  1. I have to wait till Sept for my next jumps, I have not jumped in 8 years due to life, the wife, the kids, money, etc. But I'm makin a comeback starting in Sept and waiting just 3 months is KILLING ME!

    Stupid people

An act of defiance. I understand him. I wouldnt do it, but then I didnt grow up in his world.
  4. A Brain hemmorage carefully pour a shot of Baileys Irish Cream into a glass of pretty much any clear schnapps. The baileys curdles into a lump that looks like a brain if done properly. A touch of grenadine for color. Looks gross and tastes like shit. The lumpy texture as it goes down can make you gag :-)

  6. Will do. I'm having cypres installed, reserve repacked, and a thorough inspection prior to jumping it :) Thanks all for the info! Chris
  7. Hey all, Its gonna be about 6 weeks before I'm at any DZ so this is the best way to get these questions answered. I just bought some used gear. The main is a Hornet 210. Question 1 is simply: Does anyone know if the manufacturer will still do work on it like new lines etc seeing as they no longer manufacture the Hornet? Question 2 is: At 186 jumps on this canopy, when do I (if ever) need to worry about new lines? I ask because I see canopies for sale stating that they have X jumps with new lines done at X jumps. Is this just for ones that break or do they wear out after 300 (for example) jumps or what? Question 3 is: I have not even unpacked this canopy yet (no room here, I dont know how to pro pack yet) but when I do, is there a tag or label with the DOM and other info like the type of lines etc? Buying used as a newbie is kind of a leap of faith (pardon the pun) As far as the claimed number of jumps on the canopy, I have no choice but to take the sellers word. For the info that I CAN verify, I would like to do so :) Thanks, Chris

    Dont hit me!

Ok I've been told! Well, its not really that, its more. From one jumper to another, why do you like head down better than belly to earth RW? Is it just the greater speed then?

    Dont hit me!

Hi all! OK, this question might make some of you want to hit me but the fact is I AM curious and asking is the only way I'm gonna find out. Truthfully, I am not trying to make anyone mad or be a smart ass. Why do you want to fly head down? From what I can see, you tend to go a lot faster thereby shortening your freefall time. I cant imagine wanting the freefall to be shorter! It seems like pretty much a solo act even when you do it together and you all just hang there upside down looking at each other till pull time. Whats the appeal? I understand that its not easy so obviously there is the challenge factor, but after you have it down, whats left? Sincerely, Chris
  10. Heres some good ones! http://www.zoltanium.com/vibes.html PS Vibes!
  11. For myself, at my skill level I want everything around 1:1 and no higher. I weigh 205 and jump a hornet 210 main and a swift plus 225 reserve. From your profile it looks like you only have a few more jumps than I have and your main is loaded more or less 1:1 so you arent used to anything thats gonna go real fast I'd hate to be learning how to fly your reserve for the very first time at a high wing loading. Who knows where you might have to land it? My non expert, lowbie opinion is to get a larger reserve.
  12. Heya, I hope you post after you make your jump! I'd like to hear how it went for you. Hey, I live about 2 miles from ya man! Maybe we will cross paths sometime. Rock on brother!
  13. I'd be curious to see what we would see if the folks that answer would also note weather they have actually had to go with plan B at some point and if so, how many times. For myself, I am a very picky packer and I take a long time about it. Sometimes I've been razzed for it. When they do that I tell em (while grabbing my crotch) "I got yer fast pack job right here...!" Its my life riding on it and I'm not gonna try to race or beat the clock or make that lift. I'll get on the next one, thanks! My numbers are low but I have not had to chop one yet. I hope to keep it that way. I dont like adrenaline THAT much! Or, should I say, I dont like THAT MUCH adrenaline all at once. Cheers
