Man, I am completely losing it! I had a huge stress attack last night, I haven't been sleeping enough and I feel like I can't get the fog out of my head. I walked into work today and I have 43 active cases on my desk (I work for the Postal Ombudsman in Canada). A third of them are late, and this morning, I just froze. I've been staring at this pile of paper for the last two hours and I can't find the energy to do anything. My chest feels tight and I'm wound right up. When I was losing it last night, my wife said I should maybe go jump this week-end, but I told her that in the physical and mental state I'm in, I would just be a risk to myself and to other jumpers. The shitty part is that I have about two and half wees of holidays left, but we're going to South America at X-mas to see my wife's family and I have to keep the holidays for that.... All I want to do is step off the planet for a few days and get my head screwed on straight. NO calls, NO work, NO social outings. I think I'm about to call my Dr. and request bournout leave... Call the DMV!!!! The life you save could be yours!

In Canada, doctors are legally obligated to report a seizure to the DMV. The DMV then follows up. When I had my seizure in Dec 2002, my licence was revoked for a year and I had to get a neurologist to fill out a questionnaire to get it back. I would hope the laws are the same in the US!!!! All I know for sure is that even if I could have driven, I was shit scared to be alone in a car for awhile. I cannot the fucked up feeling of waking up with a paramedic staring at you and saying "Martin, you just had an accident, we're taking you to the hospital." You friend is obvously not bothered by the fact that she might kill or seriously injure someone by being an asshole. Not someone I would hang around with for very long... There's a very cool French movie called "Yamakazi" that was made with some of the first kids to do this sort of stuff in France. The story is kinda lame, but the actual action shots are very cool. It might be hard to get in the US but I got it in Quebec. The whole principle behind this street gymanstics thing in "the art of movement". It can be climbing, jumping, running, etc. What's neat in Yamakazi is that each of the caracters has his own unique set of skills, although they can do it all. You're totally right about the second season!!! I love Lena Olin in that role. What's cool is that every caracter has some sort of secret side that you have to discover. It's a very well written show, but I can see how it might bug some people... I for one was so happy when they decided to do another season after rumours of pulling it last year....

There is one of the reasons th US and the French don't like each other much... This stuff came out in a book written by a french author less than a year after September 11 and did the rounds on the french web and TV shows for awhile...
