  1. Is that Bytch and Bitch? Add the doggies and we could have a LOT of fun with this one ________________________________________
  2. Chris and Skolls - Roger's sequential event weekend, July 7-10 is the one we are discussing. Flyangel and Roxtail will be there, Minxx and BlueFox are waiting in the wings for slots. Chris - thanks for the info. Fortson, this may or may not be where we stay... what's it worth to ya!!???!?!? ________________________________________
  3. TUNNEL CAMP!!! I haven't flown 4-way with the Foxes since Nationals - so obviously, I'm a little thrilled... ________________________________________
  4. Chris - Is that the one that's further down Black Horse Pike on the opposite side of the road from Pike Inn? ________________________________________
  5. Wow - you've got an "in" if you have the forecast that far out! ________________________________________
  6. Thanks. At least one of them will confess to being dragged, kicking and screaming the whole way... And now they see it isn't a bunch of secret stuff, it isn't who you know, it is what you do to get yourself where you want to be. ________________________________________
  7. Both Minxx and KWOO got their official invitations to JUMP FOR THE CAUSE!!!!! Happened this morning. I'm so proud of them! We will be planning some Foxy Fundraisin' for the boobies, and you'd better get some sunglasses ready for all these jumpsuits! If you thought we were obnoxious in our purple, wait till you see us all in PINK! OK, you may resume your standard tracking, wingsuit, dinner planing, band-playing, I love you, you love me, video-linking posting now...
  8. I used to work in employment, and if you are being hired in, the start date is always negotiable. There is no harm in telling the new job folks that between the time you interviewed and the time their offer came in, that a special project at your current job arose that you need to see through to completion in June. In fact, it shows you have respect for your employers, integrity, honesty (the change since the interview) and loyalty (you don't want to leave your current boss in the lurch). Those are all good traits for an employee to possess. Just food for thought... Good luck! ________________________________________
  9. And your own $20 too! Of course, you have to remember, even on invitationals, success is never a guarantee. People can be quite suprised to learn that there are air skills and attitude involved in successful events. Being able to handle failure, avoid blame, own up to your own mistakes, and buy-in 100% on the team mentality are all factors for being a good big-way participant. (True on 4-way, too, right?) There are always untested folks out there who deserve the shot even on an invitational, but someone still has to know the "goods" on them, and it usually has to be presented to the organizer to make the call. There is more to it than "build it and they will come". Val, I hope you (or someone) can get something put together for the Mid-west. Can I be invited? I'll provide a resume... ________________________________________
  10. That bad Elvis one was on American Airlines two weeks ago - glad I didn't have a headset. It looked REALLY bad. Mummy Hotep is definitely my worst vote. Elvis is old and living under a suedonym in a nursing home down the hall from JFK, who is this old black guy. He claims he was dyed black and brainwashed by the gov't as a coverup after his assassination attempt failed. They are hunted by an old-people eating mummy. Ouch. Snore. ________________________________________
  11. Done. Yup, I couldn't even log in after registering. I have no idea if my registration is even complete because nothing would load. Hopefully this will help! ________________________________________
  12. Yeah, my Remi impression is a killer! Me type bad. Being, beating... its all the same thing right? To beat, or not to beat, that is the question... What are earth were you people up to at that event!? Beatings, a Super Fluffer, dayum, I definitely left Perris too early. ________________________________________
  13. I haven't heard from him since CSWR in 2002, but maybe BillyVance has Tony Albano's email, and maybe Tony knows where he is? ________________________________________
  14. --The DZ will still be there when you're healed. --Alcohol tastes the same both on or off the DZ, but it tastes even better when you're out of the country, --You can get a better tan without the cast, --Grip strength is more important that flexibility for skydiving (though creeping is tougher), and it's a lot more fun to work on , --You've already got a couple of months of this whole thing behind you, and look how fast that went!!
  15. Perfect! San Bernadino, CA. I always say Perris is the only DZ that I'd actually move for just to jump there more. I'm guessing it does know about drop zones... It's too close to the smog for me, though, I'd have to lay claim to land at a higher elevation. Air Quality wasn't one of the Q's, obviously. ________________________________________
  16. And I see Heather, and Gimp, and Lee, and Wragg, and - This is like Romper Room!! Oh, I guess I just showed my age ________________________________________
  17. I see Mr. Foxyroxtail...
  18. Dr. Linz - Woah! Impressive! Congrats! ________________________________________
  19. Go eeneR!!! Heal up, girlie, and party on the meds!!
  20. So, stupid question time....how many newer jumpers can you have on a 100-way? I imagine that a lot of it comes down to things such as an experienced four-way jumper with tons of tunnel time, a good track and some experience with 30-40 ways would probably do alright on a 100-way. However, since people in the Midwest generally have to travel for 100-ways, what kind of experience is acceptable? I guess that's the scariest part....not really knowing if someone is qualified! You have to assure good organization and good skill to attract the numbers. If you bring in an organizer, have them make the determination for "qualified". If you start putting a lot of inexperienced folk on it, you will scare off the serious talent. You need to decide if you want a CAMP format to get people experience, or if you want an INVITATIONAL for people who already have it. There is a big difference, including who you recruit as the organizer for each type. The more qualified and "known" the organizer, the more experienced big-way people you get, the more experianced big-way people they bring, and so on. That's why it seems to be "always the same people" as was said before, even though there are always new faces, too! It takes a lot to put it together, and more to run it, and anyone who has organized any formal weekend invitational will tell you, it is a lot of work. Negotiating organizers, the DZO, airlift, event costs, getting videographers, the drop zone staff, logistcs, finding lodging to offer, managing the personnel list, handling the "but I have the experience how come I'm not it" people, coodinating the calendar so it falls at a time that people will have the time and money, and that's only the start of it...
  21. If he doesn't wear the lavender shirt and the thong at a National competition, he doesn't deserve a damned thing. Hmmmm, I like the idea of of LOTS of witnesses... I wonder if this is why I don't have a PM from him yet - I think he's scared!! ________________________________________
  22. Sending vibes to ... Doesn't matter who it is - the vibes are out there for the catching - good luck to you, and may your news be good... Pam ________________________________________
  23. :: Spent the weekend with Mom in WV while hubby ran the CaSL meet in SC, so none of the first or second, but Mom was doing some serious walking - first real walking outside of therapy (she had a stroke in March), and it's the first weekend we didn't end up on the floor!! I'll buy beer for that acomplishment. Tunnel Camp this weekend!!! Yeah, FOXES!!!! ________________________________________
  24. Private Sector ? Please - every keystroke monitored on my work computer. I have a personal laptop on my wireless network, and my work one hardwired to the network to access the corporate intranet system for work. Never the two shall meet... ________________________________________
