  1. Every 12 year old should be as lucky, I commend you on you open-mindness. Did his boss stop the jokes? Jim Don´t belive the hype
  2. I work in Ann Arbor Mi, a community which has a large gay community. One would think that a city with a large gay population would be a little more progressive, but people here crack gay/black jokes all the time it gets really old. Just because I am a white male dosen't mean I like gay/racial jokes, and because I am in sales I have to keep my mouth shut. Maybe someday we can all live in a nation where people don't feel compelled to poke fun at others because of there sexual prefrence or the color of their skin. What's funny is that most men love the idea of two women going at it, but when they see two guys holding hands they wan't to hurt them....why? are people that insecure with their sexuality??? 6. Agreed, the boob can be of almost any configuration and as long as the nipples are nice then they get collectively labled a nice rack, when it is really the nipple that is doing more than it's share. Jim Don´t belive the hype

  9. I think Gus has got this one nailed down here, Americans hate being wrong on any issue, Moore likes to fly these issues like a banner behind a 182 for everyone to see, and we have a rough time with that (even when we agree with him). Jim Don´t belive the hype
  10. I don't know if you are picking up I-75 in Ohio but if you are planning that route then 4 over is it bud, If you go 5 over they will stop you and you have to pay for the ticket right then...dont worry they accept Visa/MC and American Express (how thoughtful). Out of state plates...watch out they may pull you over on BS just to check you out (it has happened 3 times to me and I was never speeding). Good luck and have a safe journey Jim Don´t belive the hype

  12. Well yes in many ways we in the US are responsible for a lot of bad things that happen in the world..our candy companies keep many African people impovrished by not paying a fair price for coco beans(chocolate) so that the price of coco stays low...this same thing is happening in South America where our coffee companies do the same with coffee farmers...It's not the US that is the problem but rather a few evil/short sited individuals and a American public that is largely un-informed. I really feel that most people would be sick if they knew what many American companies do, but the US as a whole is not the problem just a few bad apples. We still have the best thing going, and I would still fight to protect it. I will leave the horse dead in the pasture Jim Don´t belive the hype
  13. My point exactly... I will take gettin mugged any day over gettin killed....people with guns kill. Interesting that someone pointed out that Columbia has roughly 9x the murder rate that the U.S. does...whats interesting is we give them millions in aid and then they in turn buy american guns and other U.S. made weapons with the money we gave them, in fact it is a pre-requsite of getting the aid that they must spend this money on weapons and they must come from U.S.companys......hmmm no politics here Guns kill...no guns=less dead people Jim Don´t belive the hype

  15. The key words here are reported crimes, Russia would top this list easily but most crimes don't get reported as compared to the U.S. or England. The facts (under the UN parameters) state that England does have a higher crime rate than the U.S. but that you are much more likely to be killed during a crime in the U.S., hmmm. England must have a lot of polite criminals, or could it be that they respect human life more that people in the U.S. do?, or just maybe it is because they don't have guns to kill eachother. Remember it is only reported crimes, and in a society where you do not fear the police dept you are much more likely to report something than in a society where the police don't do anything (report a crime less than murder in the U.S. and little happens) or where the police regurarly extort money from the public at large in exchange for not going to jail (there are many reports of Russian police making up drug/weapons charges). If you report a rape in the U.S. the chances are less than 50% that the rapist will ever be found and if you pull a gun on your assialant your chances of not living through the expierence more than double. 16. I agree with FF, Spygame was a good movie, i could also reccomend D.O.A. with Dennis Quade and Meg Ryan it is a old 80's flick but it is one of my fav's Jim Don´t belive the hype
  17. Beer is ALWAYS better when it is fresh....do not wait to drink this beer...it will only loose flavor and gain that skunky taste as it gets older. Beer is also hurt by light, this means all those beers in clear bottle's have a shorter shelf life (thats also why you get such inconsistancy with light/clear bottled beer). I have spent over $100 a night for days straight and I too got a DUI and quit (after my second one that is). Jim Don´t belive the hype
  18. I think it is a must see. The fact are clear, people kill people but people with guns kill more people. In England for instance you can count the deaths attributed to guns using only your standerd hands and feet. In the U.S. death from guns add up to 20,000 or so each year. Why you ask? well in England guns are illegal, even the cops dont have them, and in the U.S......well I think you know how all us bubbas think about guns (I am getting that warm fuzzy feeling). I should state that I kill deer every year with a gun (usually 44 mag but 30-06 on occasion) but thats what guns do, they kill. In fact thats what they (guns) are designed for, killing that is. I like to hunt even though it is tough to pull the trigger sometimes, It gives me a better appreciation for how many creatures die every year for me to live. But guns dont discriminate between deer and people and unless you are doing a Jeffery Damer thing then maybe it is best we dont have the capability to use them on eachother Jim Don´t belive the hype

  20. GONZO!........it likes to fly (or simulate it), gonzo is the natural choice. I am not positive but I think my DZO did a tandem BASE jump on bridge day with a chicken (the chicken was the passanger). Jim Don´t belive the hype

  22. I know a bit about this as I am also in a stressed out job atmosphere and have been unsucessful in therapy. I would like to say that I left my job and it was all better but I cant bring myself to start a new career at this point in my life. Friends saying "just hang in there" mean well but they do not know the pain you feel and that makes it hurt more. There is knowone but you that can make the decision to leave your job or pursue more therapy but I think you should do what will make you happiest in the long run. Know this though, I do know what it means to hurt this way and I hope you can overcome that which is hurting you. Good luck Don´t belive the hype
  23. I was not the last to leave the plane but everyone behind me was involved in a tandem (tandem master/student or video) and they took some time to exit after me. I still checked my air space and could see the drogues of the tandem rigs some distance away. I was subsaqently told that I was ok because of my 5,000 ft alt when I pulled but that one should never exit at 14,500 and pull at 9,000 but rather hop'n'pop at whatever alt or wait until 6,000 ft or under, is this correct? The explanation that the air at higher alt allows you to fall at a faster rate and this could really bang you on the opening seems plausable but is it correct? any input would be appreciated. Thanks for everyones constructive criticisim, it greatly improves my knowledge and allows me to formulate my own opinion when many people respond with their opinion Don´t belive the hype
  24. I should have stated that it wasen't my pack job (and I wont be jumping anyone elses pack job from here on out) and had the rig I borrowed had a RSL on it I would have been in more trouble. My when I cut the main it let the right side go sooner then the left and it caused me to cartwheel a bit, this could have wound up my lines on my reserve. Liz we did find everything but the cut-away handle and the guy who packed it will be paying for the repairs to the chute as it seems that everyone at the DZ agrees that it was the pack job that caused the knot. 25. I had my first main mal yesterday it was a nasty tension knot that was tough to get out, with tools, on the ground...... I pulled high (5000 ft) in a attempt to make it back to the DZ but had the mal. I checked my alt and then messed with the knot for 1500ft, then decided that it wasen't going anywhere, took a deep breath, relaxed, and pulled the cut-away handle. The harness spun me sideways and I cartwheeled for a bit (500 ft?) then became bell to earth stable and pulled the reserve handle. The reserve chute opened and I had a un-eventful ride into a bean field with most everyone else (as the spot sucked). My instructor/friend said the onlt thing I did wrong was wait too long. I was under a reserve canopy by 2000 ft or so and I felt the I should mess with the mal if I wasent spinning (and I wasen't). What doese anyone else think ???? should you chop that quick that high????? Don´t belive the hype
