  1. I doubt that they had to put her down, My dog had 1000+ quills in her and she is fine now. The doctor stopped counting at 1000 (they wanted to charge $1.00 per quill). It took 3 months for all of the quills to migrate through her body and pop out where ever they may. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 3. Do you take the badges of the vehicles that you drive? __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  4. I hire packers probably 50-60% of the time. I don't really hate packing, however, I am fairly slow at it (probably because I don't do it often enough
  5. Hey Ben I jump at Eden north, the people there are great as are the PFF instructors. I won't be going to the invasion this winter, but if you can go, I'm sure that you will have a great time with a good bunch of people. I took my PFF at Eden north and it was great, everyone makes you feel comfortable. Have fun.
  6. I own a sabre2 170, I have put about 60 jumps on it. I have had one brisk opening, but I am pretty sure that it was due to sloppy packing on my part. The rest of the openings have been slow and soft usually ending with end cell closure on both sides, but that really isn't a big deal. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 7. I'm also counting the days, I finally got confirmation on my flight so now I just get to kick back and wait. See ya there __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.

  9. I'll try to check it out while I'm there, Thanks. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  10. I have a grrr, bark, woof sign in my neighbourhood(in Canada) __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  11. I just got me new gear, so I thought I would share it with you guys. The container is a Talon FS, the Main is a Sabre2 170, and the reserve is a PD163. I managed to put three jumps on it Monday night, and hopefully a bunch more this weekend. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  12. The problem happens even when flying full flight at altitude, not just coming in for landing. Should I try to compensate for the turn by tightening one strap more than the other? __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  13. I'll do that to double check, Thanks. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  14. I made an extra effort to insure that my leg straps were tightened evenly on the las ttwo jumps and it still happened. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  15. I will do that and see what they think as well. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  16. I just received a new Sabre2 170 and I put three jumps on it last night. The canopy wants to turn left on its own(no imput). I find that i have to fly and flare with my right toggle down approximately 8" lower than my left toggle just to get it to fly straight. What should I look for? Could the canopy be this out of trim straight from the factory? I also got a new container (Talon FS), I checked to insure that it fit properly, and everything seems to check out. How would you guys go about trouble shooting this, would you try the canopy with a different container, or would you look for something particularly wrong with the canopy? I know all the regular disclaimers apply, talk to my rigger first... I just want some ideas to discuss with him. Thanks in advance __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  17. I do have experience with bikes (not a huge amount), some time on a cruiser (shadow 750), but more time spent on a GSXR 600, I don't have either right now, I do realize that the 996 was more than I would need, But at the same time it is more than almost anyone needs on the street. I laugh when I hear that people are buying bigger bikes because they have already pushed their 600's and 750's to the limit but they only ride on the street, most of these people are not anywhere near the limit of what their current bikes can handle. However, I'm sure that 98% of the people that own Ferraris don;t drive them anywhere near the limit. The biggest reason that I didn't buy the Ducati for myself was that I just bought a new skydiving rig this month and it left me a little short of cash. I guess I could have worded my first post differently, I was more interested in peoples opinions on this particular bike as I have never ridden a Ducati before. Getting back to motorcycle experience, I grew up riding motocross bikes and spent a few years racing moto right before I started skyding. I know that moto experience is much different than riding on the street, but any experience on two wheels helps overall. Does anyone else here race motocross? __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
  18. I've received more info on the bike and everything seems to be in order. There was no website or anything. I just ordered a new skydiving rig so I decided to pass on the deal, however, a friend of mine is buying it. I'm going in tommorrow to put a small deposit down to hold the bike untill he gets here (he is out of town right now). He had a 2002 CBR 954 that just got stolen about a month ago and just recieved the insurance cheque for it, it is enough to cover the cost of the 996. I'll keep you guys posted on it and let you know when we get it. I wish I could buy it, but I just can't justify two new toys in one month, the rig was bad enough. At the same time I didn't want to see the deal fall apart so I called my friend and he jumped on it. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 19. Some of the other bikes they have (that come to mind, I don't have the list with me) 99 GSXR 1000 - $4950 C ( Approx$3600 US) 00 busa 1300 - $5900 c (approx$4300 US) all new in box and legit.
  20. I know I couldn't believe the price myself. What happened is that an RV dealership aquired a bunch of inventory from a bankrupt dealership at an auction and a brand new Ducati was one of the unit among the quads, dirtbikes and a few other streetbikes. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 21. Anybody ride one of these? I'm not too familiar with them but I have a great deal on one if I want it. The bike is a 2001 Ducati 996 Biposto - Brand new still in the box. They want $11500 CAD (approx. $8300 US). Is there much to look for when looking at a brand new bike? __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. 22. That sounds like the problem I had with my pro-dytter, except sometimes after I landed, while picking up my parachute, the low alarm would go off. I sent mine back to be fixed, but they just sent me a new replacement. __________________________________________________ Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive.
