Guys I found a jumbo jet at the Las Ventures airport. Walk up to the HUGE hanger on the southeast end of the airport, the door starts to come down, and behind it is an enourmous jet (which of course if you have a rig, you can bail out of and make a skydive). There's also a pretty pimp helicoptor on this airport property. The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!

Eminem's new CD came out today, at least it did for those of you who don't mind obtaining it illegally. Hits the stores in a week or so. I haven't listened to much of it yet, but what I've heard so far is amazing. Part of me does wish he'd stop rapping about Bush and the War and just go back to rapping about killing people and shooting his Mom, but hey...what can ya do? I demoed both at Rantoul. I'm certainly no expert on the flight of canopies, so take the following words as a grain of salt: Overall, I liked the Pilot better (and am ordering one Monday as a matter of fact). The openings were both acceptable. Very soft, and on heading. As the Aerodyne guy said, speaking on the Pilot, "the opening is like falling into a bed of pillows", I couldn't agree more. I liked the toggle reaction out of the Pilot quite a bit more. When I was flying the Pilot, I felt as though the canopy was one with my mind, as if it knew everything I wanted it to do. I didn't quite get this sensation from the Safire. I loved the flare of the Pilot. It just felt right. It felt natural and perfect. The Safire I kinda biffed in a bit actually. The flare just felt akward, like the canopy didn't slow down very much (if at all) during the first half of the flare. Not that I know wtf I'm talking about, but IMO, the Pilot just seemed like a purely perfect canopy to me. Nothing wrong with the Safire (I actually liked it better than the Sabre 2), but the Pilot was the best of the three by far.

Hey, I don't have many more jumps than you, and the only reason I'm even replying to this is because I was in your exact shoes at one time with my PD 210 (ask Phreezone ) Anyway, I've tweaked that thing where now my landings are BEAUTIFUL. Like yours, it's pretty old and doesn't have much life left on it, but after some trial and error I've gotten it to the point where most landings are like stepping off of a Kleenex into the ground. How do I flare? I kinda have a nice long slow flare. I don't wait till the last second and jam the toggles down or anything, I just slowly start bringing the toggles down in one nice fluid motion at around 15 feet (play with it until you get the feel for it). Usually about the time my hands reach my waist, I touch down with a tip-toe landing. The fact that it's not fun at all to fly aside, I love my PD. Easy as hell to pack, and (since I figured out my problems) VERY smooth landings. Good luck!

For those of you into video games, you can BASE Jump off of a skyscraper in the new Grand Theft Auto game. Located towards the bottom right of the map is a skyscraper you can go to the top of. On the roof is a rig, you can jump off and pull (or not pull) at your will. It's a VERY well made feature. You can track in freefall, stall your canopy, do a mediocre excuse for a hook turn, it's very very cool.
