  1. Simple answer. No. Just because another dropzone has allowed him to jump under the minimum requirements, doesn't mean I have to. If the jumper has a problem with that, i'd be happy to talk it through with them, but they're still not jumping a wingsuit. Not in direct relation to this video but I don't like Pepsi. Does that mean I need to invent a new cola before I can tell anyone I don't like Pepsi? No. Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
  4. Whoa they're going back to the FUTURE? now that's some crazy ass shit. I've always known PF was way cool, but that's even more awesome than I thought! That's just how we mother fucking roll baby! We don't even use the word 'past' any more. 6. So why are we still flying flocks with fall rates that a newbie in a Classic II could achieve? I can track with a fall rate of 80mph in a tight fitting RW suit. Flocking at 65 - 70mph fall rate seems a waste of wingsuit potential. Without starting another country specific debate, there is part of this that is region specific. I know I have to adjust my flying style considerably when jumping in flocks in the states. Sometimes I have to have my feet almost on my butt to save overshooting everyone else, which is not so much the case in Europe, and certainly not when you jump with the Finns! 10. As mentioned, we put a lot of real world R&D into our new suits to make sure we bring the best product we can to market. The prototypes you see in those pictures have indeed already had changes made to them. Trust me, the wait will be worth it. Oh, and those coming to the AGM here in the UK, may get a chance to have a sneaky peak at some of the protos Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies

  14. Someone should call that number (anonymously)... see what kind of character is on the other end. Leading along Nigerian scammers is an art form, by the way. Some people actually are so good they get the Nigerians to send them money. Usually it's just pictures of some shmuck doing something silly. Check 419eater.com for hilarious email conversations and silly pictures of hopeful Nigerians. I just tried the number. It rings, but with a really strange ring tone i've never heard before - then cuts off. What a surprise! 15. Here's one I got the other day. I replied to the first one tentatively as it wasn't immediately clear what he actually wanted. 18. How old is old? My pro trak is 6 + years old and works fine with slo mode. To the op, set it slo and all should be well :-) Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
  19. So what you're saying is, you started this thread with the sole intention of starting yet another brand war discussion? Mods, is this even allowed? Quick, someone mention something about doing a BMI course with 5 jumps. That'll soon get the thread locked and deleted. 22. HH! Nice to see you venture into the WS forum. Thanks for unlocking the thread.
  23. Why do posts keep disappearing in this thread?! Anyhow, JT, good of you post up in this thread. I personally feel you have nothing to defend in this matter, but it's good for you to be here. A question for you, you say this has been in the making for 5 years? What's the military's take on wingsuit flying? What's the plan for it? Obviously, I imagine there's only so much you can say on the matter, but i'm genuinely curious. WS had always been actively discredited as a feasible military option - so curious as to what the plan might be with it? Sure it's fun, but does it really have a real battle purpose? I was under the impression that most military jumping was SL (correct me if i'm wrong), so how will students build up the required experience to fly WS - this is not another question about experience levels, i'm just interested how it will all fit in. Could a civilian contractor (such as Scott, as I believe he's now retired?) have not provided the initial coaching while the program was established. Again, absolutely no digs here, just interested, and please feel free to tell me to sod off
  24. There is now in the UK. Actually, they're stickers. Two levels. The first allows you up to a three way, the second whatever you want. Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
  25. The BMI program used to require a minimum* of 100 WS jumps. Don't think that's changed? *obviously, more is preferential. Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
