  1. Had dinner with a lovely couple from Austin, Tx last night. I'm telling you that there is Blue in Texas.
  2. As far as I know they never saw it coming. One less bell to answer. One less tree to cut down....
  3. We're On the Beach now, seems to me. Hoping for an attenuation of any of the offenses against us, much less a saving reversal, is just wishful thinking. Most definitely we should try hard to understand why things are as they are but that will never change the outcome. In a way we're a very lucky bunch: name another civilization that was able, so clearly, to see the end.
  4. Jumpers prove every election they don't give a shit. Let's just fade the idea of fragmented representation and hire people for money to do the job. Ed Scott will attest that I've hammered him more than hugged him, and I also think his C182 drop zone agenda is flawed. That aside he is spot on about our having too many elected officials. I wish him success.
  5. The power to decide someone should not post here defines your limitations. This one is on you, Wendy.
  6. Then why not 20 National Directors? Ed is right that there are too many special interest voices governing USPA. In terms of membership percentages no one votes for them so who needs or wants them?
  7. 8 less opinions and 8 less folks governing in potential conflict of interest.
  8. I could have raised the specter of in male voting.
  9. If Harris were elected which specific harms do you imagine will be her real agenda that might justify panicked fleeing? Are you concerned we all might be woked to death? Will there be forced, and anonymous, Gay marriage? Will all urinals be replaced by toilet stalls? Will men be forced to wait, regardless of how many guys are in line, the same amount of time to take a leak as women at any public entertainment? Pretty much anything she will hope for but not accomplish as President won't impact the survivability of our democracy. Trump? Not so. I will certainly not sell everything and run for it but I'll damn sure spend less time in the continental US.
  10. I'd like to know what positive outcome you see as possible even if either party ran Winsor's ideal candidate to victory. It's not Liberals vs. Conservatives anymore; it's the Judiciary vs. the Citizenry. That specifically includes the DOJ. The new Supreme Court has only started raking us over the coals and our new AG, apparently, either can't read a calendar or is more concerned about his legacy than the erosion of our democracy. And, like Ginsburg, Breyer seems intent on hanging around to guarantee another hard right religious nutcase on the Supreme Court. The sad, simple fact is that the left doesn't know how to wield power to win elections or get specific results. We're already toast.

Easy Brother, I'm thinking Sir Winsor is without even his imaginary friend by now.
  12. Given that you can't be less of a skydiver perhaps there is another opportunity on offer.

Relax. We're all hoping you're first to 1000 likes no matter how often you post everywhere.
  14. So you reply with three more digs, a suggestion on a better way to live, and a cherry on top question about his intellectual integrity. Good boy.
  15. I'm you and I don't bark that shit since I got me a firing pin. That reminds me that I don't have any ammo because of you.
  16. That's a fact. Of course we're more inclined to violent defense.
  17. It was a day and age when dueling was normalized, much like school shootings today.
  18. Certainly not from lack of trying. Glad you're well, if still unhappy. Welcome back!
  19. Sorry, I was attempting to tone down my snarkiness. Apparently it's either on or off. My apologies.
  20. It's hard not to conclude this is just one more, downstream effect of our far too liberal gun laws. No doubt some will hope I choke on my granola for spouting such heresy (BTW, my preference is Red Mill's 5 Grain) but when the aggregate of our laws allows, in fact encourages, more or less anyone to bring a firearm to an argument or to shop for groceries bad things are bound to happen. Like this guy. He was able to articulate the unarmed guy into an early grave with his power of persuasion. Apparently that's approved behavior under Texas law. So was when he shot a warning shot into the ground. He might also go free because when the soon to be dead guy attempted to grab the weapon it became a self defense situation for the armed guy. I think I have that right. What will it take for so many millions of Americans to finally grasp that our Second Amendment was never intended to cause a firearm free fo all with holstered weapons and assault style rifles carried openly and with impunity? Craziness.
  21. And his Mom has a My Son is an Honor Sheriff bumper sticker, probably.
  22. And just who is the nit-wit 4 star General Sheriff being interviewed on CNN? He sports more medals than Audie Murphy. Which one is that Red, White and Blue Ribbon on the top, the Distinguished Donut Cross? Is that really what we need in our cops? I think not.
  23. It's because that sort of me-ishness that new rigs are like $10 Grand. You need to take some of your disruptor stock profits and. as the new Mod so aptly observed, get prices down the economy going.
