  1. Love the sig line Keith, thought it was funny as hell when turle said it too.
  2. I'm sorry but But floss never seemed attractive to me, either wear panties or don't. Never thought a thong was all that sexy. There are so much more sexier undergarments out there. Dove's old avatar comes to mind . . .
  3. Tried that. I cannot get four people together who are interested in doing 4-way. Many of the new guys have started Freefly, and of those that do RW, they are getting on the always available big ways. And if you can find four new folks who want to do RW, few of them want to do it bad enough to organize a schedule to get together. IF you found that, I congradulate you. It is not easy to find. If you continue to read the rest of my post you would see this very explanation.
  4. Yes and definitely do as you were advised. Do a search there is a thread around here somewhere that covers this topic. Definitely look it up and read it.
  5. No I agree but man it just sucks. I hope you nail her in the civil suit.
  6. Man in middle school I was in a breakin' crew. We had so much damn fun. We were sucked so damn bad though. I miss parachute pants. Breakin' Breakin' 2 those were cool movies
  7. ***Hrmmm. check my math 1.56 deaths / 100,000,000 miles = 0.0000000156 deaths per mile I drive 34,000 miles per year so. 34,000 m/y * 0.0000000156 d/m = 0.0005304 deaths per year of driving 25 deaths / 2,000,000 jumps = 0.0000125 deaths per jump I jump 100 times per year so 100 j/y * 0.0000125 d/j = 0.00125 deaths per year of jumping Looking at my rate of exposure, I'm 2 times more likely to die while skydiving than driving. If I jumped more it would raise the exposure & risk obviously *** This is all fine and dandy but it fails to take into account a few things. 1.) How many of the deaths in automobiles are caused by equipment failure vs. in Skydiving? 2.) How many deaths in automobiles involve drugs or alcohol vs. in Skydiving? 3.) How many automobile deaths involve the death of a person who did not cause the accident vs. in Skydiving? 4.) How many deaths in an automobile were caused because the person was thinking they could push the extremes vs. in Skydiving? 5.) How many deaths in autombiles occur because of natural disasters vs. in Skydiving? The list is endless but these are important concepts that actuarians(sp?) take into account when they determine risk for insurance companies. We can oversimplify things all we want and we can make the numbers say whatever we want but there are so many variables that come into play that I have never seen considered in this topic each time it comes up that no answer is truly accurate or complete. So to say you are only 2 times as likely to die skydiving vs driving may not be acurate. It could be more, it could be less.
  8. Can someone explain to me how square/semi-elliptical/elliptical shape effects canopy characteristics?
  9. I just got off the phone with my insurance agent. Finalized the policy. Answered all the questions. I asked him about active duty and combat. My policy covers me if I go back into the Marines and end up in combat and die. If you are currently active duty, you can get a policy that WILL cover you. It used to be that insurance companies had combat exclusions. That is not very common anymore. If you would like to talk to my agent send me a PM and I will give you his number. You can ask him for yourselves all the questions I asked. As I reported before. Ohio prevents comapnies from excluding anything other that those I mentioned in previous posts. Those are no brainers though. If you travel through Ohio, and buy a policy, you will be covered for skydiving, police work, military combat, everything. If you cover yourself in blood and lamb's fat and go climbing in a heavily populated mountain lion region and get eaten, your family will get paid. And as far as skydiving goes, the company I am going with (West Coast Life - been around since 1906) actually PREFERS skydivers who jump more regularly. IN other words, the more you jump each year, the lower your skydiving premium! They figure that if you jump to few times a year you are in a greater risk for banging in. Imagine that, they think it is important to do more than just stay current. Just what I needed another reason to jump. Now all of this is only if they accept your policy. They can decline to insure you for any reason. But, after filling out the application, he saw nothing that flagged it for unacceptance. And just because one company won't cover it does not mean another won't. Where you buy the policy and the quality of the agent are key to finding the exact coverage you want. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can find anything else out.
  10. Okay, so you weren't drinking. Either way your spelling was funny as hell.
  11. That was how I read it too. Would you give up your right to free speech to avoid jail too? Philly Kev- Dude glad it is coming to a close without you doing jail time but there has got to be soemthing you can do to get the system to work for you. If not remind me never to go to PA again. So much for innocent till PROVEN guilty.
  12. Is it me or is alanab drunk? And I thought we were going to a boogie not a bogie. Personally I find bogies rather discusting. All green and slimey, blech.
  13. Catch me if you can! What do you think Eric? 100 lbs on the weight belt next time? WrongWay - I think you may be able to do just that.
  14. I will contact my agent and ask about that specifically and see what the new policy says. But FYI, I asked "What specifically will this policy not cover?" His reply, "Suicide or known terminal illness within the first two years and your death while you are COMITTING a felony." MY next question, "So I am covered for any death, under any circumstances, other than those stated and after two years, my death is covered unless I am committing a felony at time of death." His reply, "You die, they get paid, no matter what, unless you are committing a felony." Pretty much a quote. But I am going to call him and ask what if I am in combat as a willing participant of the United States Armed Forces? See what he says.
  15. Well, the DVD came in. I watched it. It was pretty damn fun to watch. Goes fast though. It's over and your feeling like there should be more for the price tag. OVerall though there are some pretty wicked shots. The Bird-man through the Mountains shots (not the 6 foot over the ground shot that we have all seen) is awesome. It's a fun vid but I was a little disappointed.
  16. Not the answer I was looking for! I have a ten year old son and an eleven year old daughter and that sucks.
  17. Silly sunny one haven't you heard I never owe beer . . .
  18. I'm curious to see what your idea of sex was when you were ten? I think mine was something like poking the belly with your finger or something. That's cuz my dad called it poking.
  19. So, basically what you are saying is that all the COOL kids are going to be there? HOLY SHIT! I have NEVER been called one of the cool kids in my life! Or did you just not notice my name?
  20. Dude, somehow I think with your plans, 20 mill would go very quickly. I think your DZ would be open for a very short time
