I talked to them for a bit in between contracts a couple of years ago. I passed on them because they took a larger that usual percentage of the bill rate and they don't offer any benefits. Nice people though.

    Corona

    That's exactly why. I used to drink a *lot* of beer while in Mexico.

    C++ help?

    Actually I haven't picked up a C++ book in years, usually if I can't remember something I can find it in the MSDN lib or Google groups. It's funny, I think the only time anyone in our group ever picks one up is to end an argument!

    C++ help?

    Actually what I was trying to say was that the variable being declared in the initializer list of the for loop and not inside the braces of the for loop is why I thought it would be in scope until the end of block surrounding the for loop. I didn't notice she didn't have braces.

    C++ help?

    Wow, more fun for the fam! I found an old copy of Stroustrup's book (third edition, 97) and it does say that if the var is declared in the initializer of the for loop it loses scope at the end of that for loop. Geez! I'm feelin' geeky tonight. It's a good thing I'm sure I threw away the second edition or I'd probably be digging around in the closet for it...
  10. That's f$ck!ng hilarious

    C++ help?

    Hmmm, didn't know that one... I guess I just assumed that because it wasn't enclosed in a set of braces that it was visible from that line of code all the way to the end of the enclosing set of braces.

    C++ help?

    i isn't out of scope until the end of the function that the for loop is in or the enclosing block {} of code to be more accurate. If you declared it within the braces of the for loop it would go out of scope at the closing brace of the for loop, but declaring the variable in the parenthesis of the for loop is pretty much the same thing as declaring it on the line preceding the for(...). I'm pretty sure most C++ compilers work this way...

    C++ help?

    I have to agree here... I've got 6.0 here at home and the latest and greatest at work. I do most of my C++ on a SUN machine and use VC++ mostly for odd jobs these days but I haven't really had any problems with any of the MS dev tools.

    C++ help?

    It works for me... I'm guesing probably not exactly like you're expecting it to from looking at the code, but it does read the lines in from the file. You are passing an open ifstream in aren't you? That's the only thing I had to do to make it read the text file.
  16. I don't think so! I've had bbq brisket for Christmas dinner (by accident actually) that turned out pretty good. I've also had a Cajun Christmas dinner (Christmas Gumbo is the best!!) Smoked Turkey, bbq trimmings and family, maybe a little different but sounds good to me! As long as it's family and good food for the holidays, you can't go wrong in my opinion.
  17. Surely there were more pics than this...... Well?
  18. Damn, that's one thing that would make me move up north! I might have to try that this year....
  19. Justin was awesome!!! He wasn't good about "measuring"... he'd just say "a lil bit of dis right heahr..and mmm a lil bita dat right...I gahronteee dat dis gonna be goooood" Hmmmmmm! I think I must have learned to cook subconsiously from him. I never measure either... Always turns out well though. Lots of people don't know who we was.. I use to have an album (yep those old round things you play with a needle) he did when he did stand up for a while. He was hilarious. I wish I still had that album... Not that I have a turntable to play it on.
  20. SkydiveNFlorida: If you do take the C++ class feel free to pm me with any questions you have. I've been writing software for about 15 years, mostly in C++ and Java. I'd be glad to help, If I can.
  21. I have a Sony CyberShot for a digital but I have a Canon Rebel-G (non-Digital) which I really like. The difference is that the CyberShot and a lot of low end digital cameras you can't attach any kind of telephoto/wide angel or specialty lense or filters. With the new digital Rebel-G you get all of the capabilities of a 35-mm camera plus the convienience of a digital camera. And the images you can take are awesome. Check out the Canon website for a demo. The next camera I'm gonna buy will be one of the Canon digitals, probably one of the Rebel-G models.
