  1. O, for sure. Just the way i skydive is for sure related to life. Since i freefly, i guess i tend to act a little wacky, just like in life. Have a lot of fun, yet be serious. Hope thats what you lookin for. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  2. I just bought the Pro Swooping Tour and PD factory team DVD, i would say that the PST vid is pretty sweet. Its got some sick swoops in it. Go get it --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  3. Yeah, well spectres dont count because they open beautiful no matter what. I used to have one. But, i think hes wanting something more towards the faster eliptical side. Not saying that you cant make a spectre go fast, but hes probably more interested in the stiletto range. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  4. I dont know, ive flat packed the big ones before. But, at our dropzone just to be safe I always roll the nose really tight. You can do the same thing when you flat pack it. I just recomend rolling that nose tight. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  5. It said he was spinning upon deployment and the lines wrapped around him, so maybe it pinned his arms somehow and he couldnt deploy the reserve. Just a thought... --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  6. My step-dad took me on my first tandem. It sure was cool watchin mom fly up to me in freefall for the first time. I'll never forget it. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Thats good that your making sure that your staying away from other groups, but i still think that you should learn to fly on your belly and be good at it before you decide to start freeflying. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  8. Well, to me it sounds like you shouldn't be doing 270's on a canopy that you only have 70 jumps on. And you say that you think you know your limits, but you told us about how your always having to stab it out and you said that you have had too many close calls. Sounds like you should back up to only doing 90's. When you think that your stabbing it out from being too low all the time, then you should seriously consider taking a step back. Im also thinking that you dont know your canopy quite as much as you might think. You also keep talking about how one day your goings to "bounce" from starting your front riser too low. I think you could really reduce that risk by taking things a lot slower. You said you either do a 90 or 270 depending on things. What happened to 180's? I would perfect 90's, perfect 180's, THEN, doin 270's. Well, hope you do things slower now and stop having those close calls you talked about. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  9. Well, what i think it comes down to is that there will be people who love them and those that hate them, i happen to be one that loves kurupee. I got mine not too long ago and it fit perfect and there were no loose threads or anything coming apart on it. Now i may just be lucky but im pretty happy with the suit and the customer service. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  10. Ohh man, dont say that word "winter". It sucks. Well we leave for florida on the 20th for a week, get used to the nice warm weather and tailgate exits, then right back to good ol' 182s and low temperatures. Whos gonna be in DeLand thanksgiving week? I wanna get a lot of jumps in. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  11. Just get one. haha I'd say that the pros outnumber the cons by a lot though. I would hate to jump without my cypress. Ive never been on a jump without it on. They are definitely worth getting. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  12. I started on my Sabre2 135 loaded at around 1.1:1. I think i had around 120 jumps or so. I just started pulling down on both fron risers until i got that down, then went to 90's, which i am still dialing in. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  13. I agree, 270's with 44 jumps is crazy. As chachi said, you kind of passing up the 45's 90's and 180's. Everyone has to start somewhere, you done see someone teaching their 3 year old how to do a triple back-flip of the diving board do you, no they have to learn how to swim first. Take your time man, dont get hurt. An ambulance call is always bad publicity for a dropzone. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  14. Glad to hear that everything turned out ok and u didnt end up messin yourself up. Ive heard that vengences really hold a dive. I know someone who did about the same thing as you, This person went into DEEP brakes though to save himself. Thanks for posting this, hopefully a lot of people will learn from it. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  15. Ohhhh...i see. Yeah i can see where that would be annoying and confusing. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  16. Uhh...i think thats his sig line "Police can riot all they please" because i couldnt figure out why police would riot. Just a thought. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  17. hahaha! yeah i guess i am pretty lucky. Most people my age are sayin, mom can i borrow the car, i say "Mom can i borrow the 120" Now lets see, next is hitting my stepdad up for his vengence, lol. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  18. Hey, thank you all for your opinions and information. It has helped. I jumped my mom's Sabre2 120 twice today and i LOVED it!!! I know its not fully eliptical and i cant really compare it to a stiletto or cobalt but just thought i would share that with you all. I actually did really good on it, had a lot of fun! Makes me want to buy a 120 right now, but im not goin to. I talked to someone today with 1000+ jumps who is a huge fan of the stiletto and he thinks that i should wait until spring, then get one. Im going to put some jumps on the sabre2 120 to get prepared for it. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  19. Hey, thanks alot for that link and the additional info. Yeah my profile is accurate and i do plan on researching longer before i buy. I weigh about 140 with gear, i was thinkin about going with a 120. I understand that its fully eliptical and i can get hurt on it (as with any other canopy). When i go to get it, i will be ready for it, i can almost fly my canopy as it is now fast, slow, crab with wind, front risers, rears, etc... Im not in a hurry, Please dont think im being cocky and in to big of a hurry. I understand that this may be progressing fast, but i intend to get a coach and not do hook turns on it for a while. Ive talked with someone with 1000+ jumps and 3000+ jumps who are going to watch me close. I thought about posting here weather or not to buy one next year, but decided not to due to the fact that none of you could judge that because you dont know how good or bad i am under canopy. Trust me, if im not ready for it, i dont think mom's gonna let me jump it. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  20. Could you please explain for me the two staged opening. What does it do? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  21. Thats fine that you disagree, but you didnt really give me any more info on these two canopies. Well, tell me about your experiences on them. I know that you dont think the stilettos are better now, but tell me why. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  22. So what is the difference between the stiletto and the cobalt. (Not the comp. cobalt). They are both eliptical but how do they fly compared to each other. Which holds a better dive. How do they react to front riser input in comparrison. Just looking for some general info on these canopies compared to each other. Any input is appreciated. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  23. My first sit was kinda like that. Then i jumped about 2 more times and just flew on my back sort of, then on the next jump, something kinda clicked i guess but ive been able to do it every since. Now i couldnt just fall straight down right away, but now i can sit and stand no problem and go forward and backwards no problem. Next is headdown for me. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  24. Hey, i did a paper pretty much just like that last year. If you going to make a speech its kind of hard to do because you gotta keep it really simple. When i gave a speech about the progression of canopies i realized that i started talking about eliptical and cross braced canopies. I got a bunch of weird looks from people that had no idea what i was talking about. But yeah, just some general research through a search engine should bring up some good links. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  25. Hey, did u take time and read the whole sentence before you decided to go off. I said odds are he will get hurt if he "freaks out" meaning jabs a toggle or does something like that to get hurt. Is it possible that you just blocked that out? Im not one that likes to tell people "o yeah your gonna die" If you followed this thread you would see that i stuck up for him most of the time trying to give advice. No, i dont only know of those who do get hurt either. I dont think that you understand that i have been around skydiving far before i actually started. I live with people with 3000+ jumps. Ive been at dropzones at young ages. I see a lot of stuff go on and listen a lot. So now i have to ask you...When you say "Fact is, you dont know" Where do you get your facts? You dont know me so how can you possibly tell me that i dont know. I have seen people come and go with fast canopies that they shouldnt be on and do just fine. I also see people come burn in and break themselves. You cant label me as someone who knows nothing about the sport just because i have 215 jumps. I have sources. I was trying to help him out anyways, how are you turning this around to make it sound like im telling him that hes gonna kill himself? All i meant is that he is puting himself at a greater risk, and i think most would agree with me on that. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
