  1. a few years ago, when it was only talkback, there was a guy called jumprunner. some kind of a surf dude wanting to be a skydiver and pure pain in the ass for everbody. The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  3. my uneducated guess is, that - on a worldwide scale - governments are not run by elected politicians but by multinational corporations, acting via their lobbying agents. for i am not a u.s. citizen my few is certainly biased but i think the financial support presidential candidates get from various companies adds to this problem - sooner or later they have to serve their supporters. editto add: no matter if they are republican or democrat, which in european eyes doesn't make any difference as long as the general politcal climate in the u.s. is dominated by paranoia and for the stuff people are smoking: try the alternative, get yourself some nice hawaian shrooooms and everything will be nice, full of unseen colors. at least for the next 5 hours
  4. out of curiosity: how many cases of a broken riser on tandems are there really? afaik this happened only once after deploying not belly to earth. do i miss something? The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

    German Beer

spaten one of the worst here. but probably still a lot better than the crap usually sold in the u.s. come over to europe and see what beer can be like - original budweiser from czeske budejovice, or kozel from breclav The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  10. if you compare pax harnesses from UPT and Strong you will come to realise that with the invention of the sigma booth changed the design of the harneses to strongs (added backstrap & bellyband). so basically they are identical. 11. taken out of context one could think that you are talking about vector tandems to rhys: i jump set 400's on a regular basis, so these are the canopies i am familiar with. since we've got only one set 366 i don't get to many jumps on it but i can not relate to your experiences. light toggle pressure, easy to fly, great flare - that is what i like about this canopy.

  15. the original post was not intended to put blame on the moderators. i think you have to sift through more shit than the average poster can come up with and i think you do a fine job in keeping the average noise levels on an acceptable level. and i know that this has been discussed already, although not lately makes perfect sense and that is where i think the chaos starts because every newminted 50-jumps randomflier feels entiteled to demand action or jumps to conclusions usually getting backed up by senior postwhores. sometimes i think it would be easier to form categories for incidents and just add dates and places whenever someting happens with links to previous discussions. /sarcasm off/ i have no idea how to solve this, but in the last year the quality of the posters contributions has gone down The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  18. with 42-something jumps you are probably not the worlds "fastest" packer. there will be a moment when you think "what did i ever need a hook for?" even when packing a brand new 400 squarefeet tandem-main happy packing
  19. pheeew - it's good not to be alone The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  20. i know this is a tricky one, but i'll give it a try most of the times the noise ratio in incidents is just a plain pin in the ass. examples? here we go as soon as a new incident is posted, it doesn't take longer than 3 posts before someone asks for wl, canopy, currency - as if these things wouldn't be told/posted as soon as anybody (still?) willing to contribute to these threads cares to go online. comprende? posters (especially the low-jumpnumber-crowd) demanding legal action from s&ta's, USPA; FAA whatever - if you can not take care of yourself and of others and contribute for a safe environment in your personal area - stop crying for a big-daddy-substitute sorting things out for you. this wish is wether new nor original or wanted. if you don't have anything else to write - well simply don't as for people still posting condolences: WAKE UP BABIES - for posts like these there is a separate forum. if this is all you have to contribute - don't post a nice example of posting stupidity would be this : could somebody get me heavy pain killers? basically the incidents threads tend to be reposts of earlier incidents/fatalities - why can't people just shut up and take them as reminders. the lessons are all out there. and if you have nothing to add of value - just don't hit the frigging post-button thx for venting The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  21. sadly enough you have to write this all again. posts like yours have been made many times and the lessons derived from the incidents threads are all to clear. also the lessons are in no way new. the really sad part is that the jumpers who should listen and who should feel spoken to, will hardly read posts like yours or listen when given the talk btw: thx for the ongoing effort

  23. nope, i am not one of those i am not sure what this means as for contributing to safety: i've been working with students for the last five years
  24. sometimes i have the impression that u.s. citizens love their guns just as much as their willies - you won't find anybody wanting to live without one not to speak of giving it away. this applies as much for men as for women *flame away i'm european and won't get it anyway* The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
