  1. lol, typical Normiss - all hat, no cattle. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  2. I do understand the context. I took your sentence as a complaint that the majority religion is not allowed to lead students in prayer. It's hard to read it in another way. It's was a statement of fact that illustrated the bigger point at hand. It's really not that hard especially after I already explained it to you. Personally I'm not really all that concerned with public prayer, or the lack thereof as per Mt 6:5-7 Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  3. Ya, good thing the bible isn't against trophy hunting, or else you might come to a different conclusion. The same people bitching about the consequences of trophy hunting are the same people that couldn't care less about the consequences of prostitution or drug use nor reducing the damage that such practices cause - legalize it! 5. Nice Straw man. The rest of your post is just more of that tiresome pettifog that I was referring to. You're just nit-picking and ignoring the point just to start shit with me, most likely because I've gotten under your skin in the past and your ego just can't let it go. Lame. . . Lame. 6. We can't give you an inch. Because the minute we do you will start dreaming about setting up a "christian" society. Only slightly better than some of the current "islamic" ones. None of us want to take a chance on being governed by clerics of any stripe. Or anyone else who supposes that they know what "god" or a "prophet" or maybe a "messiah" wants. Fundamentalist christians would suppress gays just as hard as we allow them to. And subjugate women as well. If they could they would pass laws. Because they say the magic man wants them too. But really we all know that these beliefs come from within people's minds. If you want to align yourself with Ron here I will assume you share his core beliefs. And at least some of those beliefs are evil. We won't be fooled again. History has shown what societies ruled by religion are like. You just proved my point why Sharia in the U.S is nothing to be worried about. ...and tho you've been registered here for awhile, I don't remember ever discussing my religious views with you until recently, so you're probably unfamiliar with my posting history wrt to my support for the separation of Church and State, and why. This is the key sentence Jerry objects to. I'm going to ignore that thing about gays, because you couched it in a way that allows you to disown it. That's just a bunch of bs. I've never advocated for the execution of homosexuals - that goes against everything I stand for as a Christian. The point was that if you can't even force people to pray in school, how the hell are Muslims ever gonna legally execute homosexuals? Most people understand the context when somebody says "no prayer in school" - gimme a break. I also understand that the separation of church and state is a two-way street. I don't want your politics in my religion, and you don't want my religion in your government. I'm cool with that. ...but it's very clear that people like you, Jerry, Bill and Normiss aren't so interested in unity, understanding, nor compromise as you are in creating more contention with your tiresome pettifog. You're so bloated with hatred that it's blinded you from even recognizing when people are trying to agree with you. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  7. Hey Ron, you see what's happening here? You can't give these people an inch. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  8. I initially considered rephrasing the sentence because I figured someone like you would selectively nit-pick and blow it out of proportion, but I said to hell with it - Those that care to understand, will understand - those that don't, aren't really worth the trouble. It was a more simplistic way of making the point. That's your problem, not mine - go back and fill yourself in on the context and enlighten yourself. Nobody else apparently had a problem understanding what I was saying - so maybe you're the problem. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  9. What is 'good' about a post that includes: " . . . let alone execute homosexuals." Maybe you're missing something. You have to understand that Wendy not only took the time to go back and look at the context of the post I was actually replying to, but also has the capacity to comprehend what she read. 10. I think the impending financial crisis is the first and foremost threat to "our way of life" - a way of life that for most Americans has exceeded their means. Right now people have a lot to live for - but when it's all taken away, they'll change their tune quicker than you can say "pay the piper." As for the Sharia law thing - I just don't buy it. Right now about 70% of the country identifies with Christianity and we can't even pray in schools or set up nativity scenes, let alone execute homosexuals. Muslims represent about 1% of the population and I don't see that changing any time soon - hell, blacks have been here longer than most of us and they haven't even reached the 15% mark yet - and the ratio between whites/blacks hasn't changed in the last 150 years. As for Trump/Hillary - it looks like I'll be "voting my conscience." In the last ten years, I've had to make much bigger decisions that would have an immediate an direct impact on my life - and tho I knew it would make my life much more difficult, I had to go with my conscience and make a decision based on faith. . . . . .and God hasn't failed me yet. 12. Animal instincts are not to be discounted, however, if this really were an "alpha dog" situation, I think