  1. http://www.usdoj.gov/criminal/ceos/report.htm Should teach him this is not a fair way to play.
  2. Actually, I didn't think it was very funny either. Just one of those "who'd a thunk a bunny can kill you" I have mowed a few rabbits, birds and a cat before, it's really quite gross. I'll sure be more carefull washing the mower now.
  3. Yep. It's accountants that believe what they want without checking the sources that brought us Enron, Worldcom, and a few other wonderful "stories". I can't say he's a bad accountant but anyone that is prone to publish without checking the facts seems to lose a lot of credibility.
  4. ...that you felt that you had to set yourself on fire to protest? I really, really don't understand this.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/2999652.stm
  5. "I can't wait until you get married and have kids so you'll stop skydiving." HMMM>>>> http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=8733; Doesn't work that way. This one has been at the DZ since he was 2 weeks old. Mommy jumps, daddy jumps and even pa-pa jumped. Last weekend he said to me as I was gearing up "Curran fly daddy's airplane?" He'll have to wait a while since he's not quite 2 yet.
  6. Hey. You could also make a mistake. We all can. Don't try to fool yourself or anyone else, jumping out of airplanes is an inherently risky thing to do. There are a lot of things we do to control these risks but the fact is you can get hurt or killed in this sport. Jump for yourself, let the people that care about you know that you understand and accept the risks, and will do everything you can to not get hurt. It's your life, enjoy it!
  7. YEA! If someone drove a tank onto the DZ to stop us from jumping I'd be pissed. That's MY holy land. Still don't think I'd throw rocks at 'em though, probably just take up BASE!
  8. OR a late deployment/cutaway in the group behind you.
  9. We just had a 76 year old dude go through the AFP at our DZ. Did his first solo on the 13th. Very cool. Now we just have to teach him about Beer laws. (He did buy a case but it was "Oly"
  10. And very likely a DE .357 Looks like I might get to make this one!! You have been warned.
  11. OK, talk about a hijack. Just for the record. I did not call from a castle. It was not raining. Meatloaf did not show up at the DZ for the party.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. THis could have been MUCH worse. If you can't help, get away - I hope the video guy realized how close this was to a double fatal. E
  13. After 196571 miles of abuse, my Miata transmission decided to make a bunch of really horrible crunching noises just as I poped the clutch at 5.5K rpm into second. Damn it. Otherwise it was a great day. AAA got the car home and I drove the truck to the DZ. Just wanted to share.
  14. I can help you out. What do you need to know? PM w/ ?s and I'll do my best. ETR
  15. Hell yah! Looks easier than the "how the aggie almost died" LZ. Damn there's not even any power lines midfield.
  16. Get it man. How bad have you wanted to jump into an Aggies game at 1/2 time? How cool would that be...
  17. Yea, it'd be pretty cool for those folks too. Me, I got my metal from a game of chicken with an 18 wheeler. I'll tell ya that one someday over a beer. I wonder if plastic bones would just bend and not break? Give new meaning to 'he bounced'
  18. Sooner or later you might need this... http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2003-06/oonr-tp061203.php
  19. As a kid we used to cut them open and pour them out all over our clothes for halloween. Yep it stains. I sure hope it wasn't too toxic
  20. Agreed. Hey, it sells cars too...
  21. Not too bad for an ignorant southern gal... (Now git back to yer trailer fer some daddy lovin') Seriously, my first CRW jump scared the SH*T out of me and I loved it. It was just like the first time all over again.
  22. I was thinking more along the lines of.. All women are bisexual
  23. Good news for me! http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2003-06/nu-ssd061203.php
