    Dogs

Call Cesar! http://www.cesarmillaninc.com/ Seriously tho, I commend you and at least trying to find the dog a good home. You had to know you were gonna get flamed on this post. I had a dog like that and the problem was simple. No one was home during the day and he got nervous about that. Destroyed my couch, the floor in the mud room. On a good note it got better after he was about a year old. Hope things work out. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  2. I think it will inspire a lot of kids to take up music. Hope it does anyways. As long as HALO doesn't inspire kids to get RPG's. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  3. Find a place that does facials and manicures. They have special tools that might take care of that. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

  5. Happy f&$kin birthday to me! http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&productId=8198552921665067952&langId=-1 Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  6. Try here. You might find your answer. http://www.sirius.com/install/manuals Edited to add: I'll bet since it's satelitte ready you probably don't have to buy anything. Check the "band" button and see if you get something like satellite. It'd be nice if you do. I have XM in a Trailblazer but it's an add-on unit and the sound quality is lacking. 7. I started jumping with these guys. Pic is circa 1982. Fortunately we had our own cessna load every time we went to the DZ. Unfortunately we had our own cessna load every time we went to the DZ We learned by listening to others more experienced then trying it ourselves. We talked incessantly about jumping when we were'nt at the DZ. It drove people nutz!...and made us very unsociable too. We would stand together at a party and ignore everyone else while we talked about jumping. Man those were the days Paul (zoomy in black & red) was the first one to drop out. He was married and the wife said no. Sean (closest to the camera) was next. He made it about a year....got married and his wife said no. Tim (all white 2nd from the end) jumped with us awhile longer. He got married and his wife....well...you know. Dan (tan jumpsuit on the end) and I still jump together today. He was married and told his wife to f....you get the picture. 8. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I just called me cable company and they've figured out this trick. I'm taking my cable box in tomorrow but they said they're still going to send someone out to disconnect it. It was worth a try. Betcha they don't. Cable contractors use disconects as easy pay. They report that they've done the disconnect and get paid but unless there's someone to verify that it happened or that the contractor is bullshitting they usually don't physically disconnect. I'm willing to bet that after you take your box in you'll still have the basic channels for a long time. Lemme know what happens. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  9. I disagree. The skydive starts when you board the plane and ends when you step off the landing area. I disagree with your disagreement. Lots of folks board airplanes every day. Very few leave them before they've reached the gate. Now technically I know that getting on a plane wearing your rig presents some possibilities commercial flights lack but if you really want to be pristine with the data I think it starts at climbout. The problem I have with the whole scenario is why are we trying to convince the world that it's safe to skydive? USPA had phenomenal growth in the '70's and '80's. I don't recall thinking to myself "This is a safe thing to do" when I took my FJC in 1981. It was an adventure. It was dangerous. My survival skills were being tested. I knew that if I f&#ked up I could die and the sense of satisfaction and self confidence I got from it was life altering. As I continued to learn it meant becoming part of a very select group of individuals who had the skill set to do something few people could do. I think we actually do the sport a dis-service when we try to mainstream. Sorry, I'll step down from my soapbox now. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

  12. Hehe...those T-10's landed you like a sack of sh*t. If I remember anything from my FJC it was the hours spent jumping off the platform. Still find myself at times needing the "relax and just take the hit" training. My SO has seen me FUBAR a landing and she thought for sure I wouldn't be getting up. Please don't dent the planet. 14. Give yourself a break. I know it's tough. I'm in the middle of it right now and sometimes it's really hard. I've seen some kids turn out great and some turn out bad, and it doesn't have as much to do with the parenting as you might wish it did (or didn't). I just try to be there for mine as much as possible. Give their Mom a break too. You can't throw mud in that situation without getting some on yourself. Hope things work out. 16. First rig was an SST (before they were Racers)...1.5 Stratocloud and a 26' Lopo....no D-bag...just a diaper...the pull out was velcroed to the container (cause of my first 2 reserve rides) $500 used. I think I ordered the jumpsuit new...hideous thing...2 piece beige and brown (bounce and blend)..wings that would have qualified for flocking today. I think I paid maybe $100 for it. That was 1982 dollars. From there I went to a Flitesuit which I didn't really like, and a Tony that I loved. I gave it to a friend who still jumps it today, albiet with some extra materiel in the knees and ass. Got a new Tony a couple of years back...love it. It was right around $300. 17. I can't tell you the number of times I saw newbies buy brand new state of the art gear only to see it for sale the next season. I'd hope you stay in the sport for a long time but the reality is that few really do. Things change, and 3 years from now you might not be jumping. Buy what you can afford. Have a rigger check it thoroughly before you hand over the cash. Then jump it and have fun. Don't be too concerned about what it looks like. I've seen lots of people who looked like world champion flyers....until they got out the door Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

