ouch don't say premature deployment. My ribs and neck still hurt . . .
  3. Guess the consensus is pretty close to unanimous. No grips on helmet if you want to keep possession of your head.
  4. Lou, see my post. certain states prevent Life Insurance from excluding anything in a term life policy. Ohio is just one, I do not know what others are like that.
  5. dE=Q-W=m(u2-u1) and pv=ZRT. Basic conservation of enrgy and real gas law. Then use your Compresability charts and get yourself a Thermo book and you could figure it out. Since I had a Thermo midterm today, I don't even want to think about it.
  6. Relax and enjoy the moment . . . best suggestion I can give.
  7. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT! That is why I did not order the Voodoo and stuck with the Mirage.
  8. Dude I was just wondering about this today. Glad to hear the news. You got a PM.
  9. Now THAT I will agree with you on! When mine get on my nerves (They play so damn loud sometimes) I just tie them, gag them and hit them with a little ether. Guarantees at least three hours of quiet time.
  10. I gotta say that I agree with you. When I hear "Free Thinker" I kinda cringe. What is a free thinker? And who isn't? I like to wear leather and I enjoy to ride a motorcycle. I have tattoos and have had body peircings but removed them because they bored me. I have spouted off about how the moral majority and right wingers want to control our thoughts and lives and make us do what they think is right. Turn us into another pathetic sheep following the herd. I bucked the system, walked outside the established norms, and thumbed my nose at anything I felt like thumbing my nose at. Did those things make me a free thinker? Now I am a Christian. By Choice. I enjoy Sunday morning worship and Bible study. I am much more conservative. Still like leather, still love my Harley, and now I enjoy wearing a suit. I still love tattoos, and will likely get more. I want to contribute something I believe to be of value to this world, provide for my family and have the house and two cars and yard and live in Suburbia or even a little outside it. My attitudes toward some things have changed and others have remained the same. Do these things make me not a free thinker? In both cases the answer is no. I do what I feel and believe to be the right thing, not because someone tells me it is right, but because I believe it to be right. I do it by choice, not to be accepted but to be happy. To enjoy a fullness of life the way I want to live it. To experience living in a way that brings me peace and joy. This is what makes one a free thinker. Sometimes I think people miss that.
  11. Hey Kennedy, I have been getting those too for about two months now. And only on my University email. I have scanned for viruses a thousand times but there are none. As a mtter of fact I just recently wirped my drive and installed XP for the first time and the first email I got was one of those so I know it is not my system. It is annoying as hell though.
  12. Yeah but you owe Guiness for your first time meeting me. . .
  13. Plaything is famous for her hot tattas and smile
  14. Okay looks like I need to bring some guiness then. And since I am sure I owe beer for something I will bring some.

  19. CLICKY I finally figured it out! edited to add : My first real clicky
  20. Oh man that REALLY scares me! What if you get unstable while someone is holding your HEAD GRIP? Think of the pain that would cause! I would think I only want the best in the world holding a grip conected to my head. Seems like a dumbass idea to me.
  21. Very true and sometimes free thinkers look exactly like everyone else. Free thinking is about thinking not appearance.
  22. All of this discussion got me thinking about this even harder. So I checked my policy and yes it is an I die they get paid thing. But the more I thought about it the more I wanted to look around at other rates and other policies. So after some research and talking with a few agents, I found a policy that covers me for 250,000 with ADB (accidental death benifits) of 500,000. It pays starting the day I sign up and get approved. It covers EVERYTHING except if I die while commiting a felony. So if I rob a bank and get blasted, my wife and kids get zilch. For the first two years it will not cover suicide, and it will not cover terminal illness within the first twi years if it is pre-existing. After two years it will cover suicide and pre-existing terminal illness. After two years, if I die, they get paid (felony exclusion still holds), I die of anything other than natural causes, they get paid double cost 600/year for a 30 year term policy with the rate guaranteed the whole time. And if you buy your policy in Ohio, Ohio law prevents any insurance company doing any business in Ohio from excluding ANY activity other than death in comission of a felony. Suicide/Skydiving/Scuba/Rock Climbing/Piloting/HangGliding etc. are all covered and all you have to do is physically BE IN OHIO when you purchase the policy. You do not have to live here. Edit to Add Oh yeah, I decided to buy this policy because my current insurance is 30-year term but the last 8 years are decreasing benefits with increasing rates.
  23. You make some strong points. As far as freeflying I never jump in more than a two way. I only sitfly, and I only jump with experienced jumpers. That is where the staying relative is easier because few experienced people will jump RW with newbies in two way but tons of experienced freefliers will jump 2 way with us newbies. Therefore staing relative is easier because you are jumping with someone who makes it easy on you. (Read that as probably doing more work). Each experienced person I jumped with freefly has alos given pointers after the jump to help me improve my stability, turning and fall rate. AS far as "5000,4000,2500" I pulled numbers out of the air there and yes you are right it usually takes me more than 1000 feet to turn dive, track arch and pull. I was implying that some of us get tired of coach jumps. They aren't as fun. They cost more. Yes I know you can make more progress with a coach in less jumps but sometimes they are more like work than fun. Now in a team setting yes I will do them. Currently I am in the process of using a coach for my sit and so is my team-mate. We have no intention of getting in the air together until both our coaches feel we are safe and stable and in control enough to fly together without hurting each other. But yes I have definitely put dives together (with experienced jumpers only) on the way to the plane. Again the conversation I described was way oversimplified, partly for brevity, partly to loss of focus do to typing and retyping.
