  1. even if your state does have mandatory inspection, its still a year between each inspection (or 18 months if you're like me ) that's plenty of time for taillights to go out. "If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it?" --Steven Wright
  2. What a sad story! I'm sorry you had to go to the ER. I hope your bf was there to take care of you. I'll stop by and visit later to make sure you are still okay. Love you!!! get to feeling better soon.
  3. This can be done; I've heard of people getting the container open that way. The problem is time, the reason you learn to only try three times (hard pull) or to count to three is so you can stay aware of altitude during a high speed malfunction.
  4. lesson learned: next time you want to get blown up, wear your rig.

that's hilarious. I didnt know smiley faces had ass cracks.
  6. dont worry!! the rain will be back for the weekend. in case you missed it. This time of year, i always feel sad for the trees that start to bloom... cause you know its gonna freeze again before summer's here. Soon it will be wonderful weather all the time!!
  7. Amen!! what a stupid holiday. For me, its the day that i hide at home because the entire town is eating out.
  8. You look like you need to clean your room!
  9. I must have given up on that movie too soon, because i decided it was gonna be a bad one when she started to fall for the dorky mustached man. I find that most of their movies vaguely resemble another movie that was good enough to make it into the theathers. I do enjoy Mad About You, though, so i'll have to give lifetime that. As for you men that can't understand the channel... lets compare it to my lack of understanding the constant watching of motorcycle, car fixing and gun shows by some men (whose name will not be mentioned here )
  10. Thanks! And thanks to those who gave dave the boots, it really made him feel special
  11. I have chrome demoras with purple lenses and i love them! they work perfect for freefall. only thing is the ear pieces are a little long so i have to bend them in the back around my head so they'll stay in place.
  12. You might try doing a tandem, if it is available to you. That can help you be more comfortable in the air (since you wont have to worry about stability) so it will be easier to relax on future skydives. I started with three tandems and it made a huge impact on my fears while in the air (still had the door fear of course )
  13. Hey, i saw a little blue this morning!! but then it when away.. so much for "mostly sunny", weather.com! Maybe they'll be wrong about this weekend, too (in a good way)
  14. thanks. I have little to no experience with turning peices, so that explains why i had a hard time understanding that. I'm looking forward to doing more blocks and finding out what you mean! Morgan
  15. Why would you travel for just one boobie? seems it would look kinda funny all alone.
  16. Why is that? i dont have alot of experience, but my thought is that in order to "get on" a grip, all you have to do is touch it. (this is an honest question, not trying to be a smart ass). I've never really understood the point of those huge grippers. of course i would never get them since they're about the same size as my arm, haha, but obviously that wouldnt be an issue for some people
  17. is there someone else around who has a 150 you could try to fit in your container? i've seen a 150 fit in container made for a 190 safely.. i was very suprised. have your rigger around to look at it and make sure the closing loop isnt loose.
  18. I know I (and the rest of my team) had a great time and learned a ton. We attempted and completed our first block during competition, that was very entertaining Thanks to the gt guys who helped us with our exits!
  19. It shouldn't matter what size gripers you have, they aren't there for people to "hang on" to, they should be flying their slot... jump with someone else if they need a big gripper to stay where they're supposed to be "If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it?" --Steven Wright
  20. I had this problem for awhile on my brand new sabre2 135, but as the slickness wore off the problem seemed to die down... when it was brand new i had troubles getting it into the d-bag and have since decided that was a large part of the problem. I have about 45 jumps on it now and can pretty much control the openings with my rears.
  21. I've definately been on a few jumps that those would have really helped... for example, brain farts during 4-way training... I once sat and watched two of my teammates actually "argue" in the air about which side of us they were supposed to be on. It was highly entertaining, especially since the person who was wrong apparently won the argument.
  22. here's what came up when i searchd for my name: kinda random
  23. Congrats on your license!! and welcome to dropzone.com morgan
  24. That's why you put your boxsprings/mattress on the floor... beds are so overrated
  25. That was a great proposal!!! I think I would have appreciated it even if i wasn't a skydiver cause it was really cool.
