That dispels any suspicions. Also, without #2 there is no Fibonacci sequence. Coincidence?

    Jerry "Door #2" Baumchen.
  4. I just wish he could do more to validate your world view than fumble his words. Personally, I am much happier with a President who has a speech impediment than a severe brain impediment.
  5. I'm far from anti-gun and I am a fan of home defense but having a pile of pistols laying around makes zero sense to me. In fact, unless someone gets their jollies match shooting or has had serious training and is super current I see no place for pistols in home defense. A made for purpose tactical shotgun loaded with buckshot is the only weapon that actually ticks every box including the very memorable sound it makes when the receiver slams closed. I am glad you didn't have a Kid on Kid shooting in your house while you were away. I would also hope you had a more than gentle discussion with yourself, starting with the realization that you simply dodged a statistical bullet and nothing you believe about guns was validated.
  6. Great plan. So, do you set them around the house in different places ready to go? Do you have one on the bed stand and another ready to chase motherfuckers down the driveway? Do you pack two at a time, one concealed and one open carry? Have you tested your accuracy in the dark, lying down on your back, shooting (hopefully) past your toes?

Oh relax. It's a language thing. She probably thought the CDC recommended that all ya'll protect yourselves and get Booted.
  8. Comes a time when you're driftin' Comes a time when you settle down Comes a light, feelings liftin' Lift that baby right up off the ground Oh, this old world keeps spinnin' 'round It's a wonder, tall trees ain't layin' down There comes a time You and I, we were captured We took our souls and we flew away We were right, we were giving That's how we kept what we gave away Oh, this old world keeps spinnin' 'round It's a wonder, tall trees ain't layin' down There comes a time Oh, this old world keeps spinnin' 'round It's a wonder, tall trees ain't layin' down There comes a time There comes a time
  9. How do you know she knows that? Sporting one video of penguin porn online could easily be a misdirection. I think this needs it's own thread.
  10. Demographics might be why those of us who lived through the years of herd fecundity are more tolerant of a personal choice view about abortion.
  11. Makes sense and ends the mystery of where Master Riggers come from.
  12. Jawohl, mein Frau. I was just tripping along imagining what it was like to have the world view of someone in a TV show who really was looking at you from inside the tube.
  13. I agree that anyone opposed to abortion should be able to draw a real line in the sand. Zero means zero and some requires specific boundaries. If someone is unable to specifically describe those boundaries or their boundaries are changing that's fantastic but don't mumble through it. Instead, join the rest of us in opposing restrictions on others on vague grounds because that's what your gut is telling you that day.
  14. According to reports he was posting on a forum about abortion.
  15. Agreed. So is "people who are against abortion just want to control women." True in some cases - certainly not all or even most. I, for one, am pro-abortion thread.
  16. This post has had me cogitating. We haven't met in person but I am convinced you are a great guy who truly believes in treating people decently and living morally; the kind of guy I'd want to have a beer with even if you were scoping out my date. My discombobulation here is that you're a fetal heart beat guy when it comes to the start of life/humanness or whatever the definition is, if I have it right. How can you reconcile the views then? From a strictly moral/ethical perspective killing is killing and we're told that applies to unviable fetuses at any stage. If you believe that why would you then not strongly oppose Roe?

Mommy! Mommy! Look at me! Look at me!!
  18. You heard right, I've been informed. Might be we need a National Aunts and Uncles Day, just out of respect.
  19. The idea that I'm floating idyllically on thousands and thousands of pissed away Christmas presents is making me a tad weepy.
  20. You only hurt your likes to posts ratio, which is already quite dismal, by doing that. I think Ken offers counseling.
  21. Negative. It is a health and equal rights issue dressed up as a humanity issue and politicized by some religious people. The science does not support the religious view. That requires intuition, gut feelings, and a lot of like feeling people to lean on.
  22. That's a fact. I ran Otters and Caravans at Otay for years and the load sheets tell that exact story. Also, the wind direction is very consistent.
  23. Now you're playing silly games. Look man, no one here faults what you believe if we don't need to be affected by it. With or without your coreligionists have a great time in your houses of worship. Just don't claim a subsidy or use that advantage to claim others to your belief. Do that and no one will say a word.
