  1. 1) I must be physically and mentally attracted to her. 2) She must be physically and mentally attracted to me. 3) She must either be a skydiver/BASE jumper or must accept my need to jump 4) Bad ass freefliers are a total bonus, but not mandatory. 5) Both myself and this mythical girl must be honest and respectful towards each other. 6) I have dated single moms before and have either clicked with the mom and not the kids or clicked with the kids and not the mom. So if I was to date a single mom, I need to click with both kids and mom. 7) Never say never (because that special person may be worth the effort), but I'm at a certain stage of my life where I don't think I want to have my own kids. I have too many fun climbing and jumping related goals to have the rug rats get in the way. I'm not sure what else to say. We need to have standards, but if we are too picky, a good person for us could come along and we may have brushed them off because of some preconceived criteria. 2. I'm just reviewing this thread and I almost think I could apply to ChoasKitty for the job. But unfortunately it looks like while I may pass seven of her eight requirements, I failed the first one. 8. Gotta be able to handle the big stuff and not freak out over the little things. I think I can handle this one. 7. No kids. No problem here. 6. Mental stability is a requirement. I think I'm good here. Let me ask my shrink though (after I hire one). 5. He can be a whuffo as long as hes not scared. Shed my whuffo skin a while back. 4. Must be a college grad, or working on it. I'm an educated professional earning a good living. 3. No more guys named MICHAEL. No Michaels in my name. 2. No more military men. Not a military guy. 1. Not really interested in long distance dating. D'oh ... I can understand this one though as about six years ago I attempted to have a long distance relationship with a former high school girlfriend, what with myself being in Colorado and her in Ontario. But it was difficult if not impossible. Oh well ... what can you do? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. Thanks for the post Murrays ... that was a good read. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. According to Gary350: "Oh, about six to eight inches?" So if I stand on my tippy-toes, then I've just given myself a raise? Or do I need to start wearing platform shoes? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  6. I thought the guilty party has already been fingered. Isn't it Girlfalldown? Though I'm still baffled at how a woman is able to get another woman pregnant. Of course I read it on the internet, so it's got to be true right? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. I'll be at the DZ with the hopes of demoing the exact reserve canopy that I'll have in both of my rigs. But it looks like Mother Nature doesn't want us to be jumping this weekend. She's a bitch I say!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Yeah, the guy he laid out had delivered a nasty hit to a Vancouver player and didn't get a penalty for it... IMO, 'twas a clean hit... but it don't matter. Plus the Vancouver players had publicly put a bounty on Steve Moore's head prior to the game. It would have been fine if one of the Canuckleheads was to confront Moore with a one on one, face to face fight and pummel him (in fact this indeed happened earlier in the game, the fight not the pummeling part). But this wasn't the case. Bertuzzi clearly lost it and now he must pay the price. In fact I'd be willing to bet that Bertuzzi did what he did because Moore held his own in that fight and felt that he still had a score to settle. In other words, Bertuzzi felt that Moore hadn't been hurt yet and need to be hurt because of the clean, yet tough hit Moore put on Nasland three weeks prior which resulted in Nasland missing three games. This isn't likely to happen (because Bertuzzi is a talented power forward). But it would be cool to see all of the NHL teams (including Vancouver) black list him. It would send a message to the rest of the players that sucker punching someone will cost you your career. But unfortunately the world of professional sports doesn't work this way. 9. Isn't GirlFallDown the father of Sunshine's unborn baby? Of course I'm not sure how that's possible for a woman to father a child, but I read it here on DZ.COM and if it's on the internet it's got to be true right? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. Having met Skreamer and knowing that he is a good person, I think the only reason why he attached that quote to your message was because you mentioned something about hijacking this thread. I thought the originator of that quote was out of line (what does the separatist movements in Spain which has been going on for years have to do with American politics). But sometimes people don't look at the big picture of what is said and who said it here on "DZ.COM". So please don't think Skreamer was insinuating that you said it. Oops ... he beat me to the punch. 11. Welcome to the sport I've been playing for 35 years. Based on these comments, I can only say one thing. You are a hockey player. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. I am not a religious person, but that was VERY good. Hope you don't mind if I forward it to some non-DZ.COM people. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. I say that if modern civilization is going to act uncivilized, then let's bring back the gladiator games. This way, my beloved game of hockey won't be thought of as this brutal sport any more. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. I've always considered Bertuzzi to be a skilled yet rough and yes dirty player (but dirty only in the normal hockey sense). But this was a nasty, uncalled for incident with the intent to injure (and a serious injury was the result). I am not calling for jail time, I am not calling for revenge. I am contempt that the NHL has done the right thing. I have nothing against the Vancouver Canucks, or their fans. But if the hockey Gods are not sleeping this year, the Canuckleheads will get eliminated from the playoffs so that the good people of Vancouver can think about what a shit this guy is. