That's an easy one. "Low man has ROW" I have a REAL problem with an 87 yr old man flying the plane doing "Touch and goes" during sky diving operation hrs. My thought is this DZ also has an airstrip in it that's being used by local aviators as well. When I jumped old SDH in Waller, Texas I saw a lot of crap there that kept you on your toes all of the time. Lots of people are not acclimated to jumping in an atmosphere like that. (SIMOPS) IMO they shouldn't be jumping there unless they're reminded constantly about the "Other Operation" going on. If not, we'll see this again. Glad everyone but the plane was good to go. I guess I should drop in more often. I'm just learning of Ron's demise. He and I had some great times! A short anecdote- Years ago at SDH Hugh flew his Casa to SDH, and we were having the time of our lives...as usual. At around noon ol' Tom olsen suggested we do some raft dives. We all chipped in and he went to town and bought 2 rafts, the really cheap ones. He gets them back to the DZ and we manifest for our raft dive. We dirt dived and got everybody on the same page b/c there was about 4 of them that have never been on a raft dive. In any event, we get to altitude and the raft started inflating to the point where I actually thought it was going to explode. I started letting the air out of it, and Hugh had to do a turn around for a good spot. He does all of that and we got everything into position for the raft dive. "Zero-G" comes soon enough. We launch the raft with the chickies in it and as soon as we were in air space the dang thing exploded, dumped the girls and as all of that was going on it was every man for him/her self. The rope that made up the handle around the JUNK caught Kevin's hackey and deployed his canopy and he had to ride that thing down. While the raft deployed his canopy, I was still hanging onto the rope, I looked up in just enough time to see his canopy inflating. In any event we were all in free fall, and next thing I know Ron swoops down to me and docks on me, he scared the heck out of me. We hung on and had a pretty good sky dive. That's one of my most favorite memories I have of Ron. I miss him. RIP Ron. Best- Richard

Yeah, really. Too bad Adam was granted the "No Knock" warrant. A very bad decision considering the circumstances. I believe someone has been watching too many cop shows. Adam's biggest mistake came when he didn't wait for everyone to arrive on scene prior to engaging the suspect himself. I knew and liked Office Sowders, he never seemed that mistake prone to me. But what do you do? Just too bad this mistake costs us a fine civil servant and friend. Best- Richard

Well, Adam Sowders got his butt shot off and killed because he requested a "No Knock" warrant. Adam had no skills in this area, neither did the rest of the officers that went with him. Sowders went to the door and knocked on it himself, No one answered the door, but shots rang out, as Sowders lie dead out side. I'm no Judge, but he kinda asked for that one, too bad it ended his life. RIP Officer Adam Sowders. Burn in hell McGee, you got away with taking an officer's life. I hope that makes you feel good. Truth is, your fixing to have a lot of new friends, you can be their new "WOMAN!" What a coward, and too bad Adam made a really bad call. In fact, given the circumstances they could have arrested him while he was in town and unarmed. I don't get it. Protocol must be way different in Burleson County than in Lee County. We don't go for BS like this and everybody knows it. We never would have sent a scab crew out at night with a "No Knock" warrant knowing the clown inside was armed and dangerous. I would check the vitals on the mother, if they're good, cool. I then turn my full attention to the infant. Reason being, The older woman had already lived a long & happy life, and of course the grand children haven't lived many moons at all. Best- Richard
