They aren't stricly Techno, more Trance acctually. Techno is still a bit of underground music, the things you here on radio are acctually Trance music. It is sometimes difficult to here the difference between the subgenres of electronic music. Just watch out. Some technolovers tend to freak out when you say you listen to the techno music from oakenfold or tiesto. I prefer to name it electronic music. Here are some names I like (most techno but also other genres) Dave Clarke Marco Bailey Adam Beyer DJ Redhead Joris Voorn Marco Remus Umek James Ruskin Pet Duo Carl Cox Alexander Kowalski T-Quest Psychogene Cajmere aka green velvet Jack De marseille and I could go on for quiet a while. Some of them are good producers, other are very good DJ's, some are both, Umek for example I mostly listen to DJ sets instead of just tracks. It is just great to hear what some good DJ's can do while playing 3 tracks at a time, scratching etc Thijs

Ok then, how many times have you actually THOUGHT you were about to die?
Thijs replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Happend when I was ten years old. At an airshow an airplane crashed about 200 feet away from me. Just ran my ass of to get out of there. About ten people died there. I was very lucky there. The crashed airplane came to a stop right between full fueled aircrafts, a bunch of F16's and some tankingvehicles with fuel. And one time a guy tried to kill me. He tried to drown me. Unfortunatly, he failed. -

I'm experiencing that right now. I used to hang out a lot with a group, but events over the last year have changed a lot. Some people have done things to me and to others that I just can't forgive, not now or in the close future at least. It's so bad that I do not longer trust the people who have really good intentions and can be trusted. Something inside me says that it will happen all again, and I really don't want to go again trough al that misery. I can't be myself anymore with them. I've changed a lot over the year because of these events, maybe not from the outside but certainly from the inside. Maybe it's time to move on. I think that forgiving someone is really necessary. If someone has done something minor to me (and haven't yet forgive), I get a really weird and strange feeling, bit difficult to say in words, where I know that something isn't right. I tend to keep more distance from that person at that time. Just talking about it and eventually forgiving helps a lot. I can forgive up to a certain level, somethings I just can't. This is something that is really difficult for me. I can rarely forgive myself. I'm pretty hard for myself. Thijs

Oh, nothing keeps you from getting drunk at home . I stayed at home and I wish I went out . Anyway: drink enough water and certainly no coffee. The headache is just because the brain hasn't got enough water

I think the Dutch people will find this a real horrific accident

I don't know what kind of music you have but maybe try to find a DJ. Ask him/here if he/she is interested of if he/she knows someone else who is interested. If you don't know how to find a DJ, just asking in a bar where someone sometimes DJ's can help. Don't throw them away, the can be worth a lot, especially very rare covers (if you still have them) can have a high price. Thijs

I stayed at home with my parents. There is not really much to do around here. Watched some television, some comedy so it wasn't that boring after all. Fireworks from the neighbourhood were cool. Everywhere on the sky you could see fireworks.

Rene has posted a "full version" of the accident. Here is the link: http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1897 I'm still not sure if I'm going to watch this one. The other one made me feel not so good . Just glad you didn't die out there. Thijs

Hello, I have been around this forum for a while, but never posted anything until now. I'm no skydiver yet. I want to take up a static-line FJC next summer. I want to prepare myself as good as possible before even going to the DZ (is about 60 km from my home so that is a long bike ride
