    Hangover food

Second that one... Menudo workd VERY well. Especially if it's very hot (spicy). ...Reminds me, I haven't made that in a while.
  2. If the original is large enough I'd crop a little of the space around the subject out and put her/him out of center (rule of thirds - doesn't always apply but I think it'd really help this pic. I made a quick crop for demonstration but you should probably play around with a copy of the original and expiriment a bit. Really nice pose you caught though...
  3. I don't like fake boobs. I don't like fake anything really (nails, nail polish, makeup. etc...). I like everything on a woman just like nature intended! I'm a wierdo I guess...
  4. HOLY JESUS JUICE!!! I wish they'd tell us if they're gonna start adding fiber to the MRE's!
  5. What channels??? I listen to Sirius every day and haven't heard a single commercial. I mostly only listen to two channels though (33 and 34).
  6. Yep... What most people here consider 'Mexican Food' is really Tex-Mex. I have never had (nor seen for that matter) real Mexican food outside of Mexico. I do miss Taco Cabana though. Nothing like bean 'n cheese tacos on the way home at 4:00 in the morning or breakfast tacos on the way to school.
  7. I think we need to see the full size image... ...To prevent skydiving injuries resulting from reduced visual acuity from squinting at the small picture. For safety's sake!
  8. It's even nicer when you right click->open image for the bigger picture!
  9. I don't think so. You've got skills and are proud of your work (as you should be). There's nothing wrong with sharing your talent with the world!
  10. 9.5 Mb/s download (RoadRunner/Brighthouse). I prefer cable over DSL even though I used to work for BellSouth for a long time.... There has been some back and forth about cable vs. dsl but... I've been away from BS long enough now I can let the cat out of the bag about what's to come with dsl (unless it's common knowledge already - I haven't heard this from the outside yet) but.... BellSouth - now AT&T will be offering 25 Mb/s DSL in another year or so. I didn't hear what the cost would be. I like Brighthouse but if the cost is reasonable, I might have to switch back when it gets rolled out.

  12. Yep, southeast corner of the approach end of 36.
  13. I'd have to guess I was about 50 to 100 yards on the west side of the runway and he was 100 to 150 yards on the east side of the runway on a heading of about 360 (like I said earlier almost on a left downwind for 18 - albeit a very very narrow and high downwind for 18 but almost parallel to it). As far as how far north of the approach end of 36, I'm not exactly sure. I'd guess about a quarter of the way north or halfway to midfield of 36 from the beginning of the runway. As far as the cloud he came through, it was well on the south east side of the dz. The cloud really wasn't a factor in all of this, I only mentioned that I presumed that he was flying IFR because he was flying above the ceiling and on a straight flight path through at least the one cloud I mentioned above. Edited to change perpendicular to parallel.
  14. I landed in the target area. I was north west of the target area, on the other side the runway (18/36) flying towards the dz (I'm guessing about 140 to 150). We were landing West to East that day, so I was maneuvering to fly a left hand pattern to land towards the deck.
  15. I have an '02 5 spd. 4wd. I've only had one problem with it and that was an issue with the power windows. It was covered under a recall so the dealership took care of it. It's not great on gas mileage, but not too bad either considering. I have a longer commute these days in traffic and still a great car to me. I really wanted a Pathfinder when I bought it but, my last car I drove the wheels off and it died (timing belt broke and I just had it replaced a couple of years earlier) so I couldn't wait a few months to have the one I wanted special ordered. No regrets. I like.
  16. Don't understand what your questioning. It wasn't 'IFR flight conditions' at the time or we wouldn't have been jumping (except for maybe hop-n-pops if the ceiling was high enough). It was perfectly fine for flying VFR that day. I only mentioned that he must have been flying IFR because he was flying through clouds. Hmmm I thought I was being very direct. Let me be more direct, I highly doubt you were as far away from the cloud as the cloud clearances dictate. People flying the proper distance from clouds aren't often pulling high to avoid clouds, or overtaken by aircraft flying IFR through them. Personally I don't give a shit about jumping through into or around clouds, but I think you played an equal part in this. >>I highly doubt you were as far away from the cloud as the cloud clearances dictate. Wow, what amazing powers of intuition you have. Unless the FAR's have changed, in the airspace over Zephyrhills the minimum VFR cloud clearance is 2000 ft. horizontal and 1000 ft. above. I was > 1000 above the cloud when I started creeping over it and decided to pull (and no - there was nobody above or behind me). The only alternative would have been a hard track towards the jumpers that left before me. The cloud cover was in between broken and scattered. There were lots of clouds but lots of holes as well. And I was > 2000 ft. away from the clouds horizontally. I said he came within 150-200 yards from me, I didn't say that's where I was the exact moment he came out of the cloud. I may still be a 'green' pilot and skydiver but I do pay a lot of attention to what's going on around me.
  17. It had to be either 08/11/2007 or 08/12/2007 because those were the only dates that I did solos on and I remember it was a solo jump. I didn't make note of it in my log book (which I should have) but the one solo I did on 08/12 I did make a note that I pulled at 7K for cloud avoidance. Best guess for time was somewhere about 2:00-3:00 p.m. I wouldn't swear to it but I'm pretty sure that was the jump.
  18. I worked for BellSouth as a consultant (not independent or even 1099 for that matter) for many years. They've always provided laptops for even consultants. Especially when proprietary/confidential data or code was involved (which it almost 100% of the time). I would expect pretty much any client to provide that hardware unless, as you mentioned above, you were an independent contractor working a specialized position where you weren't using their applications or needing to keep a lot of their stuff on your laptop. In fact, I'd consider it somewhat of a security concern to have anything of value/risk distributed on non-company owned hardware. Not implying that people have malicious intentions, but some people may not be so quick to completely delete proprietary property upon rolling of a contract and moving on.
  19. Nope. Don't believe we've met. I've only been out to Z-Hills a handfull of times since August. Haven't met a whole lot of people out there yet.

