  1. Had a 'BLAST' today. Eight-way advanced(?) with Craig Girard. Nothing but perfection and flawless precision skydiving, even without the perennial 'fuck-up-Remi' this year. (just kidding Rem). Six amazing complicated, challenging and super fun dives. There is only 1 Craig G.
  2. Zack, others may hesitate to say, but would you please save the constructive and sensitvly critical responses to private messages to the organizers. Thanks. I'd just as soon see only positive bullshit, for what it's worth, actually put forth on this forum. The back stories will always be back stories. Go for it. Keep your eye on the prize! Mark
  3. I once asked Joe, what does it take to be a real crw dog. He replied, "You can get anything you want, at Alice's resturant". I replied, "you just walk right in , it's around the back, bout a half a mile from the railroad track". We became best freinds that moment.
  4. Joseph Lambright passed last week, after a skydiving incident. I thought as a tough guy, I'd be over it by now. I'm not over it. Help me. Joe cared about me. Joe cared about all of his family and friends. Joe cared that we would all care about each other. Damned old hippie. Joe mentored me in CF and showed me how relaxed and confortable CF can and should be. Joe was a guenius in controled CF building. Mark
  5. Thanks Joe, For showing me how to live and love life.
  6. Your sig line is terrific! Read it out loud to yourself. Look in the mirror and read it again. And reread Amazon's post # 28 here. Hopefully, you'll get older and wiser, and look back and laugh. Mark So sorry, could be considered P.A. Signing off now.
  7. keep your butt-planes in TexASS, Jason. Heh, heh. I hear some butte flying in moab is norm.
  8. Flock Yeah! See ya 9-27.
  9. Something in will change when you have a daughter. You will stop looking at the young things as you did before. You will be more likely to defend all youngsters from oglers, and inclined to tell young girls to go home and dress more respectably. You will become a better person. Welcome it.
  10. You will be. Just keep loving her, brother. And change your avatar before she can see it.
  11. from a remote fishing village in Alaska, a fed ex box of home made chocolate chip cookies, for my 52 birthday. I love my baby girl! I'd share, but there was only fifty or so, and now only a couple left over for breakfast.
  12. I read it all the way thru. Was it Lincoln who said something about who's side God was on? ?????????
  13. sinc/asinc, naw too cool
  14. I bled out in '78. Auto accident. Police photos show the baggie zippered up. Last tech at the morg, decerned a pulse two hours after shippment. Upstairs to the table, and here I am, 29 years later, breathing and copulating like a regular guy. Sorry, no bright lite! Just gone, then back. Any other stories?
  15. Looks like war paint. Is this pic a before or an after?
  16. Steve is 'spot on'. I'll leave the discussion to the dz management, if they care to elaborate.
  17. The favorite yearly boogie for southwesterners was marred this year by 'mordida', to the point of almost cancelling out the weekend. The SDA owner and staff put the decision to the jumpers on hand as to whether to jump or go home. The result was one of the best boogies in the twenty five year history at Rocky Point. I am wondering about the after action reports from jumpers and family, and how SDA is responding. Any one hear anything yet? Bets, anything to report yet?
  18. You'all might stop and listen to your own self. Of course we are not talking about YOU, because you are still alive. Hope to keep it that way, oh, and keep me alive too, is, what the collective must consider. Give an inch, gain an inch.
  19. Micheal McGowan has by far the most entertaining bonfire chats and stories ever heard. Invite this man of stories to your next gathering.
  20. Two divergent posts, seemingly apposed, yet on the same track. Are we witnessing politics within or power struggles? Knowing all parties intimately, Bryan, Betsy, Larry and Lil, and the greater staff of SDA, I think not . In fact, I am sure the answer is NO! The entire afilliated crew at Skydive Arizona is a devoted gang of individuals dedicated to providing a SAFE and fun environment. Yea, OK, so much smoke, eh? But if you get to talk with Bryan and or Betsy, and or Larry and or Lil, (believe me, they are accessable, anytime, anywhere), you will find that they are a team. And they are real people who really do give a shit about you. Business is business, and SDA is a business. But, a business very delicately involved with survival rate. Imagine that! I believe that the SDA stand on canopy control as it is governing the LZ airspace is welcoming news to the vast majority of fun jumpers.
  21. You guys don't understand the desert winds. We can cruise for miles and miles, and when the devils stir, we rise and rise. To drop out of the thermals precicly over Eloy is really tricky, else you end up in Collidge. They have no good bars in Collidge, so to overshoot Eloy's Bent Prop, you may have to go as far as Albequerque and then the ATC gets all nervious. So, you just gotta watch real close for the bighorn sheep in the Ironwood Nation Forest and start to cruise towards the I-8 headed for Eloy. All seriousness aside, the Bent Prop has the best beer.
