    4-Way VRW

check out the videos page of my website: www.jimmyhalliday.com If you freefly it'll be worth the wait. I'm not in the jump...didn't do the video...but I think it's alright.
  2. What Up? I just put a pretty sick 4way freefly video up on the "videos" page of my website: www.jimmyhalliday.com It'll take a few moments to load, but I swear it's worth it. If you can do better... late, jimmy
  3. If you plan on doing 100 jumps while your in th US then Lodi is definitely going to be your best bet. Here's the math. Block of 50 tickets at lodi=$650. We have PLENTY of quality freeflyers and if you time your trip with Ed, I think he'll help you get the most for your money in one of those flying suirrel costumes. Oh yeah, planes...Super Otter and a Beech 99, which, by the way ,is the most bad-ass aircraft currently flying skydivers to altutude. Who knows, maybe you're rich and in that case Perris might be the place for you.
  4. Hey, sounds like you've got plenty of time to check out NorCal. If you like to climb tall things...And yes I did say CLIMB. Our DZ's prices might make it worth the time and energy to jump there as well. P.M. me so we know what's possible and what's not, so you can make the most of your time. late, jimmy
  5. I replaced the flying goldfish with a new video clip on the videos page. This one had almost made it into RADIX, but didn't quite make the cut. Now that I watch it again, I kind of wish i had. Anyway, check that page every once in a while cuz I'll update it with B shots that didn't make the vid and new shots that we acquire. And thanks to everyone who helped me spell check my web site. I guess I'll never get that dream job i had always hoped for: panel judge at spelling B's.
  6. 20 years? 20 years? I'll be ready in 20 minutes. just gotta switch my slider.
  7. Hey, So, I've been working on this for a couple of days. Not much of computer guy. So go easy on the computerish criticism. However, I welcome criticism on the photos!!!! www.jimmyhalliday.com -jimmy
  8. Hey, so I've been working on this for a couple days now, and since I'm not what you'd call computer savvy...well anyway, it's not done. maybe faber could help make this "clicky" www.jimmyhalliday.com

    RADIX VIDEO DONE

    You're right...that new avatar's pretty funny.
  10. What's up? It's not really finished, but I think there's enough there to look at now. Been working on my web site for a couple of days. Well, I've been working on the potography for a little longer than that but, you know...it's late. What do you think? -jimmy
  11. Every one know this, I'm sure, but I forgot. -thanks

O.k. people, the first run of RADIX just became a collectors item. When i dupe more they will be corrected. My apologies to the Finnish guy. However, I'd like to see some evidence. -jimmy

    Atmonauti & BASE

Again. The point is not whether a "traditional" track is more or less efficient than an atmonouti. Both forms will get get you far enough away from a big wall for a safe deployment. It's that the atmonouti is highly conducive to RW while maintaining consitent horizontal movement away from said cliff. That's the reason I think we should explore it's potential as BASE jumpers. If you watch Atle tracking off six in my video, difficult because I added some wierd solarization effect that generally takes away from the impressivness of the jump itself, you will notice that he tracks for 23 seconds from 3,000 ft. and dumps right over the grass landing area. A truly impressive feat. BUT...I would call his body position a split between a skydiving max track and an atmonouti. At lodi, we call the style a "crab track." When I saw Atle do it, I thought "Wow, with a little practice with atmonouti we could potentially fly a line for two thirds of the jump, break off, track away from each other, and all dump over the lighthouse." again, who's in? Cuz I'm goin back this summer.

    That too. Of course.

    Atmonauti & BASE

This is the way I see it. Atmonouti (I never speel it or say it right) basically takes tracking jumps to a whole new level. Not in the sense of tracking contests in which one person tracks further than everybody, another guy tracks furhter than almost everrybody, and someone else comes in third. Atmonouti jumps presuppose the intention to do do relative work. So peole can track together in amazing linked formations while moving horizontally accross the sky. I'm sure a good tracker in a max track would blow by the "atmonouti" jumpers, but he/she would be alone. It's exactly this direction where I see base jumping going. It's the natural progression. Aerials are done(personal opinion). Solos are boring. And who can track the furthest is a question for sunset jumps. Atmonouti jumps from terminal walls will provide an environment for relative work while moving a safe distance from the wall. The question is...who's in?

    Atmonauti & BASE

DUDE!!!!!! That is exactly what I'm talking about. At this point there are probably 10 people world wide with the overlapping skydiving/Base skills for that. And just for the recod, Miles Daisher is one of them. -j

    Good Luck!

What are you guys talking about? Am I out out of some sort of loop?
  18. Dude, go to Norway and take their course. It's a great deal and they give great instruction. When you go to a dropzone, you usually learn from the staff there, right. It's their landing area, their turf, they know the ins and outs. the Norwegians have a great club with extremely knowlegable staff.
  19. Stick with fixed focal lenghts. Stay away from zooms i.e. 18-35. Too much glass and you can only use one focal lenght at a time. You'll find yourself opting for three eventually anyway. Most likely 15, 20, and 24. So get the 20. The only way to get a good shot with a 15 is if the subject can smell your breath. 20 is far more versitile. You'll get a 15 later.

    RADIX VIDEO DONE

I'm gonna answer the above "DVD or VHS" question cuz this has been coming up a lot. As I'm advertising a "video," people wonder whether that means DVD or VHS. Oh, it's a DVD. I didn't spend 50 hours on the DVD authoring program just to copy it to a tape. But it's not a movie. All of the footage was gathered on mini-dv or DVcam cameras. If I sell a lot of RADICES (plural form of RADIX) then I'm gonna buy: 1. Some cool 22 inch rims for my van. The kind that keep spinning after you stop. 2. A super 16mm movie camera (super 16mm transfers beautifully to HDV). That way some day I might be able to advertise a "movie" instead of a "video." However, it'll still probably come on a DVD. By the way, thanks to everyone who has bought a vid from me and the positive responses are great. -jimmy
  21. If any of the B-team plan on going to this little shin-dig, will you bring along a copy of RADIX to show? That'd be great, thanks.

    RADIX VIDEO DONE

Actually Huckstable, I'm not counting Cliffy's B. exit either cuz his pilot chute comes so close to Brodericks face that it actually leaves the screen. So that only leaves six flat and stables. I'll try to correct that in the future. j
