  1. This is just a guess, there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest this, why was there nothing written about JC for nearly 60 years… I mean he must have been quite a prominent figure at the time!!!! Im afraid it is you that has little idea, may I suggest you do a little research before blurting out silly statements… Paul's biblical letters (epistles) serve as the oldest surviving Christian texts, written probably around 60 C.E. Most scholars have little reason to doubt that Paul wrote some of them himself. However, there occurs not a single instance in all of Paul's writings that he ever meets or sees an earthly Jesus, nor does he give any reference to Jesus' life on earth. So explain that one… I would have thought that story of Christ would have been rather important in the development of the church.. but for some reason Paul didnt know (well didn’t write) anything about The virgin birth, the 3 wisemen, the entrance into Jerusalem, he never mentions Pontius Pilate or a Jewish mob or any trials at all. Paul doesn't know any of what we would call the story of Jesus, except for these last three events. And even these, Paul never places on Earth. Just like the other savior gods of the time, Paul's Christ Jesus died, rose, and ascended all in a mythical realm. Paul doesn't believe that Jesus was ever a human being. ("If Jesus had been on earth, he would not even have been a priest."--Hebrews 8:4) He's not even aware of the idea. And he's the link between the time-frame given for the life of Jesus and the appearance of the first Gospel account of that life. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  2. In the gospels there are first hand accounts of a resurrected Christ. A first hand account is considered evidence in a court of law. It is not scientific evidence but a witness account is used for discovery of the truth. So the truth according to the eyewitnesses in the gospels is there is life after death. Can you please point out these “first hand accounts” and where they appear in the gospels??? Because I think you’re talking rubbish… Jesus is supposed to have live in the first 3 decades of the 1st century; the first gospel written by Mark mentions the destruction of the Jewish temple during the Siege of Jerusalem, which occurred in the year 70. Therefore the gospels where written after this time, which leaves a huge 4 decade gap between the gospels and the alleged life of Christ.. So basically Jesus lived, everyone forgot... and then everyone remembered!!! Paul did write about Jesus at around 60 C.E., However If Jesus really had lived as a historical human being, nobody told Paul about it. In all of Paul's epistles, (about 80,000 words), he never mentions a historical Jesus! He never heard of Mary, Joseph, a birth in Bethlehem, King Herod, the miracles, ministry, no trial by Jews, or trial by Pontius Pilate. In other words, the man who invented Christianity had no idea that Jesus walked the earth. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  5. It still amazes me how ignorant some people are and that they still buy into the hollywood stoner image.. "Dooooood lets order pizza maaaaan im so stooooooned" Although I doubt most drunks are organized enough to effectively engage the legislative process. Kinda hard when your world revolves around greasy kebabs and punching your wife in the head, thats if you havent crashed the car on the way home from the pub.. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  7. First let me just say, personally I don’t give a crap what canopy you choose to fly… However you know as well a I, and everyone else on this forum you are way out of your depth on your cobalt.. There is absolutely no reason what so ever for you to be flying this canopy with your experience, skill (perceived or real) or jump numbers.. I am aware the some new jumpers feel pressure to be excepted as a serious, experienced or even "cool" jumper and one way they perceive this is to be seen flying a small high performance wing... Making excuses about wanting more flare etc are bullshit, I have flown all of the canopies you have mentioned so I know from experience.. There are plenty of other canopies in the same performace class as the spectre, so why choose a cobalt? was it because the cool kids fly elipticals? I think it is.... as there is no other explantion... You will and I would even put money on the fact that you will hurt yourself if you continue under this wing, if you don’t have the skill to do anything but a perfect, and I would probably add high performance landing on your first / second jump in the conditions you explained then you simply do not have the skillz / experience to be under it… By the way how many rear riser landings did you have on your spectre?? I would guess “none”…. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  8. I would seem that we are experiencing the “wettest” November in 23 years…. This time of year is late Spring and us usually blue skies and warm. The weather is supposed to start to clear up tomorrow (Friday) and generally improve from there. 9. I think another good point, and one probably more inportant would be, if I was there also with my rig, what exit would we do.. I think an unlinked head down, then perhaps you transition to your feet and we perform a double spock.. then maybe some carving!! ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  11. Obviously you do, but also interestingly [sic] Before 1752 churches had a pesky problem: lightning. Whenever the "artillery of Heaven" would open fire, the church steeple always seemed to be the target. Church leaders lamented how the heathen saloons and houses of ill repute could pass through the average thunderstorm unscathed while the church suffered. Why would God lash out at his own houses of worship, or how could he sit idly by while the devil struck the holy building? The church of Rosenberg in Austria, in the mountains of Carinthia, was struck so often and so many people were killed that the peasants were too scared to attend services. It was not until 1778 - 26 years after Franklin's discovery - that the authorities permitted a lightning rod to be installed. Afterwards, all storm-related catastrophes ceased. So I ask, why does your god target churches? You know maybe he doesn’t because he doesn’t exist….. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  12. No. I'd protect myself from lightning just as I would protect myself from smashing into the earth at 120 mph by using a parachute. 13. All i can say is that in the 30 years i lived there i never did see a single gun, or did I know anyone who had ever been shot, shot at or seen a gun fired.. I can honestly say that at no point whilst living in London did I ever need a gun.. Dont get me wrong, Im a big fan of shooting guns, and I was in the military for 6 years.. and if guns were legal I would buy one... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

On high mileage vehicles where a seized engine is a possibility, I try to turn the engine by hand by putting a socket and long breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt and turn the engine by hand a couple of full revolutions to be sure the engine is free. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  15. Yeah its awesome to jump, but the short answer is that its rare its at the DZ, let alone being used for jumping. In the 4 and a bit years I have been jumping at picton I've seen it drop jumpers once.. and that was because all the other planes broke down... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  20. This news story is chock full of information: "I'm waiting for somebody to wake me up right now. This is a bad, bad dream... All I heard it was a jealous boyfriend and he went berserk. He took them all out." Tyler Peterson was hired to protect and serve in Crandon, Wisconsin - population 2000 - can't understand how the 20-year-old who shot six of their young people and critically injured another could have passed a background check to become a sheriff's deputy. An off-duty sheriff's deputy went on a shooting rampage early Sunday at a home where seven young people had gathered for pizza and movies, killing six and critically injuring the other before authorities fatally shot him, Three of the victims were students at the small town's high school, and three were recent graduates, a school official said. The gunman may have graduated from the same high school. The gunman, Tyler Peterson, was 20 years old and worked full-time as a Forest County deputy sheriff and part-time as a Crandon police officer, said Police Chief John Dennee.. 21. Since putting food in the mouths of starving children is so noble, I think we should just go around bitching at everybody about how they are not spending their money the way you want them to. So $35million on a creation museum is money well spent in your eyes is it?? Its just emphasises the point that mankind really will be better off once we have evolved out of this need for silly sky gods... Also why do we see lighting rods on the top of church spires??? Is that a lack of confidence???? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  22. Get with it! So you think that it is better to blow $35million on a "creation" museum then to put food in the mouths of starving children???? 24. Its not us atheists that are preventing people from protecting them selves, and by openly and knowingly lying about scientific evidence in order to push our agenda.. Also were not the “asswipes” that spent $35,000,000.00 on a museum to misinform and uneducated people. Personally I would rather see that money spent on feeding the starving or helping the millions of AIDS victims in Africa… ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
