Those are not beginner exits IMO...
-
I'll still keep an AAD in my rig. As for the cycling thing, I also don't wear a helmet when just riding my normal bike in the city. When riding my race bike or mountainbiking (and I'm not even doing the super heavy down hill stuff) I will wear one.
-
I have my audible set at 3.5k ft. Usually that is my pull alti, unless I want to get some more seperation from other flyers, in which case I can still fly 10+ seconds and be fully open by 2k ft.
-
How do you let the base fly in this setup? On belly or on the back? We usually have the following exit order setup (base normally on his back) (see attachement).
-
I have been on quite a few wingsuit jumps, but on each of them the base is usually outside in the front floater position. I have never even heared of other exit order 'techniques'. How would you position the base in for example a 16 way?
-
I wear an open face with earplugs and the N3 on my wrist. Can hear the canopy alarms fine. For freefall alarms I have a L&B dytter.

So how would the device then work? Say you cut away at 3000ft and not do anything. Then by the time you get to the activiation altitude, your speed should be higher then the activation speed. But say you only cut away at just above 1000ft. Changes are that you won't have the activation speed. Should the AAD then fire at activation altitude, regardless of speed? If so, won't that in case of a cutaway always result in a AAD fire? Or am I missing something? :)

phantom 3 Leg-wing won't inflate when back flying

Does your suit have backfly inlets? Can you post video or stills? -
He/She is flying up relative to you/rest of the group. From the video there is absolutely no way to judge if he is going up relative to the ground.
-
Here it depends on who makes the decision not to jump. If it is the jumpmaster who says no, or the DZO from the ground, or other factors (sometimes air traffic control puts us on hold) your ticket is refunded. If it is your decision, your ticket has been lost. I recently rode the plane down, fully knowing I would loose the ticket, but would rather do that than fly my wingsuit through rain and 5000ft of clouds..

At our dropzone it usually is RW FF AFF Tandem Tracking/Angle flying WS/Trackingsuits I think that getting the best exit order already starts at the manifest. It is much easier to organise the exit order if there is one tracking/angle flying group, instead of 4 groups and 3 wingsuit groups. I like Eloy's system where you have to tell manifest if you perform tracking or wingsuit, and they try to avoid the 'too many tracking/ws groups on the load' situation. When there is just one tracking group at our dropzone they usually exit last, and fly up the line of flight in a straight line. While this does take them further from the DZ, they can use the tail wind to get back to the dropzone (and open a tad higher if needed).

On jump 206. Couldn't fly back to the DZ under canopy, so decided to land in a field close to the dz. Overshot the field and landed on a road next to the field, just before a big corn field. Wanted to make a turn to land into the wind (which had dropped completely by the way) instead of landing down wind with probably half a mile of clear terrain to land in. Watch out for variable wind conditions...

That is one sweet wingsuit :)

Nice video! I'm jealous and hope I can join you in a couple of years :)

When I had around 60 jumps I bought a Spectre 170. My wingload was 1.2 then. Never had any problems landing. My wingload is lower now (lost 8 kg in the last months)

Hey Jarno, What are the last two songs (title/composer)? Thanks! Thijs

...seeing your shadow projected on a cloud, 5000ft above the ground, flying next to the cloud... ...was a truly amazing experience...

Hmm, Jarno, your prices don't seem to be accurate. For members 1 jumpticket is €17.5 For 11 jumps it is €175 For 100 jumps it is €1490 if I'm not mistaken. Nonmember is indeed €20/jump -

I did two jumps on the suit (nr 97 and 98) some time ago. Flying the suit isn't really that difficult. I got about 75 seconds from 13K (pulling at 4K). (Now I do about 70-73 seconds from 13K to 3.5K in just a ff suit). Hower, I did get more distance with the Impact suit than on a normal tracking jump in freefly clothes. More important than knowing how to fly is being able to know where you are flying, where you are flying at, where jumprun is, where the dz is... If there are some wingsuiters at your dz, talk to them about flying patterns. If possible, jump with some experience trackers at your dz. They might help to improve your track. It is pretty pointless in buying a tracking suit if you can"t track properly without the suit. You can pull boxman-style with the impact. Wingsuit style pull isn't really necessary.
