I'm in a similar situation as you. I have 56 jumps and most of the other people at the DZ have big jump numbers. I'm also interested in RW and it seems like alot of the people that have lower jumps numbers are more interested in freeflying. It has been hard for me to find someone to do 2-ways with. I have made the commitment and have hired coaches on my last 10 jumps, this seems to be making a huge difference in my abilities and I'm not as scared to ask someone to do a 2-way with me. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. After reading my post again I can see how you misunderstood what I meant to get across. I didn't mean to say that I practice pulling both handles because you just never know if your rsl will work, it should have come out something like this... I practice pulling both handles because that is the sequence that I want to initiate if (when) I have the need to cutaway and deploy my reserve. I guess the 'never know' comment was more about never knowing when your going to be in a situation that requires a cutaway. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. This weekend, I unpacked my gear and did a gear check turning my Cypress on and checking all the usual stuff, I did check my RSL and it was hooked up. I was called for my load so I geared up and did a visual inspection and my handles check, before getting on the plane I asked a more experienced jumper to give me a gear check. He noticed that my RSL was not hooked up, I don't know when or how it became disconnected but it did happen and if I had to wait for that RSL to pull my reserve I would have been waiting way too long and hopefully my cypress would have gotten angry and fired(but it is also just a back-up). Shit! I knew I should have dropped out of college, that way I could be an actor making big bucks and sharing my political views with the rest of the world. A nice change to the war threads

SON OF A BITCH!!! I stayed up late because I missed the early airing of the show, then I fell asleep before the ball drop. Oh well at least I got to see the 300-way(the little bit that there was). Oh noooooooooooo, not oscars. There goes a whole night of watching overpaid entertainers present themselves with awards for making some really shitty movies. But hey I can't blame them for asking for more money. If I could make millions by being a movie star and just asking for more money I would, then it would be free skydives for all my buds.

I took a friend out for a tandem and on the way to altitude he mentioned that he was excited about the fact that he didn't have to breathe on the way down(due to the O2 going through his skin).