    RW suit

I have to agree with Pops here. The OP has no idea what he'll need in a jumpsuit yet. Just buy a used one that's comfortable and in your price range and when you've got a few more jumps you'll be able to make a better decision. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

  20. Tell me. What difference does it make to you what his beliefs are? He's not jamming them down your throat. He's not forcing you to live the kind of life he leads. You're free to do whatever you like. I think you must feel threatened in some way, and I'm not sure why. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  21. So you agree. It really is a spineless congress who goes along. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  22. Explain. Apart from the fact that Hoover's proposal didn't actually get implemented, You need to actually read the entire article. In September 1950, Congress passed and the president signed a law authorizing the detention of “dangerous radicals” if the president declared a national emergency. Truman did declare such an emergency in December 1950, after China entered the Korean War. But no known evidence suggests he or any other president approved any part of Hoover’s proposal. Hoover just proposed something so stupid anyone could have seen through it. Capitol Hill. And what are you talking about? Kallend merely pasted a quote. A quote that makes it quie clear that congress passed a law in 2006. Sorry about my misspelling. Guess that makes me stupid and insignificant. I seriously doubt Mr. Kallend has ever merely done anything. I am talking about Kallend's inability to see past his contempt for GWB and pass the blame around equally. If he feels so strongly about it he really needs to take a hard look at congress too. Now that you've brought it up though, what about the 5 years that elapsed between Bush's order and Congress' law? There was already precidence for a sitting president to make such an order. I guess it just took 5 years for congress to make a new law for one that already existed. What difference does it make? Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  23. WOW.. selective memory there.... but not surprising.... You yourself pointed out it was passed in SEPTEMBER 2006....By the INFAMOUS REPUBLICAN RUBBER STAMP CONGRESS... Grouped By Vote Position YEAs ---65 http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=2&vote=00259 Alexander (R-TN) Allard (R-CO) Allen (R-VA) Bennett (R-UT) Bond (R-MO) Brownback (R-KS) Bunning (R-KY) Burns (R-MT) Burr (R-NC) Carper (D-DE) Chambliss (R-GA) Coburn (R-OK) Cochran (R-MS) Coleman (R-MN) Collins (R-ME) Cornyn (R-TX) Craig (R-ID) Crapo (R-ID) DeMint (R-SC) DeWine (R-OH) Dole (R-NC) Domenici (R-NM) Ensign (R-NV) Enzi (R-WY) Frist (R-TN) Graham (R-SC) Grassley (R-IA) Gregg (R-NH) Hagel (R-NE) Hatch (R-UT) Hutchison (R-TX) Inhofe (R-OK) Isakson (R-GA) Johnson (D-SD) Kyl (R-AZ) Landrieu (D-LA) Lautenberg (D-NJ) Lieberman (D-CT) Lott (R-MS) Lugar (R-IN) Martinez (R-FL) McCain (R-AZ) McConnell (R-KY) Menendez (D-NJ) Murkowski (R-AK) Nelson (D-FL) Nelson (D-NE) Pryor (D-AR) Roberts (R-KS) Rockefeller (D-WV) Salazar (D-CO) Santorum (R-PA) Sessions (R-AL) Shelby (R-AL) Smith (R-OR) Specter (R-PA) Stabenow (D-MI) Stevens (R-AK) Sununu (R-NH) Talent (R-MO) Thomas (R-WY) Thune (R-SD) Vitter (R-LA) Voinovich (R-OH) Warner (R-VA) 20% Democratic Yea vote...sounds like a rubber stamp job to me. Whatever King George II wanted... Congress would bend over and kiss and suck his ass just as fast as was needed to garner favor with the Incompetent in Charge.... the Great Decider. So what you're really saying is congress has no backbone? Everyone is so quick to jump on GWB He's not the King. In reality nothing much happens without congressional approval. Where's the attacks on congress? Amazon...you speak in absolutes. No room for possibilities? Open your mind...see that nothing is perfect or absolute. Please don't dent the planet. 24. Seems a fair comparison to me. "After the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, President Bush issued an order that effectively allowed the United States to hold suspects indefinitely without a hearing, a lawyer, or formal charges. In September 2006, Congress passed a law suspending habeas corpus for anyone deemed an “unlawful enemy combatant.” But the Supreme Court has reaffirmed the right of American citizens to seek a writ of habeas corpus. This month the court heard arguments on whether about 300 foreigners held at Guantánamo Bay had the same rights. It is expected to rule by next summer." Sorry. Not the same thing. I knew you'd try and make it a GWB thing but congress passed the law. You seem to keep forgetting about some 500 plus folks on Capital Hill. Finger pointing? You better get some help. You'll need alot of hands. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
