  1. are your arms really about 3-4" off your body? You may not actually know how spread out you are unless you get a coach to watch your track, this can help alot (it did for me). The other thinh that I thought about is that maybe you are transitioning to your full track position too quickly. Other than that you could also try practicing a less efficient track (arms out a little further), get comfortable and stable and keep bringing your arms in and cupping more as you get more comfortable and stable with it. BTW take my advice with a grain of salt as I am also a low time jumper, but thought I would throw in my .02. Get a coach if you can that is probably the best way to cure any problems like this. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  2. I purchased a pro dytter last year, it started acting funny so I gave it back to the rigger that I bought it from he replaced the batteries but it still acted strange. He called L&B to try and troubleshoot the problem. However, no troubleshooting was required as they immediately shipped a brand new pro dytter at no cost to me. It is this kind of service that will keep me coming back to them for anything that I might need. I had heard stories of their great customer service and I have now experienced it myself. I strongly recommend them to anybody looking for an audible.

  4. Well, I now have just over 100 jumps (mostly belly). I find it difficult to put a load together or get on a load with many other belly fliers. I have pretty much decided that since I spend alot of time on my own, I may as well start trying something new. I am waiting for my new gear to arrive and when it does, i think that i will probably transition into freeflying. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 6. I have an Oxygen, and I really like it. I have a big head. I tried a few other helmets but they were uncomfortably tight on my ears and my cheeks. Ask around your dropzone to see who has some big lids and just try a couple of them, thats what i did. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 8. I've said it before... If your already spending the money to go to Jamaica, make it worth your while and stay at Negril, I've seen people leave their hotels(and money) on different parts of Jamaica to finish off their stay at Negril (seven Mile Beach). __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 9. Right on, I leave for Negril a week from today, I can't wait.

  11. I'm buying a new digital camera, and I want to get it before I leave on a trip in a few weeks and after reviewing the photo thread in here I thought I would see what some of you guys are using(or recommend). I'm looking for something decent that I won't outgrow anytime soon, I'm not too afraid of getting something a little more complex and studying to figure it out as I go(I like to think of myself as a fast learner). As far as price goes I'm only looking to spend between $700-$1000 CAD, thats about $500-$750 US. Any info is greatly appreciated. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.

  13. My wife does not skydive, and doesn't really care to come to the DZ as it can be boring if you don't jump. We can only jump in the summer at my DZ so I spend most of my weekends in the summer jumping. I do take a couple off to take her out of town for the weekend or if I have other commitments with family. The winter is hers and we pretty much do things that she likes to do in the winter. In fact I'm buying a new rig so I am taking her on trip to Jamaica in March. Its all about compromises, just like anything else in a marriage. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  14. Not to sound like a wimp but i chose 5-star. I work hard enough if I am taking a break from work, I spend the money and go to a nice place where I can just chillax all day. However most places that I choose provide quite a few activities, or go into the town(or village or whatever is there) and spend a good part of the day there. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 16. ------------ OK OK!!! jesus i'll get a damn credit card just stop nagging!! thanx for the advice guys but i plan on winning the loto by the time i'm 30 so. ------------ There is a better way to establish good credit without ever using a credit card or really even going in to debt, especially if you bank at two different institutions(however you can make this method work with just one bank). Go into Bank #1 and get a line of credit(try for $2000-$5000). Go to another bank and get a second line of credit. Now all you do is spend a few months or a year juggling the money from one bank to the other, pay up on time(or early) every time. After a year you may have borrowed $5000 on several different occasions and you always paid it back on time(or early). In that one year you can have a better credit history than people that have borrowed for the past 5-10 years because you have actually borrowed more often. Just don't get tempted to spend all the dough on jumps. When it comes time to buy a house or anything else where you need big cash you will thank yourself for what seemed like a dumb idea of moving cash back and forth. In fact you could have two banks really fighting for your business since you are such a good customer. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. Agreed. Negril kicks some serious ass, have fun and if you get a chance to go on any booze cruises that feature Rasta Ralphie go for it, its a blast. The cruise we took with him included some great cliff diving where they filmed 20,000 leagues under the sea, and at Ricks cafe. Take a night and spend it at Ricks Cafe, great food and great party, also noted as one of the best places in the world to watch the sunset(according to WildOn anyhow) __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 22. You should be able to get free instruction, most people are pretty good about that. One of the guys at my DZ has an R/C skydiver like the one shown. I dispatched it from 1000' for him. Their toggle imput is great, and the mini ram air canopies are quite accurate, he ussually lands with 20' of the pin. His swoops are only about 2' long, I guess we will have to work on that. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  23. I fly both R/C airplanes i just got a new Heli for Christmas(yeah, I'm a geek). I stringly suggest you get someone to help you learn how to fly that thing. An experienced pilot can help trim it out so thaty it is much easier for a rookie pilot to actually fly it and have fun. Look out though, it can get expensive and addictive. Have fun __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
