  1. Well put Frank, every outfit I ever worked for always had the same old safety rant, I've heard it a thousand times. Its funny how nobody ever points out how it (drug testing) affects the liability bottom line err. blueskies jerry
  2. look like too much fun to meblueskies
  3. Hi Viking, cant give you much advice on wing loading. But I did jump my 190 saber2 for the first time yesterday. in one word Sweet. I load my canopy at 1.35 and my reserve is a pd 193r, my container is a Infinity with hip rings. I've jumped Infinity containers with/without hip rings and they fly different ( read freefall) I don't know/not sure how that will affect harness shift. need more jumps. What I can tell you is at factory toggle settings I was not able to stall the canopy. Pulled at 6 grand on one jump and did hard toggle turns, very crisp indeed. didn't do any front riser turns. Practice flying in brakes / turns had two standups with about 20 ft surf into 7-10 mph wind. I always land my canopy in full forward drive. I've been jumping triathlon 220-190, and I have jumped a pd silhouette ,flight concepts 190 pro. In my opinion a light wing loading on this canopy won't save your ass, I'm told that with a front riser turn you can burn thru a 1000 ft in no time. more later blueskies jerry
  4. Right on the money jeremyeas. I work in an industry where drug testing is a common business practice. I piss in a cup everywhere I work and you can bet your ass I'm on the clock when I do. Fact of the matter is I'll spread my legs for anybody. show me the money. blueskies
  5. Slotperfect, here's my story on my saber2. I got my rig together two weeks ago, new canopys a 193r and 190 saber2. I bought the container off the net and after everything was packed the chest strap was too tight. So one week ago I run my rig up to Kapowsin and drop it off for mods to the chest strap and I had the leg pads fit to me, they measured me right on the spot. This last saturday I went back to Kpow and picked my rig up. Those guys at velocity sports did a super job on my rig for a really reasonable rate, now the rig fits like a glove. But its raining. ( did I mention I live in the Northwest?)So yesterday I drive out to the DZ (Skydive Oregon) and its not looking good at all, I show up and I'm the only guy there not on staff. Envenally a couple of guys drift in and we get a load up in the 182. we can only get 3000 ft and three of the guys go. The DZO was flying the plane, he asked me how many jumps do you have? I got 39. He asked do you want to jump? think about it. At first I said yes and than realizing that the original plan was for at least 3500 ft, I ride the plane down. So we wait alittle while and get get another 182 load going and get 4000 ft and I'm out the door my first jump on the saber2 the opening was so sweet, crisp on toggles, great bottom end. Anyway we manage to get enough people together for a couple of otter loads. and how was your weekend? blue skies Jerry

  10. Hi, I have a bodysport crater suite that has served me well as an up and coming jumper. It has swoop cords which I dont use and cordra on the ass which I do use. It tough as hell and washes up nice as there is lot's and lot's of mud here in Oregon. A friend who I went thru my training with recently bought a bodysport rw suite and it fits him like a glove, he's very pleased. hope this helps blue skies

  13. HI SS, At my dz the rental gear is tri canopys in infinity containers. I've been jumping 220 and 190 tri and on the 220 the openings ave about 800 ft long and sweet. the 190 tri I'v jumped three times only one opening was good, the secound one slamed me and the third one gave me a bloody nose.I think there are some issues with the 190, however I like the tri overall because you can land them on a dime, good luck with yours. blue skies
  14. yep,thats the going price.blue skies
  15. Dude all my openings on a tri have been sweet except for one,and the way it turned out was I started to pack it, but to make the next load I had to manifest so my buddy says hey I'll get this.We get out of the plane and did our thing.Unfortunately we blew right thru breakoff, I realized it first so I went into a track and when I was clear I pulled. This was alittle over two weeks ago and I'm still sore.I can think of several reasons why I had a hard opening, but from reading your post I can only think something is going on with your canopy.good luck blue skies
  16. hey gang , been there done that with the stability thing and what i did was get a crater suit . I fall rock steady now and if I want to do a slow turn I just stick out a hand. I got 35 jumps(10 were just fun jumps)at 4 different dzs and I'm still 4 jumps away from my A. hang in there rock on blue skies Jerry

  20. Greetings. with any luck I will jump my saber2 190 for the first time today. I'm loading it at about 1.3 and plan to open sub terminal @ 5500. CCC rear riser 90 /180 in brakes. unsto the toggles do 180 left/right and than attempt to stall the canopy. At 2500 stop all radical maneuvers and practice flying/ turns in various brake settings . At 1000 fly my normal landing pattern and land.(BEER) Any advice would be welcome. Blue Skies
