  1. Sort of. Mostly it seems that if it was a 100% non-union project he'd be thrilled to the same degree he doesn't seem to care greatly about the "10,000 additional" non-union jobs. This should simply be filed under predictable, dishonest horse shit and not used as a lame excuse to slam John Kerry.
  2. Might be kicked out as cruel and unusual punishment but what the hell?
  3. The vote is 100-0 to convict and Trump is hauled from the Senate chamber, put in solitary confinement, and forced to listen to Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks songs for the rest of his miserable life.
  4. Ain't you F'n cheery this afternoon. Please leave my fantasies alone, thank you.
  5. What the hell? I'd say it's arguable that Facebook and Twitter, by allowing the dissemination of misinformation by and for Trump, are as responsible for our national dysfunction as any other force. More so, as I think about it.
  6. Yep. And, per the standard model, his source is a right wing hack blog helmed by Fox Alumni John F. Solomon: John F. Solomon is an American journalist who is a contributor to Fox News.[1][2][3][4] He was formerly an executive and editor-in-chief at The Washington Times.[5] While he won a number of awards (including the 2008 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award) for his investigative journalism, he has in recent years been accused of magnifying small scandals, creating fake controversy[6][7][8] and advancing conspiracy theories.[1][3][9] During the Donald Trump presidency, he has advanced Trump-friendly stories and played an important role in advancing theories about alleged wrongdoing involving Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and Ukraine; Solomon's stories about the Bidens influenced Trump to request that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky launch an investigation into the elder Biden, which led to an impeachment inquiry.[4]
  7. Do you mean like Republican controlled Senate allowed at the last impeachment trial? Do you mean like the 45 Republican Senators who have now voted that this trial shouldn't even happen want to happen again?
  8. From personal experience, I'm sure it was the money. Seriously, I'm betting they refused to lie about election fraud.
  9. Personal attack? Nonsense. Please don't become one of those types.
  10. Thank you, Professor. I'll study harder.
  11. And that would be his problem. I think your skills are better spent slapping me around. At least I enjoy it.
  12. Sounds like something you learned from a student.
  13. Someone needs to make it 510, you know.........
  14. Donald J. Trump, best I can tell. What's terrible is that she won her seat 2:1 over the next best candidate after a Trump endorsement. That means she likely has a permanent seat in the Georgia 14th district. So even if she's expelled she's likely to be right back in 2022. Given that it seems equally unlikely that she'll be censured we're likely looking at a future Senator, too. What a goat rope.
  15. Oh, Professor, relax. We're having an adult conversation. Every post can't be reduced to a canned one liner and a gif, you know.
  16. Well, of course you can find fault with that or anything else. That's your schtick. Then you attack the posters honesty, in keeping with your technique, followed by asking for an admission or an apology for, apparently, whatever comes to your mind at the moment. Rinse, wash, repeat.
  17. Why would he? They're all losers, right? jaybird, Ron, airdvr, that's what you wanted in a President, right? I mean, twice you voted for him, did you not? Your choice for President was a guy who wouldn't visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France where our dead from the battle of Belleau Wood are buried so as not to get his hair mussed. Do you believe his excuse that Marine One couldn't fly in rainy weather? And you really consider yourselves patriots?
  18. That's the Noble Piece Prize.
  19. Is the emoticon supposed to be you? I'd have chosen differently. Look, a country is many things but more than anything it is a society of people who choose to adopt a common identity and who work toward common goals for the common good. Those things generally come together very slowly for the whole. It's just reasonable that when most people have decided things like racism and racist behavior are no longer a part of their identity then they also no longer see it as a part of their national identity and, by extension, no longer identify with certain symbols of their racist past. It's not about starting over or denying our past it's about standing up for who we are now as a people. That's a good thing.
  20. When the Presidential Medal of Freedom isn't awarded to crackpot radio hosts and the Presidents golf buddies?
  21. It's 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and PS 36 is still one up on PS 35. What a game, Bill, what a game!
  22. Good googaloo, it's not like 1/2 the kids who graduate these days even know who they were much less what they did.
  23. I often wonder how some folks with short attention spans and strong biases get the wrong idea about things they start to read but don't finish. Could it be intentional hyperbole or is it just lazy writing?
  24. Your wish depends on if you are a Republican or a Democrat.
  25. And for that you also get a prize. You guy's ought to get together and post for each other just to see if we can catch it.
