  1. So Ill put it another way, I am looking for a significant improvement in performance over what I am getting out of the Xaos. The Xaos was to big for me, however it was my first x-brace and I for that purpose it was imo perfect for me at the time. I have competed under this canopy for the last 2 years in the Nationals, and will again this year as my JVX wont have arrived. Even if it turns up the comp is 3 weeks away so im not going to have time to get the jumps on it I need. The last 2 years I have competed in Inter, and last year won overall and took out 4 medals. Late last year I competed at the state champs in Open, and wasnt even competative, my distance runs were consistantly 30m shorter then the next guy and way off the leader, and my speed runs were a good 2 secs+ off the mark. So basically what im looking for is a significant improvement in performance over my Xaos, and to be at least competative. I have no false illusion that buying this JVX will allow me to start winning comps. Im not sure that I am ready just yet to start competing at 2.8WL which is why im looking to be able to load up with lead, which i can do as im only a 150lb guy. Also I do want to be able to use this canopy when im not competing, and its also a All ZP JVX. So what do you reckon? the 82 is to big isnt it.... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  2. Has anyone here transitioned from a Xaos-27 to a JVX?? I have been flying a Xaos-27 90ft and have just placed an order today infact for a shiny new JVX. After some calculations and thought i opted for a 82sqft JVX, This would put me at a 2.0:2.1WL, and allow me to go upto 2.4WL with lead when competing. I notice several people have stated in this thread tha they have purchased a JVX at what they considerd to be the correct size only to find out that after a bunch of jumps they wished they had gone a size down? So now im wondering if i have made the right choice in size??? My original thought was to go for a 79.. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  3. There is no other reality. Spiritualism that you speak of has "no way to measure or quantify". Just like you describe your god. It's all in your imagination. It sounds like you are starting to get it. There is true reality which for the most part remains hidden. And then there is the holographic projection of reality we create in our imaginations based on the input of our senses. I feel much safer with Gods take on reality than some human contrived substitute. ... Please understand this is not intended as a personal attack but my comments are out of concern.... You cleary are not able to repsond to any post in an intelliable way??? So i conclude either you are just trolling or you are in need of help, if the later is the case then im sure there are plenty of people here who will point you in the right direction or indeed provide you with support and the help that you need. You seem extremely delusional and incable of grasping reality, please seek help if you need it before you harm yourself or others. I and others have tried to have an intelligent debate with you, but enough is enough. This is my last post in this thread... good luck and I hope you recover. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  4. First what other reality is there, second please provide evidence of this thing you call a spirit…. So to sum up what you are saying, god lives in ones imagination, through the “feeling” that god is there. So round we go in circles, as I have quite clearly at categorically shown you the feeling that god exists is in its self evidence for his non-existence. So to repeat myself again to you, and maybe this time you will take note… For the "feeling" that God exists. This is no different than the "feeling" I once had that the Tao governs the universe, or the "feeling" others have had that aliens visit them, the spirits of the dead talk to them, or several gods and nature spirits live all around them. People have "felt" the existence of so many contradictory things that we know "feeling" something is the poorest possible evidence we can have. Most people "feel" something completely different than we do, and since there is no way to tell whether your feeling is correct and theirs is wrong, it is just as likely that theirs is correct and yours is wrong. And since there are a million completely different "feelings" and only one can be true, it follows that the odds are worse than a million to one against your feeling being true. So "feeling" that God exists fails to meet even a minimal standard of evidence. Also how do you explain non-resistant non-belief? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  5. How can you come to any other conclusion then the non-existence????? I grew up in a Christian family, attended church on Sundays, however over time I did question the existence of god, and over time my faith eroded away as every question led to the same conclusion. I agree, there is so much that is unknown about our universe, but in no way what so ever is this evidence of your god. This is also known as the “God of Gaps” theory. And back to more excuses for the failure of god I’m looking for answers that should be available and there are not, therefore I conclude god does not exist. How about just for once, you provide a single piece of evidence for the existence of your god and not more excuses??? Can you do this??? Well quite clearly it is not, I just provided you will a long list of children that died as a DIRECT result of people who believed faith in god is all they needed. So perhaps some evidence to counter this conclusion, or are we gonna pull out some more excuses, like its all gods plans, or he moves in mysterious ways…??? