  4. There is no way out of here. The fate that America faces today was decided long ago. Productivity and profits for big business have continued to soar as wages became stagnate due to globalization starting back in the 70s. More women joined the workforce to make up the difference - and it helped for awhile. In later decades productivity and profits continued to soar as wages remained stagnate. We applied for credit and mortgaged our homes to stay afloat - and it helped for awhile. The housing crisis came about and now there is nowhere else to turn, but to print money out of our ass. We're fucked, let alone the negroes swept away into the corners of our fallen country that apparently not even the negroes themselves care about - ya, good luck with that. . . If we're going to change the definition of words, then I would prefer to call them strumpets. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  11. Jeeze, what a fucking mess. It's no wonder we continue to ignore this problem and say, fuck it - let them deal with it. Scoob has a point - the black community is going to have to fix this, because it's so obvious that we aren't gonna do a damn thing about it except throw more food stamps at the them. 12. Understood, but almost 50% of the country is getting some type of assistance Ok, but blacks only represent 12% of the country. I thought this was a much needed conversation about the cycle of violence and poverty in the inner city that has lead to the recent shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge. The fact is that the majority of those on assistance are either elderly or disabled, while others honestly cannot find a job or at least one that offers enough hours - and there are still others that are just too incompetent to hold a job. They cannot follow directions nor complete tasks - they are a liability. IMO, you and bolas are overstating the amount of able body freeloaders and their effect on society. That money is gonna be allocated regardless - it's serves a legitimate purpose for those it was intended for. There are always going to be people that take advantage of the system, but I think the screening process is more effective today in limiting that abuse. I can understand and appreciate what you're saying, but there needs to be an element of practicality. We can effectively advance an ideology that promotes personal responsibility and a strong work ethic. We can double the funding for our inner city schools and provide our children with the best education in the world, but none of it will matter if we don't have a socioeconomic structure that is capable of bringing that ideology to fruition. 13. A little less than a year ago you were dumbfounded that people weren't taking seriously the security concerns behind Hillary's private server - that how she ever had a server at home was beyond explanation to you. Was that hatred as well, or do you only use that term when people disagree with you? That Tryphorgetin must be some pretty potent stuff. 14. I can agree that she didn't help herself, but this story had already blown up well before she gave a response. I doubt there was anything she could've said that would've made much of a difference. If you think the majority of the left is looking to give the Trumps a benefit of a doubt in the midst of a heated election, then you're seriously deluding yourself. It's funny tho that the people losing their minds over this are the same ones that say the right is desperate for going after Hillary and her private server - that level of hypocrisy says a lot. 15. What do you mean by that? Accept what she said in the speech? In which case, accept that she meant it, accept that she didn't plagiarise it, or not care whether she plagiarised it? Or accept her explanation of how the speech was written? In which case, which explanation do you accept as true and which are false? At this point it's honestly difficult to know what your point is. It seems like you're having a different discussion to everyone else. yoink said that if Melania just admitted that she didn't know about the plagiarism but still agreed with the words, that it would somehow bring about "respect and healing," lol. I just think that statement is a load of shit. If this was about respect and healing, they wouldn't be making such a big deal over this in the first place. If they didn't believe she was sincere to begin with, why would they believe anything she says about it after the fact? Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  19. Bullshit - if the words she spoke weren't good enough for you to believe the first time around, then there's nothing she could ever say that would suffice. . . What an insufferable lot. Sorry. I genuinely don't understand. My point was that owning up to a mistake like this (it's not a serious one) can garner respect and heal. Rather than be devisive The words of the speech - either you believe she meant them or you don't. If you believe she meant them, then what's the problem? If you don't believe she meant them, then you won't believe anything she says after the fact - so what does it matter? ah. 2 different things. I'm talking less about the content than the sensationalism of her 'stealing' stuff from her opponents. I think it's fine that people on 2 different sides of a political divide can agree on (and actually be respectful of) their opponents positions on some things. And that should be what they mention, rather than trying to deny everything. Sorry. I genuinely don't understand. Just accept what she said in the first place - end of story. If you don't, then there is nothing she could ever say about it that could ever bring "respect and healing" - just more divisiveness - just as there already is. What does the right's opinion of Michelle have to do with the Democrats choice of a nominee? ...and if honesty is what they're looking for, why would they nominate Hillary? Anderson Cooper: "You were against same-sex marriage. Now you're for it. You defended President Obama's immigration policies. Now you say they're too harsh. You supported his trade deal dozen of times. You even called it the ‘gold standard.’ Now, suddenly, last week, you're against it," Cooper asked. 25. Ya, we have crazy rednecks and white trash, but we keep them confined to trailer parks. The main difference is that their children still get to go to rich white people schools which might explain why trailer parks seem to be less violent than the projects. (You know, you're right - I can already feel an elevated sense of credibility.) Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