  21. Well if it was him... And I still wouldn't be too sure since he said it was over 6 months ago, but... He does have a flare for exaggeration because it definitely wasn't as close as it sounds like he described. But in this case, IMO, he was flying way too fast for such a low altitude through the clouds in such a close proximity to an airport that's so very well publicized for having jump operations ongoing so soon after the "jumpers out" call was issued to a/c in the vicinity. I'm assuming that those warnings are given to a/c flying around Z-Hills because everytime I've flown anywhere near airports that have jump operations going on, I've always gotten good info as to what's going on (beware of jump operations, jumpers out, etc...). I'm assuming that's standard practice for atc. Some people might think it was more of a close call than I considered it to be and some may think less but we came within about 150-200 yards. I didn't think it was that big of a deal at the time because the second I saw him, even though he was moving along pretty quick, I knew there wasn't a chance of him hitting me based on his flight path (unless he turned straight into me). I didn't even get the 'Holy Shit' feeling until later when I realized that I could have very well been much, much closer to him than I was. I wasn't flying right at him but about a 30 degree angle towards him maneuvering over the spot I picked to do some spirals before setting up to start my downwind. If I were closer to that spot and I was directly in his path, at his speed when he came through the cloud, he probably wouldn't have had a chance to turn in time. It was this afterthought that makes me think he shouldn't have been there flying like that (so low/close/fast through clouds where he was). But then again, in that case, I probably would have been a little closer than 'legal' to the cloud than I should have been. ...but anyway - if that was him.
  22. I don't remember exactly which weekend it was but it definitely wasn't before August. I didn't start jumping at Z-Hills until then. I do remember it was a small twin - white with either read and/or blue trim. He was much higher than pattern altitude (about 4.5-5K I'm guessing) and moving along at a pretty good clip and was, I'm presuming, flying IFR since he was flying through clouds (which, being a pilot, seemed very odd to me since he was flying almost directly over what would be the downwind leg for 18 - but I have a low number of flight hours so maybe this isn't that unusual).
  23. I had a kinda close call with a small ga aircraft at Z-Hills but that was only a couple of months ago and wasn't really that close. I'm sure he saw me but he didn't have to change course to miss me. I did have to make a couple of turns to avoid his wake turbulence though.
  24. She's beautiful! Congrats!!!
