Not sure how the numbers work but I made 5 jumps this afternoon, the 4th one being my first freefall. Greenie in training.

Tomorrow I am going to my local DZ to work my way towars that A license that I want ever so badly. I am doing static line progression and my next several jumps will be practice ripcord pulls. I was just wondering what other people experiences had been while doing them, things to do and not to do. Also I was wondering if it is a practice ripcord is it attached to the container or what? If not will I have to hold onto it the whole way down? Thanks for any comments, answers, or suggestions. Greenie in training.

I got bored at work last night and downloaded pilotwings and a snes emulator just so I could do the skydiving missions. Was just wondering if any of you had ever played it. Greenie in training.

Yes I did beleive me hindsight is 20/20. I would much rather have one perfectly good gixxer 1k than no bikes at all but the lure of having a bike I would not be affraid to tear up stunting and one bike that I didn't mind putting money and sweat into to make nice got the better of me, so now I just have to live without. Then I start having the money again and skydiving comes along, starting to look like I will never get another bike Greenie in training.

You don't just get lucky and pull off manuvers like that. You could tell he obviously knew what he was doing. Wonder what his profession was before he started stealing cars. Greenie in training.

That is the exact same thing that happened to me I gave up my 02' GSX-R 1000 in hopes of getting 2 older bikes one for stunting and the other for riding. Then other bills piled up and I have yet to get the chance to buy even 1 of the two bikes Greenie in training.

I would not totally walk away from it. Most whuffos make the assumption that skydiving is extremely dangerous. Put some time into looking up statistics regarding skydiving, and show them to your parents. That was what I did when I wanted my first sportbike and believe me the statistics didn't really help my case there, and in my opinion riding a motorcycle is much more of a risk than skydiving. The fact that I put that much effort into it showed them that I was really committed and wanted it though so they decided to help out. It never hurts to try but don't push the issue to much if they say no after that just wait til you are 18 no need to sour them on it by trying to force their hand. Greenie in training.

Mine was last weekend and I will be back out at the DZ this weekend for sure I am totally hooked. Here is what I wrote about it. Well guys, I did it. I went out this mourning and did my first jump course. I was the first one out on the first load and hanging from the strut of the plane looking at my jumpmaster I think I had the biggest smile on my face I have had in my entire life. My canopy deployed flawlesly and I had a beautiful ride down. I was a litte affraid to play with my toggles alot but had some fun once I started getting guided by radio. I flared imediately when I was told to and I guess it was about a second to early as I ended up landing on my heals and falling to my back at wich point I let go of my toggles (yes both of them) and my canopy started to inflate but I reached around and grabbed my left riser and started reeling in lines as fast as I could. I liked it so much I had to go again before I left the second time was twice as much fun, I wasn't so worried about doing everything right because I had allready proven to myself that I could do it. I got some line twists and sorted them out then had a great canopy ride down even played around up there for a little while. On that jump my landing was great, don't even think I took a step forward pulled one toggle to full break and let go of the other one and the chute just folded in on itself like it was supposed to. Hate to ramble but I have just been going over it all day in my head. Moral of the story is I am hooked. Greenie in training.

Draggin Jeans Review Looks like they may be a little better than they were when they first came out. I never bought any because they got really bad reviews when I was looking at them, people basicly said they will come apart just as fast as denim and really provide no more protection for the added price. Let me know how they work out for you I am curious to see how far they have come. Greenie in training.
