A gun should never be fired (or even aimed,) at something you are not willing to destroy, or someone you are not willing to kill. Rubber bullets might not lead to death in most cases, but if you are not seeking to kill, firearms are probably not the correct tool for the job. My opinion. Others will vary. FallRate

Trolling is a violaton of the rules. FallRate

I tried to put it politely when I asked: "Should a moderator be so partisan?" Well, back to the basics... Greenies shouldn't troll. FallRate

Ex-freekin'-cuse me?!? "Cheney Blames Democrats for Gas Prices"

Technical Details on the link lists fuel consumption as l/100km...but the font on the site makes it look exactly like 1/100km. Decameters didn't make much sense. FallRate -

Tried to figure it out. I give up. What is the fuel consumption on that car? FallRate -
Ex-freekin'-cuse me?!? "Cheney Blames Democrats for Gas Prices"
FallRate replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
I make no claims of authenticity as regards the given data. I checked Quade's post and if you take the five month average for '04, then 15% of the total oil consumed in the US is imported from the Arab OPEC suppliers. I would say that is fairly close to 11%. That is, if total imports accounted for 60% of consumption. FallRate -

So if imports account for 60% then the oil imported from the Middle East is 11.1% of the total we consume. Who said 11%? You're owed beer. FallRate -

The rule of thumb is to add a couple of posts for the number of times it will be pointed out that it's a repost. FallRate

Is there a "somebody in the GOP" who was responsible for dictating to Ron Reagan what he should believe!? Or is it too much to expect that he would have his own convictions? And if he had supported the GOP it would be easy to predict that the Left would chastise him as "having been mindlessly groomed to fill his Father's shoes. FallRate

Anvil's statement was not an "allegation of illiteracy". You should read it again. Your decision to ban Anvil was arbitrary and obtuse. By the way... Sangiro's selected definition of trolling: "A post (on a newsgroup, or other forum) thought to be intended to incite controversy or conflict or cause annoyance or offense." This post was an attack that could easily be taken personally and it's specific purpose was to incite controversy and cause offense: it was a troll. If you want to enforce the rules, you should probably acquaint yourself with them. FallRate

2% pales in comparison to the numbers Perot actually received in '92 (18.87%). If he hadn't run then, Clinton would hold a position in history right next to Dukakis and Mondale. FallRate

Unfortunately, the issue has become entirely partisan. These quotes have been posted before and represent little more than the fact that these men stand for nothing, except for holding office. FallRate

That is a glaring inconsistency on the part of the FCC. FallRate

If that did happen, it is not what is being discussed here. She made a point to walk back to the reporter and say that he was putting words in her mouth, before telling him to "shove it". FallRate

The Patriot Act...not just for terrorists anymore.
FallRate replied to PhillyKev's topic in Speakers Corner
The most contentious clauses in the Patriot Act are set to expire on December 31, 2005. While a group of ten Republicans in the Senate have put forth a bill to make these permanent, it is a measure that does not seem to have sufficient support overall. So it does appear that the Patriot Act will fade away. www.epic.org/privacy/terrorism/usapatriot/RL32186.pdf FallRate -
I did. He didn't. But then it's not like she spit on him. I doubt he'll cry himself to sleep. Still, it's interesting. More so than listening to Gore whine about winning the popular vote and losing the election...again. FallRate

The article doesn't say whether or not the mother sought child support or if the State was acting independently. Hmm...I guess this would support an opinion that the mother was actively seeking support. Sucks to be that guy. FallRate