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  6. Please understand, I recognize that you are asking a lot of good questions, that I have also asked, that demand answers. The only problem is that in some cases there are no clear cut answers, we will have to wait for clarification at a future time. In other cases it is criminal neglect by deluded parents trying to create god in their image. What I am saying is death as a result of human evil is very bad, death from the Hand of God is good, since it is part of our experience here. I don't see where death makes God evil. Death is a part of His plan for us. It is just the next step in the progression. ... It is pretty clear cut, the last example quite clearly shows that people who have relied on god have all resulted in death, so the only two logical conclusions there can possibly be are 1. God isnt loving and doesnt care, or 2. He isnt there. However you seem to simply ignore this and dismiss it with some silly excuse. And this is what I dont understand, what is it that makes you simply deny what is most likely true and just defend your god with excuses for his utter failure. Is it really that hard for you to except he might not be there... I have asked you so many times, and provided examples that demonstrate that your god probably doesnt exist. You have offered nothing to suggest otherwise. How can you not question the existence of your god, when all you have is excuses for his failures? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  7. "To whom much is given , much is expected." I think innocence or lack of it in children has something to do with reaching an age of accountability. There really aren't any rules. You can do and think what ever you want. There are directions though, if you have a particular destination in mind. ... So at what age do you become acountable, and also does your god pass on this free ride to the mentally ill, and what mental illnesses are covered??? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  8. Death is certainly a sad event because we can no longer be with the ones we love. But death is very much a part of our experience here. Death as a result of criminal behavior should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, since only God has the right to number our days. I can't help but believe that children have a special place in Heaven when they die. The death of a child is hard to understand, but it doesn't stop me from seeking what I may understand. ... OMG...how big is your bag of excuses!!!!!! why do you insist on defending a baby killer...i just dont get it... in one sentance you are saying that god is a loving parent and in another you are defending him over the murder if children??????? Also its not hard to understand, every single child in that list died as a DIRECT result of faith in someone who isnt there. EVERY single one would have most likely survived if that had recieved reall medical aid. So either god isnt a "loving" god, hes a baby killer, or more likely (and this does seem to be a theme here) HE PROBABLY DOESNT EXIST.. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  9. God has been all the things a loving parent could be Well you must be special then because he was far from "all things a loving parent could be" when he let all these children die.. 10. I find nothing in your quote to disagree with. But apart from an inward spiritual pursuit, knowledge of God is unattainable , as is manifestly obvious by a lot of the posts here. I can only speak for myself, but I have always had an intense interest even craving to know God. I have spent a good part of my life creating my own value system and reality with less than optimal results. As I have adopted Gods viewpoint and reality, the insatiable need I felt within my self awareness has been quieted and satisfied. Right or wrong, better or worse, it is truly a blessing in my life. ... This is where you and I differ considerably, I have quite the opposite, I have absolutely no craving to know god, which I feel is truly a blessing in my life. Many consider this to be simply biological, the "god gene". However this does pose a tricky theory for the god followers... however I post this knowing full well that it will simply be dismissed and ignored by you in your typical close minded approach to your belief in god. John Schellenberg wrote an interesting paper that if there were a God, then nonresistant nonbelief would not exist. But, he continues, the existence of nonresistant nonbelief is undeniable: there are individuals who do not believe in God for reasons having nothing to do with emotional or behavioral opposition towards God, towards relationship with God, or towards any of the apparent implications of such a relationship. For example, some former believers who would have loved to go on believing in God could not do so because a serious and honest examination of all the evidence available to them unexpectedly eroded away their belief. Additionally, throughout human history theistic belief has never been a live option for scores of human beings either entrenched in alternative religious traditions or lacking the basic conceptual conditions to even be able entertain the idea of an all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfectly good creator God separate from the physical universe. From this it follows that God does not exist. A perfectly loving God would ensure that meaningful contact with himself was always possible for those he loved, but just by looking around we can see that this state of affairs does not obtain. Weak theistic evidence, then, provides strong atheistic proof. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  11. I don't know about you, but the evidence is there. Just look within. ... Head...Wall....Bangs... not my words but sums it up rather nicely... [sic]So, too, for the "feeling" that God exists. 12. Currently there is an enourmous ammount of evidence to suggest that gods DO NOT exist, and it is ever increasing, and not a shred of evidence to suggest they DO exist. However I am much easier to please then you, I will change my mind when there is ONE piece of evidence to suggest your god or any god exists. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  13. and what exactly is that, and by the way I notice you completely ignored my last post. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  14. So what you are doing here is first giving your god a "get out" clause for not answering your prayer which in turns prevents any doubt of his existence creeping in. Second you pray for "understanding" which is a sort of get out clause, as it is unquantifiable, so you never really know whether your prayer has been answered. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  15. My prayer it this, that all people would know God. I am fully confident that my prayer will be answered. If not in this life, then in the next. See, wasn't that easy.
