  1. People DO buy and/or drive VERY dangerous vehicles without proper skills. Streets are unsafe. Sky seem pretty safe to me, inspite these ridiculous attempts to harness natural curiosity. All that this comunity enjoys/suffers came out of it. What goes around, comes later.
  2. The exact reason why people are downsizing! What goes around, comes later.
  3. If you want to know it all Clinical Practice Guideline for SPONTANEOUS PNEUMOTHORAX I beleive in your passion to guide you out Good luck! What goes around, comes later.
  4. No, my first jump ever, happened 3 yrs after 2nd spontaneous pneumothorax (which hasn't been treated at all) Since 2003, if it would have happened - I'd probably glue the damn thing back in position and jump as soon as I feel good enough. Say.. if I can play 1.5 hours of dynamic tennis - that's good enough for me. And more canopy packing attention - softer openings, of coarse. No "tennis" skills? - no jumping. Yes? that kind of fitness? - jumping next day. You can walk around for a year, eating oranges - doesn't say if you're fit or not Sounds to me similar to what I've though (Acid makes pleura more stickier) Check it out (and some tennis please) What goes around, comes later.
  5. You really need to send it to me, I could use some Viso testing and you could use another opignion
  6. Make sure the tube you're connected to SUCKS air out instead of blowing it in, exactly what happened to me. At the time I was 37, able and willing to pay for the best solution to it. They convinced me it should be drained. I am 6'6" but twenty others weren't tall at all or old as I was. And another thing, they lied to me saying there's no alternative to drainage. I found out they received 3 dosages of some glue but it was to be used only on patients who frequently come back with a same pneumothorax issue. I watched a procedure, through a drain hole, they blew some acid powder onto pleura, than return vacuum hose, that's it. Acid makes pleura more stickier. I guess it is expensive too. Doctor explained to me that I should be happy he didn't use it on me because a glued pleura isn't effective, doesn't collapse anymore but neither works what is supposed to. Elefant droping I said and made him extract the damn drain out of me because they made it worse then before. It healed after 5 days, 3 bottles of strong drink and 400 cigarettes. Was cautious for a month, avoiding heavier lifting ans so, then forgot about it. However, a year after it happened again, no hospitals or doctors then. Being slow for 4-5 days it went away. When doc heard about it, he made me promise to come next time and show it to him during the event, not after. Wants to learn mtf. Three years later, I've started jumping - no more lung issues What goes around, comes later.
  7. oops, he CAN, with some weights on (I missed it before) I was hoping to learn something von new What goes around, comes later.
  8. THIS is tattoo to make, in stone or brain. Maybe like this "It never is the canopy, it is the pilot, allways". hmm, isn't there some wonderfull science and somebody skilled in, to shed some light on why is it so, that I will never know how is it actually to fly Katana 97 at 1per1 loading? Or why the guy 97@1 will NEVER know how is it for me to fly Navigator 240, same wl? It has to do with scaling models, I'm sure there's some smart people out there to share their wisdom What goes around, comes later.

    pd pulse

Some of the same model\size canopies DO feel different (I guess\am sure) How about that Equinox and Pulse are slight trim_line difference? (Pulse - lower pack volume for sure) What goes around, comes later.
  10. Unless you can install some cutaway shaver, it's safer flying bald, like rdufokker (some lubricant perhaps) my 2000$ anyway What goes around, comes later.
  11. One day, a plastic Katana will be superior to a metal one. No doubt about it. but today is April 29th 2009 What goes around, comes later.
  12. sheding some light on it: it was saphire2 [email protected] vs crossfire2 [email protected] What goes around, comes later.

  14. --. --- --- --. .-.. . /\/\o /\/\/\ /\/\/\ /\/\o o/\oo o easier to read? What goes around, comes later.
  15. Wellcome to the club! Seem to fit in. However, I disagree. It's not a waste of time, it's only more time-consuming, result is still there. What goes around, comes later.
  16. No, I actually meant 0.3048 (inside brackets is altenative use of 3 with zeros in/out - easier to me) So 10,000ft*0.3=3000m (3048) and 4500m/0.3=15,000ft (14,763.77) Never mind, you got it and you made me smile
  17. that's a compliment, however, protozoa is unable to understand your academic reply. What goes around, comes later.
  18. If you need to jump but not having appropriate altimeter (btw why it's not altifeeter?), it is usefull to mind-switch quickly. This is fairly accurate and I'm ok with it: Feet multiple by 0.3 (5000ft*3=15000, take zero off=1500 meters) Meters divide by 0.3 (3000m/3=1000, add zero=10000 feet) I really don't care which Alti I use. If you don't own one - neither should you care. Unless this is too complicated What goes around, comes later.
  19. With no stiring desire, I have to ask if that's a round and rough statistics. Those lives saved, did they all pull at 3000+? And the unsaved, when did they pull? What goes around, comes later.
  20. Too late I hope What goes around, comes later.
  21. It is necessary. You never know for sure your landing areNa: Bullanding What goes around, comes later.
  22. So did I, when wanted to make a phone call while under canopy - it's fascinating how ordinary task become so demanding. on the subject: 20 yrs ago, stupid as I was, I found interesting to load a 6-shooter with a bullet, spin it and watch in the mirror in order to decide whether it's safe to shoot of not. After some time, I felt assured that I am good at it. No more fear or tension... (complacency?) and once, I spin it, pointed to a mirror, decided it is safe, pulled the trigger and for some brain-fart reason I heard "cliCk" instead of normal "click", which made me continue clicking until strange feeling in my ear. Yes, I hit the wall with a .38. I hope some of you will find a parallel with OP subject. Too relaxed? Not anymore, thank you. What goes around, comes later.
  23. When I get you in the mood I pour some John Daniels, make a coffee and read word by word, slowly and again, remembering the times of Richard Corben __________________ and it's only morning What goes around, comes later.
  24. Bill Booth said there's 8000 Skyhooked rigs now, 205 votes here says it's 15% voted for Skyhook. Is there any reliable stats result? Or a pointer at least? What goes around, comes later.
  25. How about if they are afraid of some swooper ending up the horse's ass? ...or they're just looking for a promo_family_tandem ticket? ____________________ think about the horses What goes around, comes later.