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I see it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. My heart and prayers (I'm not even religious) goes out to you and your countrymen today. What a horrible day for the Spanish people. I can only say that I am happy that a fellow DZ.COMer slept in and didn't become a victim. Dang ... humans can be nasty creatures with little to no respect for life. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. The CHL also allows fighing, but only because they are grooming the players for the NHL. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. LOL ... leave it to Sunnydee123 to put a smile on my face. It's too bad that this will be the last year with my Avs season tickets as it would be fun to take you to a game. I hope the Vancouver Canucks get eliminated in the 1st round this year. Then Bertuzzi's teammates and fans can squarelly point a finger at him and say "look at what you did, you dumb shit". And yes cry me a tear Mr Bertuzzi. I call your bullshit when you say you didn't mean to hurt him. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. With all due respect to the trolls, it's guys like you who I can have a open minded conversation about the sport and this incident because yes you do know a thing or two about the sport. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. For the most part these are the so called fans who know little to nothing about the game who go to the games for the fights. Hockey is NOT about fighting people!!! It is about the speed (it's the fastest non-mechanical human sport), it's about the athleticism, it's about the team work. I don't want to say it, but I will. Hockey is a Canadian game (it's obviously played throughout Europe and America) and ever since the USA took over control of the professional game, they (the Americans) have allowed this aspect of the game (the fighing) to continue because they deemed it as entertainment for their people. All one needs to do is attend an NHL game in Canada and an NHL in ther USA and you will notice the difference in the mindset of the fans. I don't mean to turn this into a Canada vs the USA thing-a-ma-bob, but the fans in the two countries are very very different. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. Like it or not, fighting is accepted at the professional levels are just part of the game and the guilty parties are sent to the sin bin (penalty box) for a major penalty (5 minutes). And if three major penalties are incurred during a game, then a match penalty is assessed and the player is tossed from the game. But at the amateur levels (not talking about the CHL here though), fighting is not tolerated and the guilty player(s) are tossed from the game and usually suspended or expelled from the league. Not to say that it doesn't happen (it's an emotional game), but fighting in the amateur ranks is rare. As for parents getting into brawls with refs, coaches or other parents? Well that's just stupidity and come on people, this doesn't just happen in hockey. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Bertuzzi was wrong and nowhere do I condone such behavior on and off of the ice. And as far as I'm concerned, the NHL did the right thing by suspending Bertuzzi for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs. Not factoring the injures to Steve Moore, this was NOT the worst act of violence during an NHL game, but Bertuzzi has received the longest suspension in NHL history. So while it's not perfect, it is a step in the right direction. Please people, think before you hit that "Send" button. If you have little to no knowledge of the game, you are not helping any by acting as a troll and saying this or that and how barbaric we hockey players are. You have no idea as to how fast the game is played in a confined area with body contact on ice using two narrow stainless steel blades to keep you moving and using a stick with this hard rubber object. You have no idea as to the emotions which can be built up in such a fast dynamic environment. You know the way "Ron" one of our estemed DZ.COM posters is always going on about himself being experienced, and seeing a lot of crap in skydiving in his 10+ years (or whatever it is) he's had in this sport (skydiving)? Well I'm kind of like Ron in regards to hockey. If you know a thing or two about the game, then sure we can talk our ears off. But if you're a Troll, stick to something else. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. I suspect that you have little to no knowledge about the game and have just decided to slam something because it was the popular thing to do around here. Hockey is a rough and tough sport and yes at the elite levels fighting is part of the game (like it or not). But fighting is not something which often happens at the amateur levels. It is NOT the barbaric sport many people think it is. As a life time player (35 years and counting playing at some fairly high levels) I know that while these incidents do occur, they do NOT occur as often as people like you assume they occur at. Now what's that saying? "Don't assume anything. Otherwise you will make an ass out of you and me". Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Well the jury is out and Bertuzzi has been found guilty. He's been suspended for the remaining regular season games as well as the playoff games and his eligibility for next season must be determined by Commissioner Bettman before training camp commences next season (which could be a mute point if the expected lockout materializes). Plus the Vancouver Canucks have been fined 250k. More about this whole thing can be found here. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Not that I'm any sort of expert (LOL as I'm not), but I think he was confusing treating women well with the stereotypical "nice guy" syndrome. Being honest and treating people with respect is the way to go. But being despirate is not a characteristic that people are interested in. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Not that I don't like or don't trust LouDiamond, SkymonkeyOne or you Bytch. But I ordered my GTi wingsuit through Birdwoman (locally) because I wanted to make sure I was measured right. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