  16. Are you serious? The motives behind your prayer request are pretty obvious. God is in charge of reality construction, not us. We are to submit to His will and purpose and our prayers should reflect that. I don't make excuses for God. I just try to understand Him and act accordingly. excuses, excuses, excuses... I asked your god to end suffering, pain, war, and to stop babies starving to death. What would be the "right" motives then? Now for someone who is "all powerfull" this should be a fairly simple task. Yet STILL nothing... HELLO McFly.... Anyway as I stated in a previous post, to counter this pathetic excuse, i asked my sister, who is a fully fledged god believing, church going christian to repeat my prayer and yet STILL NOTHING.... NOTHING what so ever..... Also if your still not happy with this outcome, then how about you repeat my prayer. god will surely not ignore you! ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  17. And what were those "wrong" motives???? How about just for once, stop making excuses for your God, and consider just for a moment that he might and probably isn't up there... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  18. Ok i asked my sister who is a christian to repeat my prayer, and well guess what!!!!!!!! Any other excuses for your lack of God? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  19. How would that spoil my experiment, or are you attempting humor? Isn't it obvious how it'd spoil your experiment? Earlier you said: "And you did say in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. “ Well, like I told you, my mate prayed to God, and asked Him to turn Himself into a steak and kidney pie, which God, through the power of my friends prayer, had no choice but to do so. My friend then scoffed the pie. So perhaps you should have tried your experiment earlier, before my friend done his? how did he know it was the correct pie? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  20. How would that spoil my experiment, or are you attempting humor? Either way it doesn't matter, as i think it is quite safe to say that our little prayer has fallen on deaf ears, if those ears even exist. So what can we take away from this, 1. Prayer doesnt work 2. God doesnt answer prayer, cant be bothered. 3. ooh and the big one, GOD DOESN'T EXIST..... Now if you as a believer in the almighty simply dismiss this result then that is rather a close minded approach to faith. Now as an educated person which im sure you are, then you really have to ask yourself why was our prayer not answered, god quite clearly states in a number of places in the bible that he will, and to remind him we even listed a few in our prayer.. So in your mind that should be an element of doubt, if there is not, then you are truly beyond reason and intelligent debate. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  21. what is a "emotionally debilitating sin pattern" ???? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  22. Despite the continued failure of prayer when tested, lets give it a go ourselves and hopefully we can achieve a couple of things here. First it will prove whether or not prayer will achieve anything and also will infact prove whether your god exists. So all together get down on your knees, put your hands together and repeat after me…. “Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet right now, and whilst your at it can you please feed the millions of starving children, and perhaps end war and hatred. We pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. And you did say in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. “ In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. So lets check back tomorrow... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  23. Do you actually read what you post? Why didn't god, being all powerful and all, just wave his hands utter the magic words and neutralise the "penalty" generated by all the sinning??? that would have been a lot easier..... Also can you please expand on "Spiritual Sacrifice" what is that exactly??? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  24. So basically regardless of what particular religion I follow I will end up in heaven as your god will just "sort it out"? The words “Fantasy land” and “your living in one” spring to mind. Perhaps if you had read the bible then you will have no doubt noticed that your god is far from loving, fair and just. To name but 5 examples that spring to mind…. 1. 2 Kings 2:23-24 : 42 children are killed for calling a prophet "baldy", 2. 1 Samuel 6:19 : 70 people are killed for looking in (or "at") the Ark of the Covenant. 3. 1 Kings 20:30 : God makes a wall fall on and kill 27 000 of an army retreating from some Israelites. 4. Numbers 16:16-49 : Death to all those who complain (14 950 of them altogether). 5. 2 Samuel 6:6-11 : God kills someone for accidentally touching the Ark of the Covenant. Now the doctrine of the Original Sin where children are punished for the sins of there parents, hardly sounds “fair and just” to me. Adam and Eve where punished for sinning before they knew the difference between good and evil, your God is most certainly NOT “loving, fair and just” if it punishes innocent people for sins they do not understand and could not resist. You are going to need to do a lot better than that load of twaddle about “fair and loving” So god will erase my memory? That’s basically what you are saying isn’t it? Seem’s a little dodgy to me, ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
