Ok, so I'm not a big fan of soup in the first place... I've been doing some temp work for Coca-Cola this week, stocking shelves, etc. I found this soup mix while searching for something to eat on my lunch break.... Honestly.... who would eat this??? and I'm more than a bit sad!!!! We all have one, that home DZ, where we go even on crappy weather weekends to just hang out, and drink from the beer fridge till it's empty. The place where you either did most or all of your training, and wanted to be the place for all of your "firsts." Where your friends there are your family for a year or two, since your real family lives thousands of miles away. Where you see people that you saw just last weekend and greet them with a hug anyway. So my friends, on this friday night... Raise a glass for me for my old home DZ! Blue Skies Skydiving Adventures in Bremerton, WA.... you will surely be missed!!!! When you learn that your home DZ, the one where you did all of your training, first 100+ jumps, etc is closing down and it brings tears to your eyes. Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!"

The lowest Hop and Pop I have done is 2.5k. People said it looked like I did a "clear and pull" like a student.... threw that hacky that quick. 4k is comfortable for me..... I like to have a second or two to fall fast a bit first! Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!"

Well, as I found out as a 105 jump wonder, turbulence can cause an F-111 canopy to collapse at a very low altitude. Mine did that to me a few years back, scared the shit outa me.... it re-inflated and slammed me down hard, I was lucky! They knew I was ok after I started swearing very loudly!!! If you look at this picture, you can see my canopy is partially collapsed in it... that is from the jump I am talking about. I was stupid.... don't jump in gusty winds.... I know better now. I'm downloading an alpha version of WUBI for Ubuntu 7.10 Lets hope it works. Upgrading my WUBI 7.04 to 7.10 didn't work, so I'm doing it this way............ Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!"

yeah, wubi is the way to go without having to worry about new partitions, etc..... This update is taking forever to install. I figured it would do it while I was in bed..... nope, hung up on a pop up question for about 5 hours. Your kitty is in a better place. You did the right thing staying with him till the end. We had to put my cat Bob down early this year, she also had cancer. I held her as the shot went in and as she died, and as sick as she was, when I was holding her, she was purring. I miss my Bob every day. Blue Skies to your kitty. WUBI installer works great. If you are interested in trying linux, I would say it is the way to go. Currently, it only installs version 7.04 (fiesty fawn), but with some tweaking, you can get the update to 7.10 (gusty gibbon.) I'm trying to update to version 7.10 now on my laptop...... so far so good. stay tuned..... Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!"

Well, I'm once again unemployed! But this time, I left before they could escort me out.... When you boss wants to tell you over the phone that your replacement starts tomorrow.... and then that replacement expects you to train him..... it's time to go! But this time, I left with at least some dignity instead of being escorted out in shame. So, who wants to hire a former broadcaster that knows a lot about computers????