Hillary probably could best Trump in a fist fight. Especially what with his tiny hands and all. I've long been of the opinion that Mr Trump has never been in a fight in his entire life. A couple of beatdowns growing up rather than the silver spoon up his arse that he had may have been good for him. All this shit slinging must be a sign of intelligence . . . http://phys.org/news/2011-11-poop-throwing-chimps-intelligence.html Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  13. If Kane's predecessors didn't go to the media and expose that she was about to let 6 corrupt politicians off the hook, those politicians would've gotten away with it. It speaks to the mentality of these types of individuals - that they think they have the power to forego justice in order to look out for their own, or to avoid backlash from prosecuting a case that might make them look bad. She certainly didn't get away with her crime - and the justice system is now better without her. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  14. It's attorney generals like Loret. . .er. . .Kathleen Kane that allow Democrats to get away with their crimes in the first place. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  15. In this case the problem was just democrats being democrats. In this particular sting, they were being bribed to vote against something they would've voted against anyway - as if that doesn't raise a red flag - but these morons took the bribes anyway. When Kane took over and discovered that the only ones dumb enough to accept the bribes were black caucus members, she played the race card - just like all good corrupt democrats do - and shut down the investigation without pressing charges. She took exception with being called out on it and leaked confidential grand jury information in an attempt to discredit those that undermined her and made her look bad. In the end, she perjured herself and ended up a casualty in a war that she started. Kathleen Kane: "This is war. Wars have casualties. Wars leave scars." Here's a little tidbit on her fellow scumbag politicians she was trying to protect: All of these corrupt politicians, with the exception of Vanessa Brown ended up pleading guilty or no contest and were slapped on the wrist with probation and got to keep their pensions - then we wonder why this shit keeps happening. Brown - tho she already admitted her guilt to the grand jury is still awaiting trial and continues to make plays from her stacked deck of race cards - just like all good corrupt democrats do. http://articles.philly.com/2014-03-17/news/48269239_1_investigation-kane-ali http://articles.philly.com/2016-03-17/news/71576605_1_operative-tyron-b-attorney-general-kathleen-g-kane http://www.mcall.com/news/breaking/mc-kathleen-kane-trial-opening-arguments-20160809-story.html Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  17. And what would that be? If we're going to group people, let's do it by things they can change: citizenship status, education, criminal record, income, religion, location, etc. You keep saying that - as if religion is so easy to change. If that's the case, then just believe in God. Have a little faith and be saved - you don't even have to tell anyone about it. Never said it was easy, just possible to change unlike DNA.
  18. I think the day that word loses it's power would be a good day for black people. . . Then maybe they can quit calling each other that. If the word lost it's power, then it really wouldn't matter who said it - much like dago, wop, polack and cracker - nobody cares. The social issues surrounding the coinage/use of those terms aren't really relevant anymore - unlike those associated with spic, nigger and rag-head. Those terms have power because people give them power. Some use it in a racist or bigoted manner, while others are just too damn sensitive. 20. I think the day that word loses it's power would be a good day for black people. . . I'm just waiting for the double standard to die. Either let everyone say it or no one say it, preferably the latter. The latter would only demonstrate that a problem still existed - let's just ignore it - it's easier that way. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  23. Your friends, like my friends, are probably a rather small group of people when compared to our society at large. Right, and any conclusions drawn for such anecdotal evidence are just as meaningless as your trollish comments that Trump hates black and wants to turn this into a "whites only" country just because your son said so. The fact that Trump supporters tend to be less educated is just as insignificant as the fact that they also tend to have a higher median income. Now you may think you're doing your part by spreading all these fallacies about trump supporters being dumb, bigoted, xenophobic racists that will ethnically cleanse this country, but the truth is that all that bullshit is just giving Trump all the publicity that he needs. Without all that attention, I'm doubtful he would've won the nomination. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  24. That has nothing to do with your anecdote. What doesn't? The words in the box. The fuck else ya think I meant? The anecdote was about a conservative friend - an uneducated Trump supporter that made more money than my educated liberal friends - just like the words in the box. And people who make more money are the only people capable of raising kids without excessive amounts of drugs, or moving out of their parents' basements, right? No, the people who make more money are Republicans - and Trump supporters make more money than Hillary supporters - haven't you been listening?
